On our last two Celebrity Cruises the Butler has been kind enough to bring us coffee and Bailey's from Cafe al Bacio on the mornings we have asked for it. Sometimes I wait until breakfasts in Luminae but there are times when I feel like having it first thing -- of course we also have to enjoy it with those wonderful almond croissants. I could go for the coffee and Bailey's, great idea. Is the Bailey's brought separate from the coffee on the side? Rare Jim_Iain Posted April 18, 2023 Author #627 Share Posted April 18, 2023 At dinner last night a couple came over to introduce themselves. They don't participate on CC but @countess5 sent them screen shots of Iain pinching the sculpture's rear and me with the feather hat on. After chatting they said they may just have to find out what CC is all about. Really fun couple. 3

I usually just write Double Cappuccino Dry and they get it from Al Bacio.

When I get my coffee after dinner in Luminae I ask for a shot of Bailey's on the wide. I spoon half the shot in the first cup of coffee and then the remainder into my second cup!

(I don't drink cappuccino's very often) As a former barista... Double would mean 2 shots of espresso. The wet or dry refers to the milk and foam ratio. A typical cappuccino is pretty much equal parts milk and foam. A wet cappuccino would be more milk than foam (closer to a latte). A dry cappuccino would be more foam than milk. (a very dry cappuccino would be only foam on the espresso.) 8

The milk and foam are foreign entities to me when it comes to coffee, with one exception, Califia Cold Brew with Almond Milk. The only additives I put in my hot coffee contains alcohol. 1

You're welcome! We had some regulars who would say "bone dry" rather than very dry - meant the same thing.

JeanieC,Aston Posted April 18, 2023 #642 Share Posted April 18, 2023 Hi I have my Irish Coffee using Jameson after dinner,,,,with the cream poured on over the back of a spoon,,,not the squirty stuff. Takes a lot of practice keeping the cream on top of the coffee.

We all remember the outrage of the cutbacks at the dinner OVC. ilI went up at 5:30 to see how bad it was. Maybe they listened to the complaints but even though we have never had dinner there, the offerings impressed me. Definitely no waiting on lines. Grill station steak, chicken, pork and fish Turkey carvery Deserts That certainly looks like more than enough in options and quantity. It would be nice if the complaining about it stopped..... cabogal Posted April 18, 2023 #645 Share Posted April 18, 2023 Hello Jim! Thanks for the great "Live" and wonderful photos. I especially like the beautiful rooster photo in Key West - such vivid colors. Is there a way to connect Fire TV in the TV in a Sky Suite? Yes, but some people are set in their ways and have always called it a very dry (or bone dry) cappuccino. Just like people will order an "upside down caramel macchiato" which is a vanilla latte with caramel drizzle.
Rare hcat Posted April 18, 2023 #647 Share Posted April 18, 2023 Jim You did it again! Celeb owes you.! After enjoying this review, we just booked APEX for a short cruise in 2025..rt Pt Ev . It stops at KW so I will be re -reading your KW posts.. also stops at Gr Cayman but we usually stay on board there..spa day! There was a sale of sorts on the 2nd person and we chose a Sunset Veranda, deck 9. This will be our 2nd SV and first time on APEX. ( Retreat & AQ Class were quite a bit more $, and Concierge had lower prices) ****** Just a tip for others thinking abt it... on APEX ,there are regular veranda cabins on deck 8 and 9.. one on 8 has no obstruction, others 25% to 50% obs.

If anyone is in Spain try a Carajilo it’s a espresso with a dash of aSpanish brandy. You see workman down a quick one on the way to work.
