Says you.  Cruises appeal to a wide variety of people for a wide variety of reasons.

Cheers!

I don't understand your response. All I was saying is it is an impossibly that Celebrity would close all of their ship's casinos at 8pm.There's no logic in that since as others have stated on port days you wouldn't even have time to open if it closes at 8pm.

Please accept my apologies. When you said “not true” I thought you were responding to my comment, “a huge mistake, if true”. Meaning it wasn’t a huge mistake. What we have here is a classic case of a message being lost in translation. Again, my apologies. 😊😊

The poster was clearly replying to the "if true" portion of your post to reassure you that the "new hours" are not true.

Yes, I think I misunderstood the part of my message that the poster was responding to. I offer my sincere apologies. I usually quote any portion of a response that I’m commenting on to avoid confusion but I should have realized. image.png.75f1c7ae29a2ac9990251ef3a1201662.png

Message board confusion for sure!  Happens to all of us...  🙂

Yeah, I see the wording on the first page now as well, my guess is that is a mistake. I think they are referring to the new shoreside phone hours of Blue Chip Club, but it is very badly set out. I would be extremely surprised if they start closing onboard casinos at 8 pm, that would lose tons of revenue.

This is confusing and is hopefully incorrect:

Another example of the total and utter incompetence of Blue Chip Club management. This guy, Patrick Jacjquot, isn't capable of running a bath let alone a fleetwide casino operation and loyalty program.

Having just come off a cruise I would doubt the hours as so much also falls into the equation of when they can be open.   Notably the Casino's in most location can not be open until out of port and in International Waters.    On our Canadian cruise the Casino would not open on some nights until 10:00 PM (even slots).   While in Quebec City for an overnight all bars except 1 were closed and the casino remained closed  for 2 days.

I'm not doubting what you posted just pointing out Celebrity isn't known for it's messaging.

We are just off Solstice 9/16. We had finished breakfast and DH said let go to the casino. I said they dont open until 10am. It was 9:30am and it was open.

They often make the slots active 30-60mins prior to opening the tables as slots require less staffing

Who are we kidding, X corporate probably love him raking in the cash due to under rating table players.

It's not like you earn a lot of comps at the casino anyway. The only way to get a kickback from BCC activity is by future free cruises. And I totally agree, the lack of proper rating on table games is by design not because they can't do it.

When I look at my W/L statements for MGM casinos in Vegas my amounts are 100% accurate yet Celebrity/Fortunes Casino still has someone who plays $50/hand every cruise still listed as Onyx. Yeah right, I have a bridge to sell ya! 😂

Can someone tell me what the blue chip club is?

It's the casino reward portion, basically if you gamble enough you'll receive free play, possible end of sailing credits or a comped X cruise although unless you're a high roller, only the base fare is comped and free drinks while playing.  Still need to pay fee/taxes, tipping, the internet, drink package if you want them outside the casino, etc...Other lines are far more generous with giving gamblers extra perks.  https://www.celebritycruises.com/things-to-do-onboard/casino/blue-chip-club
