I'm thinking I'll resubmit and sent to the guestadmin address.

I think the shareholders and guestadmin emails all end up in the same place. I submitted mine to shareholders@carnival.com and the response came from guestadmin@carnival.com

Submitted yesterday (Saturday) for a slew of cruises. We don’t have casino offers. They should all be approved. Hopefully, they will stack the b2bs, totaling 14 days, for the increased credits. That seems to vary on who processes the request. Inconsistent. I’ll let you know.

We just booked a casino offer and got our $100 OBC no problem. It came in less than 24 hours which surprised me because in the past i've waited weeks to get confirmation! We did pay a little to upgrade from a free balcony to the Vista Suite (corner aft wrap) but it wasn't much at all.

Not sure what offer I booked, but for a 3 day cruise to Mexico I booked a fare that gave me a $500 OBC and got my $50 shareholder OBC approved.  I sent it via email for the first time (usually send via fax as they request) and it was approved and posted in less than 24 hours. Won't send via fax again.

I tried 2X for our Venezia cruise in October and was denied. Booked casino rate so only paying taxes and fees. It’s ok, I’m good with the rate. I did get approved for our pride that we booked a non-casino rate on. I think those are pretty much the only ones getting denied.

Funny Orygun!  I grew up in Ore-ree-gun and it is funny how one hears different pronunciations around the US. I hear Or-ah-gon from all my East Coast peeps. 🤣

Update - I called today to ask a question about submitting the shareholder OBC request. Girl that answered said she'd have to transfer me as she had no idea what I was talking about (her words, not mine).

She transferred me to the "Admin Support Office (?)". Very nice girl who answered said if I had it ready, she would wait on the phone with me while the email was en route. Said she's one of the people who process the requests & told me the steps she takes when she gets a request.

So, of course I wait. Get the 2 emails she sent (auto response confirmations), then she asks me to hold for a second. When she comes back, says I should have 2 more emails from a different address, which I did. Open them up and they're the new ivoices w/confirmation the OBC was issued! 2 emails both times b/c it's B2B with 2 booking numbers.

I guess that's the best service one can ask for - thank you Carnival and thanks to everyone here who offered suggestions on how to submit.

Im not sure if this makes a difference or not or if it even goes to the same people, but I have always sent the email to two separate email addresses. I send the OBC requests to shareholders@carnival.com and guestadmin@carnival.com

Again, not sure if that makes a difference or not or if I have just been lucky about never being denied even with awesome casino offers.

Is there some kind of form we need to fill out? I have never applied for my stockholders onboard credit yet.

There is a form but I have never used it. I just attach my statement showing my Carnival shares and in the body of the email state my booking #, ship and sailing date.

What if the Brokerage account is in my husbands name and he is not going? Am I out of luck?

No clue on that one. Give it a shot. The worst thing they will say is no. You definitely won't get it of you dont try.

Correct - you will not get the OBC. Account holder name has to be on the booking. You can have your name added to the shareholder account then send it in.

  • 1 month later...

we just sent in a couple requests for some obc for casino deals but they are for balcony rate cabins on a casino rate and not the freebie rooms, two of them are great deals and one out next year not a great deal so we'll see, last year we were denied on my wife's airline retiree benefit which is usually a pretty good deal and considered to be a discounted rate ( travel industry discount ) similar to a military rate
