PatnJudy Posted April 30, 2022 #76 Share Posted April 30, 2022 I just booked on Carnival Glory a mere 2 weeks before sailing. I sent a copy of my holdings the next day. Then I followed with an email. Have not heard a word. A month ago, I took a last minute Norwegian cruise. Not having time to process the ownership request, I took my statement with me. They honored it immediately. I hope CCL serves shareholders as well as their competitors do.

Include your name, booking number, sailing date, ship name, and a copy of your documents showing the shares you own. Post #7 on this thread shows a good example of the information to include. One thing to add---in addition to the information noted in the quoted post, be sure to black out (or white out) your customer identifying number for the stock brokerage. farjar Posted April 30, 2022 #80 Share Posted April 30, 2022 On 4/8/22 I sent an email requesting OBC for our two upcoming cruises. I thought I attached a jpg picture of our statement but I am very bad on computers. On 4/26/22 I received an email saying: Unfortunately we are unable to open anything sent in this manner. Please respond as a PDF attachment or our fax is 305 406-6477. On 4/25/22 I resubmitted everything by snail mail. If that doesn't work I will pay to have it faxed. Fortunately there are still a few months before our sailings.

I spoke to Carny about how long it takes, and the rep. says that..."...if it comes by regular mail, it goes to the general information office, to be sorted and sent onto the Shareholders, etc...it's lengthy" She suggested we FAX, and then call after about 10 days. We did not call but credit arrived 2 1/2 weeks.

Like maybe those of us who got them deeply discounted in March/April 2020 they are denying vs those who are upside down they approve? No, we got our 200 shares at the extremely low price of $8 and change per share, and have never been denied. Granted we don't have any 'basically free' casino offers, but they are Casino rates and we have only had approvals so far. Crossing fingers. CM1984 Posted May 2, 2022 #83 Share Posted May 2, 2022 We booked our April cruise three weeks before, I sent in my OBC Shareholder request, and received an acknowledgement within a few minutes. I forwarded my same email twice. On the day of the cruise, I received the OBC , and got a new Guest Confirmation from Carnival with the added OBC. Couldn’t help cutting it close, but my preference is always request this about two months before, at least!
DUCHESSRN Posted May 3, 2022 #84 Share Posted May 3, 2022 Faxed today after 2 attempts at E Mail in last month ...I sent exact same paperwork to Princess Different Booking No etc and had OBC in 6 days .
Rare ledges1 Posted May 3, 2022 #85 Share Posted May 3, 2022 Received my $100 OBC today for my May 22nd 7 day cruise. This is our 25th cruise. We bought the stock after our 2nd cruise. We have never been denied credit. It is also our 4th this year with credit approved on all four.

PatnJudy Posted May 3, 2022 #90 Share Posted May 3, 2022 I still have not heard back from CCL concerning mine. Does anybody know a phone number? It was NOT an option when i phoned.
PatnJudy Posted May 5, 2022 #91 Share Posted May 5, 2022 I called Carnival and found that because I got a 'Casino offer' my stockholder status does not apply. Oh well. Might influence future cruises. (I still need to pay big bucks for drinks and all that.) It will all depend on how I like this cruise. I have not cruised on CCL for several years. Was yours a free cruise, deeply discounted, or just a small amount off owing to the casino booking? It all seems very random - how they decide what to accept and deny. Last 4 cruises, 2 of them deeply discounted, I received shareholders credit for each of them. I sent an email to shareholders@carnival.com stating the following: Hi! Please find attached my current brokerage statement. Please issue shareholder credit to the following: Legal name: MY NAME Booking number: MY BOOKING NUMBER Ship: MY SHIP Sailing date: THE EMBARKATION DATE Thank you! I attached two screenshots, one indicating my Carnival stock and the other my name, both with the account number redacted. I would get an immediate automated response saying they received my email. Then 2-3 weeks later I would get an email saying the shareholders credit had been issued.
CruisinChandlers Posted May 12, 2022 #99 Share Posted May 12, 2022 I was originally denied when I sent mine in for a cruise this November. After seeing this thread and all the advice to resubmit, I resent the request by email on April 18th and was approved this morning. So about 3.5 weeks. This was NOT a Casino rate, I found that last-minute deal on a 3rd party website. Carnival has some serious, major and I do mean, major problems getting back to pre-Covid standards. Kudos to Carnival for a job well-done diluting what cruising used to be all about. Pack 'em in Carnival and treat your passengers like cattle, that's for sure. This was my 78th cruise overall, my 20th with Carnival. Would I go again? Sure, at this rate, it's cheaper than a couple of days at a Motel 6. I just get on the ship and do my thing .... eat, sleep, drink, pick up a girl or two .... repeat and ignore everything else. Thanks, Fred. Hey Fred, I do agree with you that all the cruiselines are having a tough time getting back to pre Covid standards. But guess what, so do some of my fellow guests. Appalling, entitled, gross are just some of the words to describe what I am seeing on a RCI ship now..People ***** about Carnival but will go because they cruise is cheap. Dont go.
