Just came from Izumi for lunch. Could not enter from outside deck because of wind and wet decks entered through crew hallways.

Food was good, but it was rocking and rolling up there on the aft of deck 12.

Looks delicious! Great Pictures, thanks for posting.

I saw the twenty miles per hour winds on the ship information screen and then add the ship speed if you are heading against them. Whitecaps in the background of the sea picture.

Your pictures tell the whole story very quickly.

@Jimbo We tried to get up there but as we said, deck 12 was closed and we couldn’t find a way up.  We just wanted to go up there and make reservations, but realized we could do it at any restaurant.

Had to ask a crew member in Windjammer to take us up there,we saw stairs chained off also.

theoretically eat multiple entries.

I've never done it, but have seen people that surely don't hesitate to.

Did they ever have a lobster roll for lunch before?

Not that I recall. I'll ask DW. She has a far better memory for that sort of thing. Thanks for continuing to share everything!

listening to Caribbean music on the way to Greenland.

LOL....nothing like matching the music, etc. to the destination  😆  Probably won't see any of this stuff in the MDR...  https://www.expeditions.com/expedition-stories/stories/a-world-of-flavor-7-traditional-foods-of-greenland/#:~:text=Suaasat,%2C and meat%2C often seal.

calling them lobster roll is a bit of a stretch and really an insult to a real lobster roll, we have seen them at lunch on many cruises, but they are more of a seafood roll.

There was a huge line for the MDR lunch just before 1pm stretching back to the shoreex desk. Someone came out and said no more lobster 🦞 rolls available so we didn’t bother waiting any longer!

I was in that line.  I got in at 1 or maybe 5 minutes before.  I got a lobster roll, for what it was worth.  I liked the Creamy Shrimp croissant better.

Temperatures dropping....

Hopefully the weather and temperature improve.  We were in Qaqortoq, Greenland on 9/13 last year and the weather was fairly warm (but the tiny flying insect were very bad).  The weather was fantastic the next day when we cruised Prins Christian Sund.

Supposed to be 39 degrees F in Nuuk on Wed. Google the next few days and you will see we won’t be having a warm streak. Being from the PNW, I was prepared for the temps, and packed accordingly. I was in Qatortoq in Aug of 2018, and the wind was bitter cold.

Another lazy day.  I have to admit that the rocking is starting to get to me.  The only thing i made it to was the lecture on Astronomy.  It was an interesting talk on the planets of the solar system.

I dozed off not because it was boring, but the rocking put me to sleep.  After a while, I started to get nauseous from it.

I tried to set up in the Game Preserve with my laptop but between the noise, and the nausea, I didn’t last long.  i went back to the room and passed out a little.  Wife made it to the comedy show without me.  Originally it was supposed to be the broadway show but they postponed it because of the ship movement.

I did make it to dinner.

Curried Lamb.  They’ve added an curry dish every night i think.  I’ve been happy with it.

“Strawberry shortcake”. Its in quotes because its not strawberry and its not shortcake.  It was pink colored creme cake.

Peanut caramel bar.  I missed this was vegan.  It was kinda like a rice crispy treat.  It wasn’t bad.

I’m done today.  I’ve just had no energy today.
