This is the only bar we didn’t like so much in all of our jewel cruises.  Not sure what they were thinking of with the decor as it reminds me of an old carnival bar.

We watched the headliner show.  It was a full house.  Chris Dugdale.  I don’t want to say magician because that’s not right.  Slight of hand/card counting/mentalist i guess is the best way to describe his show.   It felt a little slow but I did like it overall.

Barbados plus Concierge Lounge doesn't leave enough time to use up your vouchers. We find ourselves stopping at a bar to get bottles of water to take on the excursion the next day.

This is true.  DW used hers for water and ginger ale.   Deluxe pkg was $65.99 at the lowest i saw it.  I did have it booked at one point just in case.  After really thinking it through I decided to cancel.  I think it’s going to end up being the right choice.

Did you have any issues with your reservation after you cancelled the drink package? It seems like we read quite a few posts about people being told they owe balances after getting cruise planner refunds.

No, no issues up to this point.  I canceled about a week in advance of sail date if I recall.  In fact, the refund to my credit card appeared much quicker than in the past.

Good Morning from (almost) Trinidad 🇹🇹 

This is the best sunrise I could get.  At least I made up for the lack luster sunrise with an Aft View 🤩

 

It’s a hazy, overcast & drizzly at the moment.  I think it should clear up though.  We should be docking in about 2 hrs.  Meet up is in the safari club for the beach excursion.

Approaching Port of Spain Trinidad 🇹🇹

Currently on the mini bus to Maracas Beach which has AC and WiFi.  Wifi is an unexpected bonus.  Roads are super windy.  Driver says about 1 hour drive.  Longer than expected 🤔

Have been following along and appreciate the great pics and thoughts. I might have missed it, but how is the overall condition of the ship and your GS? Any pros and cons, so far? Many children?
