Some good offers. I just booked a 12 day Iceland, Ireland, Scotland cruise for August 2023 from London for four people in extended balcony for $3500. That's an excellent price for this itinerary and length of cruise for four people. Very excited. Check your VIFP offers. Only $396 deposit.

I just looked and nothing from Galveston.  I'm still hoping for jubilee or another 14 day half price. A few bucks off. Nothing I'd want..

I got the email yesterday morning. Said the early access VIFP pricing was only good for a few days ending May 19th I believe  ..... I agree that the selection was more limited than the birthday sale last month but the 12 day Iceland cruise I booked for $3500 for four in a balcony was a bucket list cruise where a similar cruise on Royal and NCL fornthe same month, length, and cabin type were both $8000. I had to take advantage of it and I wanted my two teenage daughters to experience Europe. All the offers Carnival makes and to who still confuses me. I only have three Carnival cruises under my belt and not a gambler.

Yes, I prefer inside cabins always have. But even ocean view and balcony and suites weren’t very high

Yea, even for our 12 day  Pride cruise offer in Europe an extended balcony was only a few hundred dollars more than an inside (I have two kids coming) instead of a few thousand.

The 6-9 day cruises under that sale start in December 2023 for me. And the August 2023 2-5 days I'm looking at seem to be normal price.

.... and this is the early VIFP access Memorial Day sale for you, not the May sale right? My 6-9 day cruise sale options start in November 2022 and up to 15 days start in December 2022.

Do you go under "My Offers> Exclusive Early Access Memorial Day Sale" ?

One sailing looked okay, but it's a 5 day. I couldn't find anything in my date ranges over 5 days it was all 5 days or less out of the port I usually sail. (I typically sale from Southern CA).

My husband isn't ready to book another cruise for a bit but I'm trying to at least narrow one down. I see a few from NCL and Carnival but would like to wait and see what Princess has out of SoCal after Oct. 2023. Luckily, a lot of these prices aren't good enough to hook me, they're just kind of meh on prices.

It's under my offers in my profile and the email link. Plenty of 6 days and up.  Weird .... I have 7 days for the Panorama for $180ish starting in November from Long Beach.

There are some very good rates indeed. Some are similar to the birthday celebration. Tempting to be sure. Not feeling so good about the economy right now and decided to go into a holding pattern for now and skip any travel for the rest of the year. The increases in drinks, parking, packages dining and shore excursions helped sway that decision. Everything feels overpriced/overheated at the moment and I'm tired of taking it from all angles. I'm going to wait and see what shakes out over the summer/fall. Too much uncertainty right now for discretionary spending but there are certainly deals to be had for those in a position to take advantage. Seems like a real-deal sale with some real bargains.

I hear ya. We just had to let our pool guy go because it was just too expensive and I can do the same work for less, albeit with my labor and expenses.

But we booked last week for Radiance. I am more worried about the cruise experience. Seems like everything is kinda going backwards.

Not a casino offer.  You merely need to log into your account.

Probably because there are slim pickings.  Looks like there's a handful of cruises, including some peak summer, that are deeply discounted, but generally just one date per itinerary.  There were some "practically free" cruises earlier (mainly to Alaska) but those went very quickly.

no email here.

When I did a search for October 2023 there was no availability for any cruises over 5 days.

I checked for this October and the only thing available were inside cabins

Hi,

Nope. There is no Memorial Day Pre Cruise, Sale whatever they want to call it.

I have ZIP “Memorial Day” Offers under MY Offers OR VIP OFFERS.

I looked in my Junk Email too — just in case I actually received a email.

Carnival just does not send me all these Promo’s that I read other guests receive here on CC.

I get my 84 year old Mom’s emails. She gets Casino offers every week. 50% off etc etc. She hasn’t cruised since before Covid, now due to mental issues she can’t be cruising.

🛳🛳

Bobbi

My husband and I didn't get it either, but my sister did and she hasn't cruised on Carnival in about 5 years.

Same here, I clicked October 2023 all the way to the rest of 2024 and nothing (for me) over 5 days. I wonder if we're not VIFP enough for them, lol. I'll double-check Panorama but I already checked a few times didn't see anything over 5 days. I actually saw nothing for Panorama. There were 2 others, but not Panorama. I am sailing Panorama in Dec. anyways, though.

The best deals are the closer in stuff (this month/next), Australian and European cruises, some real bargains there. A lot of the rest is 5 days or less. This did cause me to check out miracle since I did find a cruise that works for me next year and I watched a walk through and that ship looks pretty nifty to me. Definitely want to sail on her now, so much character and looks awesome.

Same here when comparing the Italy / Greece cruise with the other lines - Carnival pricing was thousands cheaper and since these cruises are so port intensive, it's basically just a floating hotel as I am sure hubby and I will be exhausted after our daily 8-10  hour excursions.

And the offers are very confusing  - a few years back Carnival was giving free rooms out (not a Casino Deal) and my 85 year old Father got one (couple of cruises and not a gambler) and hubby and I did not (Gamblers and over 20 cruises on Carnival).  No rhyme or reason.

Great post and I agree with everything you said. Ours is very port intensive as well. No need to pay the premium high prices of the other lines when we will be off the ship so much. I can use the thousands of dollars saved on great tours and to help pay for airfare. The other lines, which I also like and sail, can't come close to competing with these special prices for Europe cruises.

Same here.  We already have three cruises booked for next year and one in 2024 with the birthday sale 50% off sale that was much better for us.

My offers are valid from May - October only, whereas some posters are booking into 2023, so it probably is very much a YMMV.

yeah mine is good through Nov 2022

I booked two in 2024 under that birthday deal. Much better than what I’m seeing now.

I did!  Got a 4 day on the Valor in the ocean suite for $320/person!  I know it’s an older ship but we’ve never been to New Orleans and I’ve convinced a bunch of couples to go since we all turn 40 this year. We’re going to NO a few days before to party it up without our kids and then getting on the ship. We’re all super excited!

I can see short cruises out of Galveston thru April 2024.  Not interesting to me but great for some.

as I said I see a couple a few bucks off out of Galveston.  I do not see anything on jubilee or the 14 days that are even 25% off much less 50% off.

I can book rcl cheaper. The prices I'm seeing are hardly anything off. Nov 24 $100 off .. again. I'm not interested in nov 2023 I want something past my jan 2024 dream cruise in 2024 that is discounted. Why would I pay those prices?  Sorry I'm loyal to my pocketbook.

Didnt say I cant see those dates ..  I cant see those dates with the sale or a deal im willing to book. I'll take a balcony on harmony over a inside on jubilee. . Carnival needs another real 50% off sale that applies to Galveston.  ..

It's a 6 hour drive to Galveston. Unless its 7 days or b2b cheap on shorter I'm not driving that far and paying for a hotel or parking. Everything in my signature is 14 days or more. I also wouldnt tie up dates in 2024 for some short cruise, those I'd book last minute b2b at most. ..and gas isnt getting cheaper. Well I do have a 10 days in radiance and then a group cruise to meet cc friends on oasis .. but those arent discount cruises. So I'm correcting myself. I almost never book less than 14 days.
