We made it to the hotel.  No slowdowns with Southwest!  After checking in we walked about a 1/4 mile to the nearest (and only) restaurant called Jimmy Changas.  It was a nice Mexican restaurant.  We got there around 2. Not to busy when we got there. 

 

It really picked up after a while. I learned something. I got to get in "Live" mode!  😂 I did not take pics of the food!  Sharon and I shared Ribeye tacos. 

When we finished it was raining pretty hard so we decided to get some dessert. After eating the dessert we decided to go.  When we walked outside we realized it was colder and drizzling.  The couple seating outside looked like they were chilled to the bone so we got a Lyft back to the hotel.

Well not only will we be following along we will be onboard with y'all!  We were on the Allure right after Thanksgiving & in 2019 so excited to be on her again tomorrow.  We just got off a B2B on the Adventure on Saturday and booked this cruise on Thursday.  We tend to book closer to time but never a few days before sailing until now.   If you haven't been to Buc-ee's it's a must do, lol.  Maybe y'all can get an uber or Lyft there or see of the hotel has a shuttle.  We have a balcony on deck 6.  Last sailing we were in 11666 and it was the perfect cabin for enjoying the Diamond Club.

When we arrived at the LR Airport we noticed long lines and the first thing that came to mind was canceled flights when we got stranded in Miami. 

Found out it was people that didn't check in  online.  My asst TA, Sharon, had us covered and we had a quick check in.  After we moved on it was weird the TA line seemed longer than the regular line. 

 

Once we land in Houston we will Lyft to League City where we will spend the night.  I hear there's a Buckkees there.  😲 Not sure if we will get to go. 

Glad to see my home airport LIT get some representation! Southwest gave me a ride to ATL this afternoon.
I do have to mention that the drive to Galveston is not bad at all. If I’m going to mess around with air travel for a cruise, I’ll choose a Florida port.

Maybe you should take a drive over to the TN mountains sometime and visit the BIGGEST Buc’ees being built so far!  (Luling TX location will be a bit bigger when built).  It’s opening soon, and I can already taste that brisket sandwich! 😁

We live about the same distance away from MEM but usually go LIT so we can spend the night at our DD's house. 

I've been hearing mixed thoughts on the drive.  Some saying construction is slowing them down. When I Google map it says 33 minutes.  The Lyft app says 1 hour.  We are going with an hour.  Better early than late..... Unless I am standing in cold.

Thanks and were excited to be back onboard!  Sorry I meant Tuesday 1/17 not Thursday but yes only 5 days in advance, 🤭.  We turned in our next cruise forms/casino offer the last night on the Adventure and decided to use on this sailing.  We used the ones from our first sailing on the B2B for the Radiance 10nt 2/27.  We loved the Adventure and it was our first time on her, the staff everywhere was amazing.

Glad to follow along. My first cruise out of Galveston in April and bringing an extended family of brand new cruisers. Will be my first cruise since right before Covid and also my first with 2-year old baby boy in tow (though I guess he technically joined us on our last cruise where we told my parents about him).

Afterward, I stopped at Guest Services (NO LINE, I was shocked!) to get change for some big bills, then I stopped at the Schooner Bar for a peach daiquiri and to say goodbye to bartender Joshua, who heads home tomorrow after finishing his contract:

 

 

I'm going to save tonight's menu and food for next Saturday.  Gotta keep y'all waiting for something! LOL

I stopped and got the letter.  As I suspected, the six-pack of soda becomes an option at the 340-point level.  Because I'm over the 525-point level, I get three amenities per 7+ day cruise, so that's why I have the 18 cans of soda (plus the one for the regular Welcome Beverage).

We both participate in a couple different long-standing threads here, and I think we saw each other in the Roll Call thread here on CC as well.

Are you still at the Schooner Bar?  If so please tell him John and Sharon says high.  He helped us out a lot while we were cruising in October.  He has working the Bow and Stern Pub.  We told him we could be boarding this week.  He was trying to get his contract extended at the time. 

BTW, We are looking forward to the Peach Daiquiris.

So we just noticed that while we were flying RC sent Sharon an email saying show up at noon.  The rest of us got nothing.  Some on the FB thread said they go one saying show up later and another saying show at original time.  😂 

Hard to believe that RC IT could screw up.

I think I chewed my finger nails all off. The defense stepped up for a injured Mahomes. Backup QB got the game ball for that 98 yard drive. Key to the AFC championship will be how well Mahomes recovers from a sprained ankle.

That was hard to watch the replay of the injury.  It appeared Mahomes did not want to leave the field when they took home to the locker room.  The backup did great. 

You know that ankle is going to try to stiffen up the next couple of days.. Let's hope rehab helps.
