Video Credits to Giuseppe Moschella - Cruise Director when he was found Guilty!   They really gave it to him

Happy birthday, Jim!   Thanks for sharing.

Nice to see this video, and also a reminder of how the Celebrity CD is a bit unique among the bigger cruise lines.  I hope that doesn't change.  Sure they will do fun and games, and make themselves the focus of jokes.  Yet, they are bit elevated, stand ins for the passengers, etc. (and do behind the scenes work with the entertainment scheduling and such that utilizes the ship).  The observation is coupled with my reading of Google news served articles about the mid-contract resignation of a Carnival CD, Cookie.  And, the comments were insightful as some book, in part, based on the CD.  It's not an easy job.

Wishing you a very Happy Birthday Jim  🙂

And as always, thank you so much for once again bringing us all along for another fantastic live review (I'm clearly a little late to the party and it has taken some time to catch up lol).

Finally, thank you Jim, for graciously sharing part of your "life history" with your followers earlier in this thread.  Like other folks on here, I feel the need to express how incredibly impactful your story was.  It was extremely humbling and heartbreaking, yet also heartwarming and courageous!  Wishing you and Iain only the best, always!

OMG Jim, I cracked up laughing at this and as for Robert's eye rolling, after 35 years, he's got it down pat.🤣

You know that Captain Matt will be replaced by Captain Willie by the end of your cruise right?🤣

I viewed a great videi with sound..thanks for posting it!

For 23 years we have sailed on my Birthday -  I was born on Thanksgiving and always when the stars merged and Iain and our Work Financial Calendars were in Sync to get at least 15 days off.      The stars only aligned 2x a year.    Glad those days are over.

I thank God that he didn't share the ambition of his boss -  Janet Yellen.   Love her and everytime we see her on tv I say she looks younger and younger and is still going strong.

Ours was under the bed on Silhouette in October.

That was the last place I Looked on Edge.    I said thank goodness we now now.    As Gerry @Northern Aurora said in message   382.    The ship has been very transparent, but many of the guests just don't listen  or have no technology skills and also don't listen.

I am positive  that the Required Safety Movie probably would have told us but I guess as frequent cruisers (no excuse) we don't really listen to it like most on an airplane.    Reminder to self -  if you want to survive - pay attention.   One can only imagine that in a real emergency the chaos.

Happy bday Jim!  Really enjoy your posts. Figured you’re seeing a lot of ocean so sending a sunrise picture on Pikes Peak. (Reconfigured on my 15ProMax with the hint you & daKauna provided!). Melody

Thanks for the Picture... One of my Consulting Gig's in my past life was in Colorodo City.   Always loved the allure of that Peak.

Happy Birthday!

Captain Matt came aboard either in Marseille for dry dock or in Rome.  For the first few days we had two Captains aboard as they were transitioning.  The other Captain (whose name escapes me) left in Athens.

I asked our Butler.   He said he came aboard in Marseille and sailed first leg with the other Edge Captain - (he told me the name and one of the Greek Captains. but don't remember which)    The other Left in Abu Dhabi and Captain Matt is the only Captain aboard.   Not sure Which one was the Official Captain on the First Leg.

 No pistachio rolls?

Didn't see any.   They had Sticky Buns today.   Also a Croissant with a Shiny outside.

Lot's of shortages -   They don't have the Brown Raw Sugar at Al Bacio either.

Happy Birthday Jim, enjoy this special moment!

A small image from the snowless flat world of the land of snow 🤣 that we call home! But a beautiful blue sky for us today.

I use to live in Saratoga Srings, NY  about 300 Miles to the south.   When I left with -18 C (-30F) and 2.6 meters ( 100+ inches) of Snow.    I said to myself I'm gone.    I don't even visit snow unless I have to .

We have the same skies as your picture in Silicon Valley -  every day for 8 months with a 100% chance of NO RAIN or SNOW.

Capt. Matt has been the official captain since boarded in Rome.  Capt Matt is listed as the captain in the “In the Spotlight” info sheet for the October 30 cruise.

Capt. Kostis left in Piraeus which is where he lives.

Happy Birthday, Jim!

I've never managed to be on board on my birthday.  Had two B2B Iceland/Greenland cruises booked which would have included my birthday, but they were both killed by Covid.

I haven't noticed too many changes in the Luminae menu, but I'm not very attuned to that and we have been doing a lot of specialty restaurants.  The service and food in Luminae has been excellent.  I was greatly disappointed in The Lawn Club Grill.  The steak was delicious.  The rest of it was meh or absolutely horrible (lobster mac & cheese).  I certainly won't be rushing back there.

I haven't seen the full rotation yet but will try to post. ...  For Lunch they have a new Entree - Campio de Pollo

Happy Birthday to our friend Jim!  Hope you had a wonderful day!

Do you know Marcia?    Was surprised at lunch today some friends that have been on for the first 2 segments.   I asked who was Top Cruiser an they of course said -  if you had shown up you would know.      There had been no telephone message and I didn't get around to reading the stack of "Junk" on the desk as it is usually just the same ol same ol.   Around noon when I was going through the Junk Mail -  I saw a personal not from the CC Host about the time and when and where to meet to be escorted in.

They said it is a really nice woman with about 12,000 points named Marcia... We of course were really excited.   They said se was sitting a couple tables over and had just left.

I texted her and will be seeing her later.   She is in 11107 and we are 11103 two doors down.    When I went to breakfast I had a quick chat with our room attendant and looked in room behind him thinking what beautiful flowers ----- duhhh..
