Anyone currently on the Reflection?

We were supposed to cruise next week, but decided, last week to postpone the cruise due to the rise in numbers from Covid.

We booked Celebrity Apex, next December for a 10 day cruise of the Southern Caribbean.

Which islands did you miss?

St croix, Grenada and st kitts. Substituted Nassau for st croix on day 2, then 2 sea days, Antigua tomorrow as scheduled ( so far.) then Barbados instead of Grenada, Dominica as scheduled then st Maarten instead of st kitts. Captain has kept us well informed of changing circumstances. With so few people it’s like a luxury cruise.

I'm disappointed to hear that you didn't make it to St. Kitts.  That is one of the reasons we chose Reflection for 1/19.  I love St. Maarten but we visited there in September when we sailed on Edge.

Thanks for the info.

Can anyone in Retreat Class confirm that Micheals Club still has the Nespresso machine available for guests to use? I see it in the photos here on Cruise Critic. Also, Are there really huge refrigerator cases like in a grocery store with complimentary beverages for you to take on your own? The one's on the Apex are the little under the counter refrigerators. Same purpose but I was just wondering.

We were on Reflection last week.  The Nespresso machine is in Michaels, but don't know if it works.  I went in one morning about 7:30 or so and on of the staff was setting up.  She asked if I'd like coffee and I said yes.  She went and got it somewhere else for me, but not from the Nespresso machine.

Also there is a big refrigerator with beer, water, soft drinks that you can grab.

I’m onboard with Anne; she has the most amazing floral shirts ever.😀

Things are great, from our perspective anyway. Select dining people are spaced well, every other table open. Loads of space in the buffet, theater, pool area etc. and the crew is trying super hard to please. We’re trying to stay out of crowds and haven’t spent much time in shows- not our thing anyway. But the first show, a cappella group, had maybe 50 people at the 7pm show. Distance hasn’t been a problem. Itinerary has changed twice but we figured it would, still having a great time.

Thank you, Kirsten.  Have you been the casino?  I am wondering if social distancing is even possible.

Following along.......we will be on the Reflection on the 19th.  Hoping for small crowds, great food, sunshine, no Covid!

We also are scheduled on the 19th sailing, but aren’t sure if we’re going to go! Clock is ticking though so we need to decide soon!

Hi Ken

Been following you on your cruises, we will be joining you on Feb 5th for a B2B, canceled Silhouette January 14th B2B prior to this one but re-scheduled it for March.

This will be the first B2B starting our 3 ship tour. After Reflection will head over to Apex for B2B then onto Silhouette for a B2B.

Will be interesting if we make them all!

Hopefully we will run into each other for a fist pump hello.

Cheers!

Wow! You're going to be busy! For us after the Reflection, we'll be taking a break until we jump on the Caribbean Princess for an 18 day Panama Canal cruise in April. 😎

We’ve just walked by a few times; hasn’t seemed crowded at all. People at slots seem to be self spaced every other machine. Everyone has been good about masks indoors and with only 1040 onboard it’s hardly ever crowded in any venue.

Thanks.

Please post while you are on board so those of us following can keep up to date on how things are going. Thanks!

Just checking with folks currently on the Reflection to see how the cruise is going to hopefully build some excitement for our upcoming Feb 5 B2B cruise. How are the shows and food so far? How many passengers actually made it onboard this cruise?

Will be on the Feb 5th sailing with you and Countess5

We boarded the Reflection yesterday.  We have 816 passengers on board according to the hotel director.  The ship feels like a ghost town.  Fixed late dining switched to open select dining.  No reservations needed.

Just curious, did you use the AI Basic Surf internet package while onboard to post this to CC while or are you using the Xcelerate Streaming?

We were supposed to be on your cruise, but cancelled because so many flights from Vancouver were being delayed or cancelled. I hope you have a wonderful time! I sure wish I were there.

Now that the CDC has changed the Covid cruising requirements, is Celebrity going to continue mask-wearing? We are booked 1/19, and I am hoping they are still going to take precautions.

I'm also sailing 1/19...I hate the darn mask, but if it keeps me safe, I'll wear it!
