A singer, guitarist, and multi-instrumentalist, Kevin was born in Bogota, Colombia. He plays a variety of music styles, from acoustic favorites to becoming a "one man band" using guitar, drum sampler, bass sounds, keyboards effects, vocal choirs, and more. Thank you!
Rare Ken the cruiser Posted February 6, 2022 Author #52 Share Posted February 6, 2022 I have to admit the Reflection Grand Foyer does have a very artsy design when viewed from above! 😎
Rare SonuvaBeach Posted February 6, 2022 #53 Share Posted February 6, 2022 I have a quick question....did you have to fill out the Electronic Health Authorization System (EHSA) for any of your stops? We are looking to go to most of your stops in 2 weeks on the Millennium. A call to Celebrity gave us almost no information.
39august Posted February 6, 2022 #54 Share Posted February 6, 2022 Is that a dead tree upside down in the foyer picture? I can't remember on which ship, either Silly or Reflection last time we were on it, the tree was dead and leafless. You'd think it would have been replaced by now! On the 7 Caribbean legs we’ve been on so far since August, not counting these two, we have never had to fill out any form to go ashore. The only requirement we’ve run into is sometimes we would have to carry a copy of our vaccine card along with a photo ID and, of course, wear our mask. Hopefully those folks delayed in Dallas and other locations by the weather were able to make it onboard. 🤞🤞 We made, all the AA flights to FLL were cancelled on Friday.. We managed to snag the last 2 seats Southwest had fo FLL on Saturday . We were not able to get our luggage back from AA (it would be up to 2days to retrieve it once checked) so AA flew it to FLL on the 1st flight out Sat a.m. our luggage arrived around 11 on AA & we arrived on SW at 12. Breathed a sigh of relief when we reunited with our luggage. We went to the Lawn Grill last night rather than Luminae and had a quiet and wonderful dinner.
helen haywood Posted February 6, 2022 #58 Share Posted February 6, 2022 So glad to hear not only you, but your luggage as well!, made it onboard. We’re sailing Reflection soon so I’m enjoying reading reports of those currently sailing her. As for the foyer picture, that’s not a dead upside down tree. 😁 All S Class ships have a tree suspended in the atrium. Reflection’s tree has added “roots” coming out of the planter. 1

I went and took a few more pictures. You will notice the tree on top is very much alive (or so it appears) with its real roots in the container below it. The artistic “roots” that appear to be coming out of the bottom of the container actually have lights blinking on the tips of each branch.
39august Posted February 6, 2022 #61 Share Posted February 6, 2022 Thanks for the "tree" clarification. I think the dead tree was on Silly. I am sure it has been replaced by now...probably during her "revolution".
Rare Ken the cruiser Posted February 6, 2022 Author #62 Share Posted February 6, 2022 For those who are interested if there is a library on the ship there is. For those curious if there are any children onboard, we sure haven’t seen or heard any yet. Definitely a different feel from when we were on the Connie Holiday cruise in late December. 😎 1

Just found out that our Puerto Plata Nature’s Treasure excursion tomorrow was cancelled by the 3rd party operator. Apparently they have been experiencing some bad weather lately which caused some serious mudslides in the area where we were going to go. So I guess we’ll just be walking around the port area as there weren’t any others that really interested us. But that’s cool. We’re having a blast just being on the cruise! 😎 Also, for those interested in our current location, click on the link. https://www.cruisemapper.com/?imo=9506459 Edited February 6, 2022 by Ken the cruiser 1

Rare Ken the cruiser Posted February 7, 2022 Author #67 Share Posted February 7, 2022 We have a question for you veteran Reflection cruisers. We last sailed on the Reflection on Jan 2019 and distinctly remember the stage being relatively straight across with pretty straight rows. When did they redesign the main theater to include a rounded stage and associated seating?

Looks like it's always been curved as I don't believe those CC photos get updated often.
Rare Ken the cruiser Posted February 7, 2022 Author #69 Share Posted February 7, 2022 After another tasty dinner at Luminae, we went to watch the Gender Challenge Game Show followed by a Tribute to Aretha Franklin by Alfreda Gerald. Then afterwards we headed over to the Grand Foyer to watch the production singers and dancers in Groove and had a great time listening and dancing (in place) on deck 4 to the music of the 60s!

Here’s a picture of the stage design I remember when we were on the Reflection back in Jan 2019 as well as on the Solstice back in 2015. The stage just seemed to be more “round” now than it did back then, especially on each end. It’s no big deal as it is a very subtle change that didn’t require any seating modifications. I just thought it was curious.

Rare Ken the cruiser Posted February 7, 2022 Author #75 Share Posted February 7, 2022 (edited) Just got back from wandering around the port area. However, for those that want to go into town, it’s a 10 minute walk. But if you’re just looking for a nice pool area and/or do a little shopping, it’s all right there at the end of the pier. They even have free 2-person trolleys, who work for tips, that will take you to the end of the pier.
