What does the wording JADE stand for when I am logged in to my account on ncl.com?

I just noticed that when  I am logged on to my NCL account through ncl.com (not the app), and "click" on "My account" on the upper right side, the wording JADE shows on the top of the "box" - please see a screenshot of it below. Does anyone know what JADE stands for? I have no cruises booked for the Jade, and there is no Latitude level called "Jade" as far as I know (I currently have Diamond status). Of course this is not the most important question to find an answer to when it comes to cruising with NCL - I am just a little curious about what that could mean... ☺️

Mine says "Latitudes", but husband's says "Jade". He gambles more in casino than I do, so maybe casino status.

I believe that is exactly what it is...JADE is the first teir of the "Casino at Sea" program

That is probably it -  we have played a little in the casino on past cruises, and several years ago (maybe 5-6 years ago) were enrolled in to their "Casino program" allthough we are very low end casino players, and never "gained" anything from that "membership".

Thank you to you both for finding the explanation!!!

All good conjecture on your parts...

Mine still just reads "LATITUDES" despite being an active CAS player with a higher tier, that has 2 bookings, both through the casino.

Mine says JADE as well.   Could be completely unrelated, but I'm also not getting the shore excursion discount even when I go all the way through to check out and pay for the excursion.  Should be getting a 10% discount for Platinum.

I  had never noticed it before but it does appear to be showing your casino level.

I am currently "Pearl" and that is what is shown on my account

I believe "Jade" is the beginners level shown on a casino card at issue.

Hmmm - with all the different replies from many of you, it has become even more mysterious to me. Allthough the "casino level" may be a good explanation for a few of us (myself included), for others it seems to be a completely different explanation - sometimes logic ones and sometimes not.....

Seems like NCL IT has messed things up again… I’m sure these will change/disappear in the next few days. Or weeks.

While you could be right, kinda quick to judge since nobody seems to have cracked the code...

I did send a message to my PCC, I'm hoping for a 20% discount!

I’m basing my assumption in the fact that just a week ago NCL IT screwed up peoples payment info by mistake. People who had paid in full long time ago were seeing their cruises being suddenly not fully paid with $200-$800 to be paid. Others saw their final payment being suddenly much higher than it was previously.  There are several threads here on CC about these mistakes. And approx 1 month ago they screwed up the login to MyNCL by changing/removing peoples userid’s by mistake. There are also several threads here on CC about this mistake.

So this is just another thing they messed up.

mine is CASINO+REWARDS and I usually book through Caesars

Interesting.  Mine also says CASINO+REWARDS.  FWIW I'm Pearl level in the casino and I almost always book through CAS.

At Caesars, I'm Diamond, which is a long inexplicable story in itself as my play is nowhere near Diamond level.  I've received NCL offers via Caesars and used one once.  Last time I booked, the CAS rep said I had both NCL and Caesars generated offers in the system, so apparently they can see both.

Theory:  CASINO+REWARDS indicates a Caesars rating.  Perhaps they go with the higher of your NCL versus Caesars level?
