Current port bookings definitely indicate that Anthem will be based in Southampton in 2024. However, it is possible that they are just using Anthem as a placeholder to secure bookings at different ports and could switch the ship at a later date. It also looks as though most of the itineraries are just a copy and paste of previous years, doing the same cruises on basically the same dates! We won’t know for sure until the itineraries go on sale around Nov/Dec, but hoping they may treat us Brits to a different ship!

That Liberty frequency lines up very nicely with 9-night frequencies from Cape Liberty. Stops in time to change to 9-night Canada/New England for the fall.

 

The every 4th week itineraries...in the past, where have ships of that frequency been home ported? The every other weekers are obviously Florida, alternating Eastern/Western. But Harmony, then Oasis, Vision, Adventure and Explorer in the winter...

I noticed this too! The Funchal, Madeira port schedule shows a November call for Odyssey, which I imagine is its TA. What is interesting is that the destination port is marked as Cape Liberty. Pair this with these bookings in St Maarten, it may mean Royal are planning to homeport Odyssey in NYC. However, these could just be place holders.

This confused me too! It is likely that Royal may just be securing port bookings to keep their options open. For example, Harmony has bookings in St. Maarten in Feb 2023, even though it is running 7-night Western Caribbean for the whole season, with no stops here. I will keep updating this thread, as bookings are added/removed.

I am waiting for the 2024 British Isles itineraries with fingers crossed. We booked a 12 night on Jewel for July 2021 the day it opened, 11/12/19. We had a big group going, and we were so excited by the itinerary. It had an overnight, 2 day stop in Edinburgh and stops in Glasgow, Dublin, Liverpool and more. This cruise was cancelled pretty early in the Covid shut down. Then, the itineraries for 2023 were a big disappointment, not even a day in Edinburgh or Dublin. 

 

What do you think the odds are that Edinburgh and/or Dublin will reappear as ports for the 2024 season?

These bookings are just for St Maarten. Grandeur could be deployed elsewhere, so keep an eye out.

Harmony in St. Maarten —- could that mean it will be moving back to Florida after a stay in Galveston? Would seem St. Maarten is a long way from Texas for a 7 day cruise. 
 

Interested in the Oasis class shuffle since Oasis should be due for drydock and supposedly will need to go to Europe in 2024. Don’t think the Freeport situation is any different. What may come to NJ?

I would think that with Oasis being as successful as it is in NY/NJ they would not want to decrease passenger occupancy during the summer months. If it has to go to Europe for dry dock, perhaps Harmony? I know Oasis is the only one in the class in which the funnels are meant to fold down on a regular basis. So, I am curious to see what actually happens when the bookings are available.
