Live from Wonder of the Seas! March 4 to 11, 2022 Inaugural Cruise!

Recommended Posts

With just two days to go I haven't seen anyone mention doing a live trip report so let me be the first to start this thread.  Anyone can contribute, or do you own thing, it doesn't really matter.

I had previously settled on this ship being one of those "maybe one day I'll sail on her" so when it was first announced that Wonder was coming to America I had to book it.

Sailing in a deck 8 balcony cabin on this voyage.

Itinerary:

Day One - Embark Port Everglades

Day Two - Sea Day

Day Three - Labadee

Day Four - San Juan

Day Five - Sea Day

Day Six - Nassau

Day Seven - Perfect Day at CocoCay

Day Eight - Debark Port Everglades

My plan is to try to post more on a live basis compared to some of my other threads but then I'll supplement with photos as I take time to process and polish them.

Tested negative of course, printed my SetSail and test results.

I've seen way too many people fumbling through their phone trying to find test results and the setsail pass holding up the line for everyone else so I print everything.  Even the terminal workers are shaking their heads.  I walk up to that first checkpoint and I'm through in under 10 seconds.  Passport card, vax card, test results and SetSail all ready to go.

Pardon me for asking.

If the cruise is from March 4-11th as in the title, how is it sailing from Port Everglades today?

Early in February I saw that people were signing up for a Meet & Mingle.  I haven't seen one of these in a long time and didn't think they were being offered anymore but the cost to apply wasn't a deterrent so I figured I'd jump on the M&M band wagon.

At first I received the automated response email:

Thank you for registering for the Royal Caribbean Cruise Critic Community Meet & Mingle. We are looking forward to welcoming you and our other special guests onboard soon. As you know, a Meet & Mingle requires a 25-person minimum. Once we have reached this minimum, you will receive an e-mail confirming the event. Then, during the cruise, registered guests will receive an invitation in their stateroom with the day, time, and location of the event.

If you have any questions about your Meet & Mingle, visit our Frequently Asked Questions section online at Royal Caribbean by clicking here http://www.royalcaribbean.com/meetandminglequestions

See you soon,
Xplora@rccl.com

Then a couple days later...

CONGRATULATIONS! We've met the 25-person minimum for the Royal Caribbean Cruise Critic Community Meet & Mingle you helped organize for the WONDER OF THE SEAS on our 04-March-2022 sailing.

During the cruise, registered guests will receive an invitation in their stateroom with the day, time, and location of the Meet & Mingle. You can meet your fellow cruisers on the Royal Caribbean Roll Call or Message Boards online at the Cruise Critic community and invite them to join the get together when you click here http://www.cruisecritic.com/community/meetandmingle.cfm. If you have any questions about your Meet & Mingle, check out the Frequently Asked Questions online at http://www.royalcaribbean.com/meetandminglequestions or e-mail us at Xplora@rccl.com.

Will have to see if anything comes of this.
