Coupon Book

We didn't get a coupon book this time...and yes, I know most think it's worthless but I always manage to us a coupon or two.  Is anyone able to share their coupon book?  In the past it wasn't actually a "book" but a few pages of printed coupons.
Thanks in advance.

We haven’t seen the coupon books since COVID. I don’t think they are doing that promotion anymore.

We've had them since covid...several times.  And just heard a few folks talking about it just yesterday.

I see it listed on our Coral in October.  I sent an email to our travel agent to ask about it.    I'd be curious how we get it.   I will let you know if and when I get a reply.

Thanks!  I hadn't seen that for the Coral.

Had it for my Canadian cruise last summer and fall. 2023  Don't have for 2024.  Mine expired Dec 2023.

I was just thinking of this.  Is it booking number related?  Will Princess have something tagged to your account?  I was upset that the two times I wanted to try out the portrait studio...both cruises, it was not open.  Did they do away with this studio?

It is a digital printout.  You need to cut off the coupon and hand it to them.  Please share if someone gets it.  Thanks

The coupon book is a promo from your Travel agent from Princess.  You receive an email from Princess about a couple weeks before your sailing with a link to print the coupon book.

On some ships you used to be able to show the downloaded coupon on your device. For the casino coupon, a ship asked for the physical coupon and said I needed to go and get it printed recently.

I have seen some recent promos from TA’s saying they have the coupon book as an amenity, but I know it has been offered for awhile. It was offered for a cruise I booked in March last year for a sailing this month 2024.

About 3 weeks prior to my early April cruise on Discovery received an email with a digital version of the coupons that I believe are something Princess provides to TAs. They also included the option to print the coupons to bring on the cruise.

That's the one that I wanted.  It is a black and white "professional" sitting with their Portrait Studio that used to be separate from the photo gallery

What is the number 12 on the Free 8X10 Photo Studio Print?

I believe this coupon has a value of $150, as that would be the cost to order a 8x10 print from your Platinum Studio sitting. The Platinum Studio specializes in Black and White photography and the lighting and posing is specialized. I believe the Platinum Studio photographer has done extra training to qualify. A signature pose is to angle the subject, but other examples are usually displayed at the photo gallery.

The Princess officer boards at one time had all the officers displayed this way/styled, but Princess seems to have progressed back to traditional color portraits for the Officers board.

I know they encourage you to order more than just the ‘free’ print. This requires booking an appointment/sitting with the Platinum Studio, then going back to review the photos at a later time when they have arranged a slide show. You then place an order for your Print, as they are not processed on board. You will receive the print mailed to you anywhere from 3-6 weeks, in most cases.

On a previous sailing, my sister did not have an internet plan, and she did not print out the coupon she wanted to use. She went to Guest Services and they provided a copy of the coupons to her, but first verified that she was eligible, so there is something tied to your booking to let them know. YMMV.

The studio is alive and well as on my last sailings on Ruby, Discovery and Enchanted this year, almost every photographer mentioned to me while I was taking my nightly pictures since I had the photo package, was I aware and or interested in a Platinum Studio sitting.

It's indicating a footnote, usually with terms, exceptions, shipping costs, etc...

Just know that not only does the photographer get special training for these sessions, they also get trained in sales.....and they are on commission. Don't think that they'll let you walk out with just the free portrait without a lengthy sales pitch about these buying multiple prints of these once in a lifetime photos for you and your loved ones.

Not much there...looks like most of the coupons are just to get you to spend more $$ on things you don't need.

I miss the coupon for a BOGO (or 1/2 off one dinner?) that was available for specialty restaurants and a BIG bottle of water, IF you dined in a specialty restaurant. We combine them with one meal time in Crown Grill.

All true, but I will say that they do excellent work.  Just expect to pay for it.  No more than you would from a professional photographer in your home area, but certainly more than you would at a photo studio in a JC Penny.  My daughter was "due" for a sitting one year (we used to have professional sittings done every 3 or so years when she was growing up) and we decided to do it on a formal night on a cruise in 2012 since she was all dressed up.  The pictures came out great.  The sitting took about as much time as you would expect, as did the return visit to look at the proofs and decide what we wanted to buy.  They are to this day some of my favorite portraits of her, even though she is much older now.

Sitting free for suite passengers are complimentary (even without a coupon).  I hope to do this on my next cruise with a coupon.  After all, one needs a really good photo for the closed casket/cremation.

The sitting fee is complimentary for ‘all’ guests in the Platinum Studio. It is not a suite benefit. Just like all the ‘background’ shots, no obligation to purchase.

The coupon is a nice perk if you want to take the time for the appointments.

I have downloaded off CC in the past and used the 20% off logo merchandise in the shops onboard. No one checked anything.
