Northern Aurora Posted February 4 #4 Share Posted February 4 While I am not a great fan of the Edge I will admit that the MC makes tendering much easier.

Rare NMTraveller Posted February 4 #7 Share Posted February 4 It is nice for tendering... When the ship is moving it is rather windy. Very entertaining to watch people try to eat in the wind.

In Grand Cayman, for example, local tenders MUST be used.
Mr. Click Posted February 5 #9 Share Posted February 5 We were on the Beyond last week. Looked the MC over and found the seats are nice and comfortable but you are outside and the space is not that big really compared to our old favorites the Sky Lounge and the Rendezvous. Cute idea but I just don't get the big whoop with it. No tender ports so I cant address that issue.

Although it's not used for dining except for Magic Carpet dinners which may or may not be held during a cruise, although you can carry in a plate from Spa Cafe, Mast Grill or OVC during the day. Primarily a bar during the day, or for tendering in tender ports.
Rare Hawkstar33 Posted February 5 #11 Share Posted February 5 Last year on Edge, it never moved. Stayed on deck 14, the pool deck. Not sure why, but no big deal. It's just another bar, with a fancy concept. 12-4 are the busy times, with limited seating. Nice to sit out there. We managed to have many a cocktail out there. lol

Mimiya11 Posted February 5 #15 Share Posted February 5 On the Apex last March, we spent a lot of time having afternoon cocktails on the Magic Carpet. Was quiet, enjoyed the view and breeze, and loved their interesting unique cocktails. On the Apex again in November on a TA, it was dead as it was way too windy to sit there. Not sure why they had it open at all.
