We'll be boarding on the 10th so I am enjoying going along with you on your cruise. We were on the Enchanted in November and really loved it.  We also had some issues of slow service in the MDR, but we couldn't fault our waitress. She was always running and did her best.

Maybe, the kitchen is slowing things down. New staff? Not enough staff?

We’re sailing in a few weeks and DH is hoping Churchill’s will reopen for cigar smoking.  Would you please check/ask if it’s reopened or will soon for smoking since the mask changes took effect today?

DH only likes to smoke cigars on vacation. As of today it is still closed but I’ll keep checking throughout the cruise.

We were told that a lot of crew are returning so I don’t think it is a training issue. I think it is due to not enough staff for the amount of tables. This has definitely been an issue on this cruise. The more we speak to other passengers the more we learn it is universal.
We were also told today that they plan to open the Santorini MDR when the passenger count is above 2000. We are just over that cutoff so they haven’t opened it for this sailing.

We went to Sabatini’s last night and had an AMAZING meal and impeccable service.
Special thanks to our wait team Ramil and Iole (that’s an I not an L - iole).
As I’ve mentioned before, I am neither a photographer or author but here is my attempt at food porn:

Today was the Pub lunch in the Buffet and our CC Meet and Greet. I have some photos that I’ll share later.
Right now we have to get ready for the Winemaker’s Dinner.
Did I mention I was excited?!?

Your slow dinner the other night might have been because they were shorthanded + the time of 6:40 PM you arrived.

It's a real popular time to eat dinner.

Anyway here's a few more questions should you have the time.

1. Has the buffet returned to self service.

2. Are the self service coffee stations open again to everyone or do      they have to serve you? (like pouring your cream & sugar)

3. Do you recall if Sabatini's had the veal chop on the menu?

Thanks for bringing us along!

You mentioned lunch at Gigi’s. Do they have the same menu as Alfredo’s? I just recently noticed it’s now called Gigi; on my most recent Cruise Atlas it is called Alfredo. Sure hope it’s the same. Loved Afredo’s!

Thanks for the live thread.

We will be on at the end of the month

Can you post a pic of the senior officers' poster here.  Just curious.

Vickie,   I had asked for someone to post the pictures and SpokaneDave did on post 1148 of the Enchanted Feb 28 roll call.                        Sandy

It’s the same menu, and you can eat outside. We had the whole outside area to ourselves yesterday at lunchtime.

We too are on board....the USVI today.

Wonderful crew and the food has been excellent!

Tonight will be at Sabatini's.

Took 3 days to get our mini bar...and they didn't have any mini bottles so we got bourbon, and waiting to get it changed. Also got a 1/2 of French champagne 🍾

1/ The buffet has not returned to self service but still has grab and go items in individual little plates. We learned early on that it works better to empty the little plate onto the big plate because you only have so many hands.
Speaking of the plate - the oval platters are gone in the buffet replaced by much smaller round plates.
2/ coffee stations are self serve

3/ No veal chop offered, see photo

It is the same menu but the line was actually too long so we went to the MDR for a very peaceful luncheon:
