Anthem of the seas photo review

On Amthem of the Seas out of Southampton until 23rd September. Off to the Canaries and Madeira so thought I’d share some photos with you. Probably not a full blown review but some stuff you might be interested in. 
 

In Vigo today and so far it’s been pouring down. However just a few minutes ago the sun came out so we headed to the suite sun deck section and plonked ourselves on a couple of loungers. Only one other person here unsurprisingly. However I hope
the sun behaves for a bit and we can catch some vit D.

We were on Anthem 14th August. Did a Randox lateral flow test (£11 each click and collect from local shop), did test on Saturday morning and uploaded photo of test, certificate back in 20 mins. Took copy to check in...no problem whatsoever...piece of cake!

Took a few photos tonight inside the ship. Weather a bit blowy but reasonably smooth sailing. Couple of the sliding doors were locked due to the wind

 

Will take more in the days ahead both of the ship and ashore.

It looks surprisingly empty! 

Did they do a time change before you arrived in Vigo?

Just thinking folks are going to get confused with the different time zones, if they switch backwards and forwards.

No time change. Announcements made to stay on ship time. I think the ship is near capacity from what I’ve heard but as it’s huge I guess it can give the impression of not being busy occasionally. There are times when there are big crowds around though

Thanks for posting. We should of been on this cruise but cancelled due to family commitments 

We've never done this particular cruise before,  so disappointed we didn't make it. Maybe next year

Arrived in Lisbon a short while ago. Bit overcast but forecast for lovely sunshine this afternoon. Having breakfast in coastal kitchen and then a nice walk in to the centre. Will take photos along the way and post later

Hi garden girl. Check in was a breeze. Just do a covid home test with no supervision required and take proof of the negative test and your good to go. 
 

In Lisbon this morning and when the sun was out it was nice and warm. Had a deluge of rain hit us when in the square but we had brought our waterproof jackets so it wasn’t a problem.

There is a Beatles tribute band and also one for the Jersey Boys called East Coast Boys. Noticed there is also a group called The Dukes playing.  There’s also competitions like name that tune as well. Not seen them yet but will be going along at some stage. Lisbon is a fabulous city and one that my wife and I love coming back to.

 

Not seen anything regarding the pixels show in 270 Cyn.  If I do I’ll post. 
 

Sea day tomorrow and I’ll try and post some pics of other parts of the ship like Two 70, Music Hall etc. 

 

The main dining room attire is pretty standard casual dress. The fancy stuff comes out during the formal nights.

 

Must mention the five free drinks per D+ member. Works brilliantly well and really impressed with it. First couple of nights we didn’t use up our quota at all but now if we have any spare we get water or cans of lemonade etc. to take to the room. It’s far better in my opinion than the happy hour in the diamond lounge but again that is only my view.

The Anthem show in 270 is called Spectra's Cabaret, but similar theme across the three "regular" Q class ships. The current sailing in the app should list all the shows.

Of course my app says entertainment not available!  We have a cruise on the Anthem in about a month so I'm curious.

As mentioned, look at the current sailing, not yours.

Ok.  Ours is soon so thought it would be there.  Expect the same main shows we saw in 2019,  Spectra's Cafe, We will rock you, and The gift. Seen the first 2 a couple of times.  Only once for the gift.  Not sure what we go to.
