I’m not sure I’ve seen this on other ships, or maybe I just didn’t notice.

I first noticed when I thought my balcony door was closed. It was, but not enough.  I re-closed the balcony door and the A/C came back on.

Prior to COVID, we were on Labadee Barefoot beach 6 times in 3 years.

 

Whatever the reason, upkeep, or destruction, no one will ever no, love the remodeled look of the cabanas and the extra cabanas by the food court.

It was time to do some renovation.

Also, the new towel station.

Cannot wait to be back in May.

 

More people will be able to rent one as they desire.

Spoiler alert.  I ran into a “Landscape Specialist” in Central Park today after I came back from Labadee.  I was hoping to get pictures without very many crowds on board. 
 

It was Laszlo.   Laszlo has been around Central Park from the introduction on Oasis and it was great to see him!   Many will know exactly who I am talking about.  We talked longer than I should have distracted a crew member but Laszlo isn’t just a “Landscape Specialist”.  He is Central Park.  Central Park is Laszlo (and the team that works with him).
 

My next bunch of photos when I get some time, will be Central Park.  
 

Such a treat getting to spend some time with him today!  


 

(I asked him to unmask for the photo and since we were outside he did)

Just a rumor, take it for what it’s worth.  

What you’re describing is a deluge sprinkler system. “Fire alarms go off and sprinklers activate.” That type of system isn’t common in an area that can suffer damages due to water if there is a false alarm. Typically there are triggers other than smoke detectors that activate the sprinklers usually a heat activated device so minor smoke doesn’t literally cause the flood gates to open! That being said, if it is a deluge system, what your describing could absolutely happen. Not very familiar with the fire suppression systems on ships.

When you have a moment, can you please post a photo of the outlet/USB set-up in the room?  Assuming it's by the mirror.

 

I wonder if there is another outlet by (or behind) the bed also.  On a few other ships (Quantum/Oasis classes?), I believe there may be.

Day 4 

 

Good morning!

 

 

 

Cabin TV does hinge out 

 

 

 

 

However I discovered last my TV won’t load.  It’s been very slow to startup.  Like 60 seconds.  After that it loaded.  Until last night.  I wanted to watch the interview with Captain Rob but my TV now tries to load…

 

 

… then powers off.  
 

The power cord can’t be unplugged so can’t reset it.  I’ll have to report it and wait.

I have TV reception but only thing to watch is Fox News and sports. So I have been watching BBC world news, it’s pretty good.

Heads up on Labadee and Diamond drink vouchers.  
 

Since Labadee doesnt have WiFi coverage the bars on Labadee are not “connected”.  Paper tickets were used at Barefoot Beach.  The drink I had on Labadee didn’t get added to my account until after midnight last night, after I used all my Diamond drink vouchers on the ship.  
 

 

So while the bartenders and I thought I had Diamond drink vouchers remaining, I forgot to leave a drink voucher unused for my Labadee drink. 
 

So if you plan to use Diamond drinks on Labadee, mentally subtract them your daily vouchers once back on the ship.

You need to walk the entirety of the deck 17 suite hallway.  That’s why I joked banging on the door isn’t going to work. 🤣

The C&A drink vouchers exist as an alternative to the nightly Diamond Happy Hour event.  Pinnacles can still use the Diamond Lounge.  Just because you attain Pinnacle doesn't alter that some benefits were earned upon reaching Diamond and remain as you climb.  
 

It semantics.  Use whatever term works for you.

Not cold.  So far from what I've experienced it takes the edge off the humidity much like Odyssey's climate controlled Solarium.  

 

We haven't had really hot and humid weather yet on this voyage.  It is only March so it may take a few months before we really see how the climate controlled Solarium works.
