Grandma7 Posted April 24, 2023 #1 Share Posted April 24, 2023 I was wondering if the prices have gone up since I was on last summer. I did see where they are charging for an extra appetizers now. Thanks!
Rare kazu Posted April 24, 2023 #2 Share Posted April 24, 2023 Not since last summer, I don’t think. Do you have a booking ? Just check the HAL website for pricing. I believe the 18% surcharge was applicable in the summer?
Grandma7 Posted April 24, 2023 Author #3 Share Posted April 24, 2023 Yes, I am booked for November. The website just says "additional caharge". When I go to my booking it says it is to early. Can't find prices anywhere.

Which the price plus 18% tip. The prices can be seen in the Navigator app.
FlorenceItaly Posted April 24, 2023 #6 Share Posted April 24, 2023 I believe the prices I stated include the 18% service charge. I just went to my Navigator App and it states Pinnacle $39.00 plus 18% service charge. Lunch is $15.00 plus 18% service charge.
Grandma7 Posted April 25, 2023 Author #7 Share Posted April 25, 2023 Thanks! I had been looking on website. I did not see Rudy's on the app though. ??? Is it a nightly thing on Niew Statendam?
Rare richwmn Posted April 25, 2023 #8 Share Posted April 25, 2023 During his talk aboard the World Cruise a few days ago, Gus Antorcha (President of HAL) said that he chose to add up charges for several items rather than increase the base price of the specialty dinners. He also said that due to the response, that might not have been the best choice.

That is what we see today on the Westerdam. However, there are also add-ons in both restaurants. Fir example, just ordering a soup starter and salad, in the PG, will result in an extra $7 + 18%. And you will get a bill with a place to add an extra tip 👟😐
Florida_gal_50 Posted April 25, 2023 #10 Share Posted April 25, 2023 The price of Canaletto has gone up to around $30 on the Rotterdam including grats. There was a thread not to long ago about it. There is a new menu.
Rare TiogaCruiser Posted April 25, 2023 #11 Share Posted April 25, 2023 Canaletto steward told us last night the new menu will roll out on Rotterdam soon. Chicken parmigiana, jumbo shrimp and one other will become part of the everyday menu. They are the most popular. Currently price on Volendam:

Rare BetsyS. Posted April 26, 2023 #13 Share Posted April 26, 2023 TiogaCruiser - Thanks for posting the info. My stepfather and I were on the Niew Statendam last August and we loved the Canaletto. I'm glad to know the chicken parmigiana will be on the menu every night, instead of just Sunday night. I ordered a half portion for my entree, but it was still a generous amount and the perfect size for me. My stepfather wanted the veal meatballs as an entree, but it was an appetizer. The waitress brought him an entree sized portion. Food and service were great.

There was also a thread about this about a month ago. Edited April 26, 2023 by Florida_gal_50

It's as if he doesn't understand his customers at all. 🤣

Tampa Girl Posted April 26, 2023 #20 Share Posted April 26, 2023 What are the Tamarind prices?
Grandma7 Posted April 26, 2023 Author #21 Share Posted April 26, 2023 Tamarind is $29 plus 18%. It is strange though....... I noticed in fine print under Pinnacle and Caneletto that extra appetizers would cost extra(different prices for them) but did not see this under Tamarind. This was noted on the app when I was checking prices.
