The person on the other end may be unreliable and non-expert.  I would expect a CVP to have the latest and greatest information.  Let's wait and see if more members post the same news.  We already have TWO confirmations above, but we don't know if they happen to have the same CVP.

Wow.  Thanks for the post.  We were getting ready to sell our CCL stock because we are both veteran's and also looking at other cruise lines.  Glad that Princess came to it senses and is not punishing couples who served their country.  Really was a bad PR move initially on Princess' part.

Just to clarify. We are both retired military and each get MOBC. We originally booked a July 2024 cruise earlier this year, well prior to the June 29 date, where my DW had both SOBC and MOBC and I had MOBC. We refared our booking in Sep 2023 and my DW subsequently lost her SOBC.

 

Is it your TA’s understanding my DW can resubmit the SHB application and get the SOBC placed back on our booking under her name? If so, that's great news!

Based on what I read on Facebook and here I submitted to get the shareholder benefit (in addition to my military benefit). It appears the person at the other end of the shareholder e-mail didn't get the memo the CVP's got (see screenshot).
 

That being said I forwarded this e-mail to my CVP so we'll see what happens

For me the first clue that made me doubt the chat’s accuracy was providing the wrong effective date of September 2022…it was on 6/29/23 so doubt if that chat rep was a reliable source.

The message I received indicated it was effective immediately.   I went on another app and pulled up Princess Cruise Vacation Planners and there are several CVPs I know personally who are also posting the same info.

I have submitted a request for one of the cruises we had not applied for Shareholder in DH name.   Will see what happens.

Received the stand wait 21 day response.

Well that did not work as they applied it to

my folio.  The request was from my email account but contained all his info.   Sorry, I tried.

Reportedly they are no longer accepting fax requests.   Everything is now email at sbpcl@princesscruises.com.  I have not attempted thru fax for the last year.

The request I sent in took a massive 24 minutes from submission until application.   Looks like the offshore call center is monitoring the email address.

I sent in a fax tonight & received confirmation it went through. No problems for me using faxzero.com which was free.

Is this another case of PCL Right Hand not knowing what the Left Hand is saying/doing?  Is it a misunderstanding or miscommunication?  It it IT's fault somehow?  LOL on that one.

 

I guess we need to wait for more word and dust to settle in order to figure out if this is real or an imagined gift.

Wowza $1,100 military credit?  I am a veteran as well and receive obc but never that amount.    Please share how you receive so much veteran credit, very curious.

Yes you can.  I’ve seen it posted on another CVP’s FB page, as well.  Both are nonrefundable but they are again combinable.

Shareholder and Military Benefits Policy Update

The policy for Shareholder and Military Onboard Credits should be the following:

•Shareholder and Military OBCs are combinable!

•The Military OBC will be non-refundable.

•The Shareholder OBC is currently and will remain non-refundable.

All other terms and conditions of usage remain the same.

Todays tip-

You can submit Shareholders Benefits Requests directly through our website.

Go to Contact us and select Pre-Cruise Support and the Carnival Corporation Shareholder. You will input your information and attach proof of ownership and your shareholders will be added in just a few business days.
