when is check in?

Like literally what time? I know 45 days out, but is it 12 est at midnight? Is it random?

It is midnight local time of the port city.

I don't know if you can say "random," but it isn't always midnight.  For that matter, it isn't always 45 days. It usually is, but a number of folks have reported variations (some by a couple hours, and some by a couple of days).

i went on at midnight, right when it opened, and got 10:30am boarding no problem.

For our Symphony sailing out of Miami. I got on at 11:00 CST which was midnight in Miami. Took about  30-45 seconds in before the app would let me checkin.

I know nothing is 100.  I check a few times a day for the room, I would see check in open early. 

And I am guessing, if anything, late not early.

If you look at the app, it will tell you when check in starts.  Go to the app, click on the person picture and a screen comes up showing you want day check in starts.  I put them in my calendar, so I know when to do my check in.  I don't do it at midnight, normally about 5:30 and I always get the earliest time.

I have no issues with check in, the OP wanted to know what time it actually starts.  I wait until I get up in the morning to check in. 🙂

I booked my check in time at midnight . 

I used the app on my iphone as it was available a minute or two after midnight . 

I got the  11 am check in time.  

The app only needs your check in time . You can add the other info later.

Being on Central time and sailing out of ports that are on Eastern time, I only have to stay up until 11pm, which I typically do anyhow.

I checked in at midnight for our Oasis sailing, got the earliest slot.  However, when I got up in the morning that slot was still open, so I think I will go to bed earlier on checkin night!

Agree as you said some have reports little later,  fortunately mine(7 so far) all been within 1-3 minutes after midnite. Have another to do Wed as first of B4B so yes hoping not to have my luck change
