techwatcher Posted July 12, 2022 #1 Share Posted July 12, 2022 Hi all, We will be on our Enchanted Princess for our first Princess cruise next week and we be in a full suite. Amongst the Suite Benefits is 'Welcome glass of bubbly to toast the start of the voyage'. Does this mean there's a chilled bottle of 'bubbly' in the suite on arrival? Thanks in advance.
Alcairns Posted July 12, 2022 #2 Share Posted July 12, 2022 No - you will usually get the glass of bubbly when you meet your cabin steward. In April he just brought us the bottle and glasses and left the whole bottle! 1

dog Posted July 12, 2022 #4 Share Posted July 12, 2022 We only got a glass of wine each in our PH suite in May.

Suite Susie Posted July 12, 2022 #6 Share Posted July 12, 2022 That’s a bit of a disappointment compared to all the other lines we have sailed with. We too are in a suite and first time Princess cruisers. Providing it is cold enough and is real Champagne, we will cope with just a glass!
Rare 1025cruise Posted July 12, 2022 #7 Share Posted July 12, 2022 Historically, the free glass of bubbly has been sufficient to test the drainage in the bathroom sink 🙂
Rare c-boy Posted July 12, 2022 #8 Share Posted July 12, 2022 (edited) 🤔huh, there was a silver tray with two champagne glasses and a card informing us that there is a bottle of Nicholas Feuillatte in the refrigerator Edited July 12, 2022 by c-boy
memoak Posted July 12, 2022 #9 Share Posted July 12, 2022 Lately we have just been handed the glass sea filled with some inferior bubbly. In days way past the would bring in 2 splits of Korbel but those days are way past
kokopelli-az Posted July 12, 2022 #10 Share Posted July 12, 2022 We didn't see bubbly but we had this waiting for us on the Caribbean Princess last month. Mix was in the fridge.

To be fair, the sparkling "wine" was probably cold when a hundred glasses were poured a few hours before passengers were allowed to access their cabin.

donaldsc Posted July 14, 2022 #14 Share Posted July 14, 2022 (edited) A very very vastly overrated "benefit". I personally do not drink champaign but the stuff that they pour is best used for maybe rinsing out your mouth after brushing your teeth. JF - retired RRT Posted July 14, 2022 #15 Share Posted July 14, 2022 We didn't even get it offered. Didn't care due to past experience with the "bubbly" stuff they pass out for minis, we weren't interested so didn't ask.
XBGuy Posted July 14, 2022 #16 Share Posted July 14, 2022 OP, as you can see recent experiences vary. In our last two or three suite experiences, our room steward brought us each a glass of Sparkling Wine--may have been Champagne, may have been Prosecco, may have been domestic. We always bring a stash of our own wine on board--including a sparkler (typically, domestic since I am a California wine bigot 😉) which we enjoy on our balcony during sailaway. 2
