After seeing this thread and all the advice to resubmit, I resent the request by email on April 18th and was approved this morning. So about 3.5 weeks. I also resubmitted for one of my denied cruises. Did it last week, so definitely will have a bit of a wait, I am sure.

hockeyluver Posted May 13, 2022 #106 Share Posted May 13, 2022 Does it show up anywhere on your statement that it has been aprroved ? I put mine in about 3 weeks ago for my next 4 cruises, should I have done one at a time ? I am new at this. Thanks

That is an understatement of the biggest magnitude....lol.... :-) On the Majestic Princess, 3 weeks ago I did a 7-day cruise in a balcony for a total of $94 (after various refundable obc's). The cruise industry is in total chaos and disarray like I have never seen in the 51 years I have been cruising. I am surprised that we are not seeing more casualties (lines going belly up) than we have seen so far. Thanks, Fred I agree, but the caviat here is its not just the Carnival line, where is years past it was. In fact Royal is just as bad if not worse as I have seen this week! Thanks You should be notified by email from Carnival indicating you either received stockholder credit or not. You can also check your cruises in your Cruise Manager. Go to Booking & Order Details and scroll down to View Invoice Details and click on that. Scroll down and it should be under On Board Credits if you received your stockholder credit. I usually send in my shareholder request one cruise at a time but I have heard of others sending in multiple cruises. Hope that helps! Rare Tom-n-Cheryl Posted May 13, 2022 #112 Share Posted May 13, 2022 This is one place where Royal Caribbean/Celebrity have it down. I used this online form for the shareholder credit there for our 12/03/21 Independence of the Seas booking, and it went smoothly (can't recall when I heard back). For either Royal or Celebrity, you use the same form. I just submitted today for our August Independence sailing as well as our B2B sailing on the Reflection this November. I'll make note of the response time this go-around. Tom

I sent an email to shareholders@carnival.com stating the following: Hi! Please find attached my current brokerage statement. Please issue shareholder credit to the following: Legal name: MY NAME Booking number: MY BOOKING NUMBER Ship: MY SHIP Sailing date: THE EMBARKATION DATE Thank you! I attached two screenshots, one indicating my Carnival stock and the other my name, both with the account number redacted. I would get an immediate automated response saying they received my email. Then 2-3 weeks later I would get an email saying the shareholders credit had been issued. Is the request process the same whether you've booked through a travel agent or directly with Carnival? Thanks in advance.

racephoto Posted May 18, 2022 #119 Share Posted May 18, 2022 I booked one 12 day sailing and submitted the shareholder request right away back on May 2nd. A bit later, probably 5 days, I booked the next voyage, a 9 day sailing (in a different cabin) and submitted a request for that one. Much to my pleased surprise, I got an email today referencing both bookings and giving me $250 for my 21 day B2B! I mean, it’s only an extra $50, but it’s a really nice gesture.

Woody14 Posted May 19, 2022 #122 Share Posted May 19, 2022 Did the email thing and it took 2 1/2 weeks but got approved. I agree with a previous poster about the RCL way of doing it is way easier (and faster), I did that for an upcoming Celebrity Cruise and got approval back in 3 days. crazy4themouse Posted May 19, 2022 #123 Share Posted May 19, 2022 Just had my October one denied for the second time.. Oh well. It wasn't really that much of a discounted rate but was, I believe, a casino rate with a big chunk of OBC so I think I'll live without the additional $50. It's just the "spirit" of it that rubs me the wrong way as a longtime stockholder, you know?

Say a bonus at 1,000, and another at 2,500... 🙂 Since one can essentially snag an easy $50/100 for most sailings, the current "investment" of $1,500 returns a VERY generous payout ! Which incidentally I got in at $1.05 ~ 30 odd years ago when Carnival went public. I'll bet you wish you had bought 10,000 !!! Darn crystal ball (of mine). Yours did VERY well !
