Did something happen to the board format?

At the bottom of the screen, there used be a field

you could click on to "jump to other forums"...anyone else

notice...it is not there anymore:eek: ......

Or is it me?:confused:

 

And "post reply" is above the previous post rather

than underneath it???

Post Reply still looks like its in the same place. Maybe the pages are not loading properly for you because of connections being corrupted from all the rain?:confused:

The number of threads shown on each page of a forum is down too. Hopefully someone will post a sticky explaining the reason for the changes.

I wonder if the maintenance yesterday somehow reset the default posts per page to a lower number. To check, go to User CP/Edit Options/Thread Display Options/Number of Posts to show per page. You can set this figure to 5, 10, 20, 30 or 40 posts per page. Hope this helps.

Hi everyone ~ I believe there is still some maintenance issues being worked on although I'm not sure what they are nor what they affect. I never use the JUMP TO box so I'm sorry to say I didn't miss it. On my screen I have a REPLY bottom above and below the posts that appear (always have).

 

I'm going to send a note into our community manager to check things out. The quickest way to get an answer when something happens is to send a message to community@cruisecritic.com or send an email to Host Walt or myself. With all the boards, threads, etc that we moderate, it's much quicker if you email when you see a problem....that way we can try to address is more quickly.

The Board looks OK now (getting more than 5 on a page). But I did notice that the Edit for your own post is missing - it seems to come and go different times. I miss-spelled on an earlier post and couldn't edit it.

I'm glad to see it back - makes navigating the Forums much easier.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page; on the right there is a box titled "jump forum" & from the drop down list you can quickly jump to any other forum, or pick the current forum without using the back button to return.

But not nearly as easy as a bookmark in your browser. And the webmaster at Cruise Critic can't take a bookmark away from you...
