Suite amenities with a guarantee suite booking

I had booked a CS as a guarantee and ended up being assigned a RS, sweet. Now I know if you did a Move Up upgrade you don't get any additional benefits that might come with the upgrade but how does it work with an upgrade on a guarantee booking? Will we get the two bottle of liquor, free premium dining, etc. or just what we would have gotten in the CS room?

I would think you will get the same benefits.    The CS and RS have the same number of  points per day and usually get the same perks.     The amenities that come with the room e.g. free bar setup and laundry would also be included as the amenities of the room

You will definitely get the free bottles of booze, unlimited specialty dining, and laundry.   Even thous upgraded are given the amenities that come with the room

The points for the RS and CS are the same but the amenities and price are not.  We were in a CS 2 weeks ago and the bar set up, bottles of booze, specialty dining and laundry were not amenities of the CS.

I agree that you'll get all that, as that just comes part and parcel with the room.  Sailing RS is a real treat!

What ship are you on?

Correct but I was saying that they get the same perks as their original booking but get the Amenities (Bar Setup, Laundry and Free Dining) with the RS.     Didn't mea to insinuate you would get those amenities  with a CS.

Congratulations.  Love the R.S.
Did you have the Indulge package with your original CS guarantee booking? (Premium drink package, gratuities, streaming internet, and OBC)

Out of curiosity what ship did you book the suite guarantee  and get lucky like that? 🙂

It is on the Millennium, the really strange part is that the cruise is in August and they assigned the RS back in November, way early before the cruise which seemed strange but I'll take it. The only thing I can think as is that it's a SEA and Land cruise and our first booking we had on Celebrity. Maybe they were trying to make a good impression?

We didn't have a package, but it was all included in the fare. We had all that on a sailing in the Apex we did in January where we had a CS, got it via a Move Up bid from a SS.

Sorry, I was not clear with my question.  Are you saying that your original CS GTY (that was upgraded to an RS) booking included the Premium Drink Package, Streaming Internet, gratuities and OBC when you originally booked it?

Thanks.

Yes.

Thank you.  I was looking for a confirmed test case about the Premium Drink package inclusion with a RS.

Enjoy your R.S.  I recommend that once you are contracted by the shoreside concierge that you make numerous Speciality dining reservations  at your preferred times (although the M class does not have as many options).  You can always modify them later.  Do not forget that you have unlimited Gelato and speciality lunches are included.  (If there are any)

If the ship has the AP, you can use it to help select Speciality dining days.

Sorry, I do not know must about the M class.  Most of my experience is on the S Class and one Apex cruise.

Keep in mind that he already had the Premium Drink Package because he had originally booked a Retreat class room.

Yes, that is what he just told us.  I was originally thinking that since he had a GTY booking, he might not have the Indulge package.  (But he had all those items with his original GTY  CS booking)

So his experience will not be applicable.  I know that some people believe that the Premium Drink Package and Internet have been removed from the R.S. Standard amenities. (It was always previously included). The Gratuity and OBC were not originally standard amenities.  (Without the 123 or BBB)
I have yet to read a post where someone has stayed in an RS from an upgrade or Move Up bid who did not get the Premium Drink package.  Of course many people have had that experience with suites below the RS level.

Personally I cannot imagine someone staying in a R.S. would be given two full bottles of liquor, bar set ups, and unlimited beer, but not get the Premium Drink Package.  It would not be the first time that Celebrity had conflicting information in various areas of their website.

Unlimited free gelato in Royal Suite?  We are in one Friday and told my husband he can use our OBC for gelato!

Yep.  He can now buy you an overpriced gift.
I sometimes use my OBC for a better selection of whiskey or wine. (Pay the difference).  Or in the Casino.

IMO the gelato is not that good compared to what you get on land.  But you can decide.😊

It can be hard to spend your OBC in a RS!

Casino, iLounge (IF they have stock) or plain old shopping.

But Casino is the easiest to withdraw your OBC and even transform it into cash if you're willing to accept the risk of some breakage in the process.
