Indianapolis 500

Hi all 

Does anyone know if the Indianapolis 500 will be available to watch on Sunday May 29th?  I will be on Crown Princess. Thanks in advance.

I've never seen races on a ship. Mostly football (soccer version), basketball, some rugby

 

Adding: hockey, sometimes American football on US voyages

Good question, probably not, my family has won the 500 twice.

They do have a contract with ESPN International so it is possible. Might have to check with Entertainment Director. Casino or other spot. Or possible only in cabin.

Not sure, but maybe they will be streaming it on Peacock and u can watch on internet

If someone can confirm the recent Miami F1 race was shown then I think the Indy 500 will be too

I would think not. The race is being carried by NBC and I can’t recall ever seeing NBC on a cruise.

The gambler in me wonders if you can bet on the race while on a ship. One thing the Medallion app offers is sports betting. I've seen it for football, baseball, and soccer. Betting on auto races is pretty niche, but it might be available.

Carrying sports events such as NFL football games and other major sporting events often comes with hefty licensing fees that Princess must pay in order to show on the ships. Princess may or may not decide the fee for this event is worth the price.

 

A number of cable companies allow you to stream their shows on your personal device. OK, a laptop or a smart phone is not the same as a big screen TV, but it still might be possible to see your favorite sporting events using the "Best Internet At Sea."

LOL yes you were! I believe it was the first car to average 150mph. That car is in the museum at Indy.
