thesnoopster2 Posted March 6 #1 Share Posted March 6 I'm going on the Encore in the middle of girl scout cookie season. Do you think NCL would let us set up a table for a couple days and sell cookies for an hour? talk about a captive audience. Maybe outside to the casino area? 🙂

ggTexasGal Posted March 6 #5 Share Posted March 6 (edited) To backup previous posts, the answer to your question is within the NCL Guest Ticket Contract, on Page 5 (as posted below). https://www.ncl.com/sites/default/files/NCL_Guest_Ticket Contract_US_EN_02_2023.pdf (f) No Soliciting: The Guest shall not solicit other Guests, the Carrier's employees, personnel or agents during the voyage with respect to any professional, commercial, or business activity, whether for profit or otherwise, without the prior written consent of the Carrier. julig22 Posted March 6 #7 Share Posted March 6 No to onboard but if someone is driving you to the port, maybe a booth outside the terminal? Especially for those who'll be sitting inside the terminal waiting to board.

ggTexasGal Posted March 6 #9 Share Posted March 6 1 minute ago, thesnoopster2 said: Wonder if i could get permission..... Again, NO! Seriously, think about it. NCL giving YOU permission opens up the need for them to consent to others requesting likewise. They don't want the problems associated with allowing it... very much as @Turtles06 stated above.

I was looking at Girl Scout Cookies as an innocent little thing... but realistically, you are right. If they said yes to one thing, they would have to do other ventures as well.

Likely would require a "Vendors Permit" (or similar) to do so!

True, but cruise ships often do allow vendors to sell things on board (think gift shops, duty free, jewelry, etc.)

You also need permission to solicit outside of businesses as well.

Of course they would need permission, but it would be through the port, not NCL. No different than when they set up booths outside the local grocery store.
Rare WITraveler37 Posted March 6 #18 Share Posted March 6 I guess that's one way to get cookies available on the ships again. lol 2

Can we use onboard credit or Cruise Next carts to buy the cookies? If so, I’m bringing extra spare luggage for “souvenirs.”

david_sobe Posted March 6 #22 Share Posted March 6 With the alleged shortage of cookies on NCL ships, you would be welcomed with open arms. But I doubt NCL would let anyone sell anything on one of their ships. But what would happen if you could make your own cookies on board 🤔 ******smuggling the easy bake oven******
