On a happier note, we finally tried Bistro Sur  La Mer. Everything was very good except the escargot. Why mess with a good thing? The only discernible taste was the fried crust and a glob of melted butter on the inside. My recommendation is to choose another appetizer:

They let us choose a traditional escargot dish while on the SKY.

Hi there. We are on the Enchanted  from March 10 to 30. Can you give me an example of what movies are being shown for movies under the stars? Thanks!

Hello! There are no new movies being shown. Most are from a few years ago and many I have not even heard of. To give you an example, we watched The Social Network on our room TV and The Martian was playing on Muts yesterday afternoon.
Tonight they are showing The Farewell.
On the other nights they showed: Jungle Cruise, The Father, The Call of the Wild, Free Guy and The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.

While they were good movies when they first came out it's dated selection for anyone that likes movies.

I suppose they're trying to save money any way they can. 🙁

Yup.  I agree. They used to show new or newer movies but same thing when we sailed Dec.  we did see one or two that were very new. It was still fun watching under the stars! I was glad to be back!

Thanks for your posts!  Can't wait to get back to cruising!  Doing Baltic + TA, 26 days and aside from the itinerary changes, I'm thinking things will be pretty much "normal".

How is the International Cafe?  Things pretty much normal, or don't you go there?  It is my go to place for breakfast/lunch.  I don't usually do buffets, not my thing.  I've been onboard 30 days, no buffet.

Thanks again, and enjoy!

We were on the Enchanted last cruise and we went to the Bistro one night to see how we liked it.  I ordered the escargot which is my favorite.  I called the waiter over after it had been served and asked why I did not get escargot to which he replied that is what it is pointing to the brown balls on my plate.  I tried it and hated it so the waiter offered something else.  I chose the lobster bisque which was very good.  Later on the last formal night I finally got my escargot.  Sounds like the Bistro version is a dud.  We still like Sabatini's the best and did go there one night.  Loved the new menu.

We were on the last Enchanted cruise departing the ship on Monday.  We went to the IC several times for breakfast, lunch and snacks particularly our customary late evening cookie run.  The experience we had was like it had always been but with a much larger place to sit thanks to the expanded piazza.

It is the same menu but the line was actually too long so we went to the MDR for a very peaceful luncheon

Thanks, glad to hear it’s the same. I hear you regarding the line, Alfredos is getting to be very popular for boarding day lunch!

So did we until I read the disappointing review from 2 days ago.

It gave me second thoughts.

On a completely different subject than food.
New signs by the elevators/lifts:

I believe the sign is posted, that's a given, but as hllwdcruiser said, lots of folks are just ignoring the suggestion.

Yes, I believe everything she says. I was just posting the info and getting flak for it lol. Can you tell me if folks are wearing masks at all? Is there any mask regulations in certain areas? I’m just curious..thanks!

I can't but read through this thread & it'll give you some idea of how things are currently on the Enchanted. Supposedly people are to wear them in the show lounge & casino as well as tenders and in the terminal.

I've see comments that some people wear them in the Show Lounge & some don't.

Can't say for the casino as we just rush through to avoid the fumes & won't be bothered with a mask for that.

Can anyone tell me the distance from the ship to the taxi stand in St. Thomas. I have trouble walking, and want to know how long the walk down the pier is. TIA.

When we were there on the Enchanted this week we were one of 5 ships, and there were 2 ships ahead of us at the pier.  It was a very long walk, and It was too far for DH who uses a cane. We should have asked for an electric cart.  Luckily a security guard saw him struggling on the way back and got a cart for him.

I thought there was no smoking in the casino at this time

Yes, I agree and we did enjoy watching the Martian for a second time yesterday afternoon on deck. It is still fun although not too many were watching tonight when we walked through.
I will tell you that we are immensely enjoying watching the old reruns of The Loveboat. They are so corny but remind us of a simpler time.

It is still wonderful and I’ll try to get some photos for you in the next day or two.
The offerings are a little sparse compared to what they used to have, but there is still plenty to eat. I miss the chicken salad and the shrimp salad that were staples in the past,  but they do offer some new salads. They still have plenty of sandwiches and desserts so no worries, you won’t go hungry!

I agree 100%. My filet was good but it was served with 3 potatoes and no vegetables. Steve enjoyed his scallops but neither of us were impressed enough to spend an additional $58 there again. Definitely a one and done.
On the other hand, like you, we really enjoyed Sabatini’s and wouldn’t hesitate to eat there again.

I’d love to find this lady and prove her wrong. There are people wearing masks - but they are definitely in the minority.
We’ve given up the ship (pardon the pun) and feel we are so exposed that we aren’t wearing them either. However, if we are around people who do have them on, especially in the elevators, we put ours on out of respect.

In Antigua and today in St Lucia we did have to wear them in the port areas.
The ONLY place that mask wearing on the Enchanted is required is disembarking at ports and then embarking again.
