If in a RS or PH do you get both--the monogramed pj's and robe--or do you pick just 1?

We will be on Silhouette in a PH at the end of March. We spoke with the Shoreside Concierge area last night and they asked us for our size in pyjamas as well as the 2 initials we wanted monogrammed on each pair.

We were not offered a choice.

As mentioned a bit, the "mini bar" is beer and soft drinks that are replenished as needed, and you choose your two liters of liquor. You'll also have an upgraded bottle of champagne waiting on you when you arrive.

Don't get excited about the robes. I believe they've ended those in favor of the pajamas. That's a shame. The robes are excellent (if a bit large). The pajamas are . . . pajamas.  I don't live in a 1930s screwball comedy, so I don't typically wear monogrammed pajamas.

The PJs might  be a good start for a Halloween costume.

Hello again!

When we sailed in Nov on Connie, we're you offered either choice?  We mentioned it to the shoreside concierge (was going to use daughter and grandson initials just for grins) but Anu never said anything about them, so we didn't mention it.

Speaking of Anu, hope we see him again.  Wow, we keep recalling what a gem he was.

Hi Chris

We were not offered either one on Connie. Probably just as well as the robes we received on Edge in 2019 were certainly a packing issue on weight alone!

The shoreside concierge for our upcoming end of March trip said to us that they were not totally sure if anything would be coming, but took our pyjamas sizes and initials just in case.

Perhaps Anu is on his way to Beyond in due course!

Hope all is well with you and Charline.

Randy

I can’t even get a call back from shoreside concierge.  My cruise is in 2 weeks.  I called Retreat and was on hold for almost an hour yesterday.  They told me my Retreat Concierge Person Alicia would call me today.  No calls today.

We got the pajamas, but no monograms. We did not have good luck with the shoreside concierge, but between our butler and steward, we were very well taken care of. We were not charged for mini bar items. We sailed on Silhouette Jan 24.

We do a music charter called rock and romance every year, last two cruises were in a royal suite , there are lots of people who would want to book these suites so we always book next year’s cruise in the royal during our cruise, all suites are normally gone for following years cruise by end of current cruise.

Did you select option 3? I've never had more than a few moments wait when I've done that, and then I speak to a shoreside concierge who usually can help me right then and there.

Did you receive an e mail from a Shoreside Concierge?   I have been doing all my communication via emails, but they contacted me first.

Yes, I believe I've always received an email. At least, that's how I recall it. I've usually received a phone call, but I can think of one sailing when I did not (but I did get an email).

I've replied both by email and phone. I tend to prefer calling them just to run through everything like suite preferences and what not, as I sometimes forget to address everything. For reservations, I tend to like to email just so that I have a better written record (mostly to remind myself).

I usually first hear from them right about 14 days out, but there was one where it was more like 12 (no big deal, of course). There was one cruise where I did call because I hadn't heard from anyone 10 days out. Well, it turns out that I just missed seeing the email that had been sent to me a few days before.

For us in the RS on one Cruise and PH in the second (in October) they told us they no longer do the robes and only PJ's.    They delivered them and are still hanging in our closet never used.

I have a feeling it has to do with the Shoreside concierge.   I've had the same experience with the concierge you mentioned above.     I asked her a specific question 4 times before she may have actually read it -  all other times she would just send me the standard form reply.

I was asking a pretty simple question -   Where is the Special Delivery Drop  off desk for luggage.

Yes, I did and then was on hold for an hour.  When I did finally get to talk to someone she said my Concierge Person was on a break and would call me back!

Ah, ok.  Well, she was supposed to call me after her break.  That was almost 3 days ago!  Is there an email for Shore Concierge?  Thanks, Jim.

The 'person-specific' address is unique to the individual (e.g., ConciergeJennifer@celebrity.com or the like), but you can also email generically to them at theretreat@celebrity.com

August 2021 Two weeks in the Royal suite on Millie

* Phone call from shoreside concierge.

* Escort from check in to suite.

* PJ's only - Monogramed

*Excellent Butler (Retreat Host) fabulous job with in-room dining.  Hot and on time.

* Carried back all 4-bottles of booze for the adult kids at home.

February 2022 1 week Edge Royal suite

* Email from Concierge

*Escort provided

*PJ's only -Retreat emblem

*Amazing Butler (Retreat Host) Saved my marriage! I forgot the adapter cord for my C-pap machine.  Could not locate a cord anywhere in Fort Lauderdale. Walgreens would not sell me the machine without a prescription.  Without my machine I am physically sick the next morning.  Not hoping for much I shared with our Butler my delima.  He found a crew member with a PC that had a cord that matched my adapter!  Every night he would bring me the cord and then pick it up in the morning.  AMAZING!!!

*Left 3-bottles of booze on the ship!  Arg... should have given them to someone.

*Spa included at no extra charge.

What really makes sailing on Celebrity special is the amazing people taking care of you which has little to do with the Royal Suite, but I need to share.

* Edge = greeted by name at check in by the Concierge who said she saw our name and remembered us from the August sailing on the Millie.  Loved the special attention.

* Maitre'd from Millie is now the Martie'd at Eden.  He greeted and remembered us when we were just walking around the ship. We had a very special experience in Eden.

*Two of the waiters in Luminae had served us on the Refection and were amazing to see again and re-connect with.

Cheers!

🥂

We are in the Royal Suite on Summit and Alex is our Retreat Host, the best we have ever had. We got monogrammed pjs and he actually threw a party with food and drink for our friend’s bd for 8 people.

The shoreside concierge contacted us by email and phone a month before and set up dinner reservations and our preferences.

Her name was Alex also.

We have a RS booked and traveling with another couple in a CS a couple cabins down. If we wanted to do room service from a dining room would our host also arrange for that with the other couple if they wanted to eat with us?

That should be no problem

Another question. Does the all specialty dining include the seafood tower from The Porch restaurant or is there an up charge for that

Depends on who you ask - but we ordered it twice at the porch and both times it was NC. At Tuscan Grille, I was charged for the aged/prime grade NY strip (it was a letdown, quality wise). I asked the retreat host about that and he said he would credit our account, only because I had asked the shoreside concierge ahead of time about this (and was told it was covered). He said it's not a RS benefit.

Jim you will get a chuckle from this.  I finally received an email from above named Shoreside Concierge Host at 5:59 pm yesterday.  Standard form letter and at the bottom she puts she will be on vacation from 3/15 to 3/20!  Her work day ends at 6 pm.  How convenient!  She said I could call and talk to anyone and I did but hung up after 30 minutes on hold and sent her an email.  We don’t sail until 3/25 so hopefully my requests go through!
