Radio: Could you please snoop around and chat up the staff and find out about this guy who posted on cruisejunkie (and it was reproduced here on CC yesterday or the day before)::

December 31: From a passenger: I was travelling with my family for the New Year holiday on the ship, departing Miami December 29. There were 10 other family members on board the ship with me. I was playing in the casino and got into an argument with some high rollers in the casino on the departing night, Saturday (12/29). There was no physical altercation just an argument. Security broke up the argument and I was asked to leave the casino and went back to my cabin around 1:30am. The high roller threatened me and a security guard was placed outside my cabin overnight. The next day I was called by Guest Relations around 9:45pm and was told to meet Security in the back room at the front desk at 7:00 am Monday, which was the first port of call. There were several gentlemen present at the meeting (head of security, guest relations) and I was told that I have 45 minutes to pack my bags and get off the ship and that I was a security risk to the ship. I packed my bags and was escorted to the dining room. In the dining room there were immigration officials who had to approve of my disembarkation. Although I objected to being thrown off the ship and although the immigration officials also didn't approve of my being thrown off the ship, officials from the cruise line handed an envelope with $1,000 cash in it to the immigration official and I was then escorted off the ship to a small boat then transferred to Labadee (private reserve on the island of Haiti). I was put in a golf cart and driven to the end of a fenced in area to a waiting jeep. Inside the jeep were machine gun armed guards and the driver. I was driven from a locked compound in Labadee, Haiti to a run down deserted landing strip where there was a turbo propeller plane waiting for me. On the ride to the landing strip I was advised to duck down for my safety. I was scared for my life and thought I was going to die. I was then escorted onto the turbo prop and was flown from Haiti to Fort Lauderdale, taking 3 hours. I then transferred onto a commercial airliner at my cost and arrived home Monday night. FYI, Haiti is listed on the US State Departments list of countries for Americans to avoid.

Hey Mom, can you post a link to this review? Couldn't find it on these boards or the other one you mentioned. Would like to know the story, had friends on the sailing who didn't hear anything of it. (I know, big ship, lots of people, etc.) :D

Thanks.

Disney magic just pulled up and docked on Pier 1.

Hmmmmm...I believe that's an unscheduled stop. The Magic is on an Eastern itinerary this week but her first port is supposed to be St. Maarten tomorrow.

Radio, count me among the fans of your live reports; the best on the boards here. Though we'll be sailing on Liberty's sister ship Freedom in the fall, I'm enjoying all your pictures and detailed information.

Any idea how popular the golf simulator is? My husband and son really want to try it on Freedom.

Yes, cruisecal says they were supposed to be at sea today... I wonder if they had to drop someone off unexpectedly?

Radio said: I was able to enjoy the Solarium Pool for awhile today, and I will say that the deck patrol was making sure that there were no children allowed in that pool.-

RADIO - thanks for checking on that. You have truly been amazing at tracking everyone's questions and getting everyone of them answered! Way to go.

ENJOY the rest of the week!

Radio,

DW and I will be staying at the Sheraton OSJ for one night pre in a couple of weeks. I was under the impression that their WiFi was on a charge basis. I just wanted to verify your reporting that it was free?

HELLO EVERYONE! We have arrived in Saint Maarten. We docked right at 9AM.

Our position is N 18.00.671 / W 063.02.88. We have been joined by the Braemar (Fred.Olsen Cruise Line). This ship was not scheduled on the cruise Ship Schedule I normally use.

Also with us are Sea Princess, Holland America Maasdam, and Disney Magic.

The weather is very warm (81f), and very sunny. My plan for today is to rent a car, and venture over to Little Divi Bay beach. I have read many positive reviews about that beach. I may go over to Maho beach, if I have time. I must go over help out with some Front Street shopping.

Hmm. . . . There might be some Casino’s over there, if I remember. . .

The Show, “In the Air” was very good last night. It was actually, Very Good . I recommend it to anyone. I was mistaken about the Ice Show. It seems that the Ice Show, “Encore” will be tonight at 7 and 9PM.

The Crown and Anchor Meeting will be tonight as well. I have found out some info about the many C&A members on Board:

Gold- 522

Platinum- 211

Diamond- 112

Diamond Plus – 12

Youth – 37

Total 894

Wow, that is a lot of members who have come back to sail with RCI.

We should be cleared shortly to debark, and I hope there are some rental cars left !

Here are some pics from our arrival, and I will post more after I return to the ship later tonight.

Thanks for tuning in !

Hi Radio,

Great pictures...

Looks like you have had great weather so far...Saint Maarten is one of my favs.. especially divi beach...so calm and clear. We tried Maho last time and it was nice but not as nice as divi.

Question about your days at sea.....has it been warm enough to be in a bathing suit on deck...

Thanks.

Radio-

Your pictures are worth MORE than 1000 words!!! I am so much enjoying them. Your bright sunny shots out on deck give me goosebumps! :)

Hey, if you get a chance, could you sniff around and see if you pick up that sewery stench people have talked about. Also, it would be great to see a picture of that door that is all duct taped up and the sign saying the odor is not harmful, if you run acrossed it.

Hope you had a wonderful day in St. Martin. Looks like you have had "picture perfect" weather!!! ha ha. :D
