Rare Btimmer Posted March 7 #1 Share Posted March 7 We were informed yesterday that per new Princess Company policy, no door decorations are allowed and we had to remove ours. After following up, a supervisor explained and read the policy which only permits company approved items in public areas. 3

It's a change in policy just being implemented without notice. 2

I wonder if they have gotten tired of arguing about content Like upside down pineapples, attacks on politicians etc. 7

Was not enforced, but I have heard of it in the past when people were putting Christmas decorations on the doors.

GK95 Posted March 7 #11 Share Posted March 7 Some people don’t know how to behave and end up ruining it for everyone else. 17
Rare karatemom2 Posted March 7 #12 Share Posted March 7 I’ve observed advertisements posted as door decorations on a couple of occasions. One even had a little pocket with business cards you could take. 🙄

Just more fuel if there happens to be a fire. Christmas trees in public spaces have some pretty strict regulations. Also, and I know that I'll get a lot of blow-back on this, but lights, and cheap paper decorations are possible fire hazards. I'm as disappointed as everyone else, I had battery operated lights and non-flammable magnetic door decorations for every holiday. 4 1
cattolica Posted March 7 #14 Share Posted March 7 Yay…..very happy they finally banned door decorations. It seems ridiculous that they ever allowed it. 17 4

No. It had nothing to do with the specific sign. It's virtually a total ban fleetwide.

Rare charliedalrymple Posted March 7 #17 Share Posted March 7 We never did it ourselves, but I always enjoyed the little splashes of personality while walking down the otherwise drab corridors. I particularly like holiday decorations and those announcing a special occasion (birthday, anniversary, etc.).

hunt182644 Posted March 7 #20 Share Posted March 7 Finally after many cruises we put a small magnetic placard of a hockey player on our door. Guess we will leave our sign home at the end of March.😦
