Casino Royal "players club"

Thank you PompeySailer. We have yet to be invited to the party, however we were comped our upcoming Oasis sailing through MyVegas. The T&Cs of the reward state DH will get free drinks in the casino and the Casino Royale rep I booked with said he would get a sticker on his card from the casino host. Are there limits to what can be ordered? The terms say no premium drinks. I am assuming he will be getting the standard sticker, unless they have a special one for MyVegas players.

"While playing in the casino, Cruise Certificate recipients will be provided with complimentary drinks (excludes Premium brands). This does not include other bars, lounges and areas of the vessels."

I can only speak from our experience, we have never had an issue with having any drink we wanted, never been questioned.

We did see some gamblers getting tickets, theses are not to be confused with the sticker.

A new program was supposed to have rolled out March 15th 2016, it never materiiazed

I am sure CR are trying many different things before final rollout, so comping more people and trying new things.

I would say order whatever drink you fancy, tip the server well and they will look after you all week :D

Thanks! I can't wait until April 9th :)

Have a great cruise.

Remember to find host 1st evening, introduce yourselves to the Casino Manager, get the sticker.

Always present your sea pass card when joining a table, that way they will track your play if you wish them too.

Make sure your card is always inserted when playing slots.

And finally.

Don't forget to cash out your Mickey Mouse points on your card before 11pm on last night.

1000pts $10.00 freeplay

2000pts $20.00 freeplay

Happy sailing and good luck

Happy Days!

I booked our (5/29/16 Allure) Royal Suite through Casino Royale several weeks ago. Managed a nice discount... the more you spend, the more you save (something my wife is always telling me)! ;)

I was reading some old reviews and saw mention of a VIP/High Limit section of the casino which was added in dry dock, though details were sketchy (I did find a couple of pictures and description of the tables in there) - but I'm not sure that it sees much action. Something about table ranges from $100-$2000. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I seem to recall $100 tables on the Allure and Oasis being available previously - though only saw them in action a couple of times. I'm not pushing up to near a $2,000 max, getting enough "thrill" when I put a few blacks out there, so I often play at a $25 or $50 minimum table.

Has anyone here actually seen that room in use? What's the advantage? Less crowded... better drink service... etc ??

What about smoke - I don't assume it's non-smoking (as much as I would like that, and something I REALLY like about Celebrity), but is it at least not a hot box in there ... aka, decent ventilation?

I called Casino Royale yesterday and inquired about the room. The fellow on the phone did not even know that it existed. I asked if he was in the casino department, or just a regular reservations guy. He said he was "with" Casino Royale, but he was clueless. After he put me on hold to get some info on that room, he came back and said something like "yeah, just ask once you're there, and if they have enough interest, they'll open the room up".

He looked up my reservation, said something about VIP (and that I'd enjoy no transaction fee on chip purchases), but beyond that he was basically clueless. I asked him about the "new program" that was coming. He said they are still getting it rolled out. I asked when it would be implemented, he then said "it was" (referring to end of rebates), but had very few details.

I suppose having the booking through them with the VIP status is all well and good, but the comped drinks are of no use, as I'm getting that with the "Star Class" cabin I'll be sailing in anyway. If I'm lucky, the $0 transaction fee will not come into play... and I'll hit the ground running with the cash I bring along, never having to use my ship card!!

New club rules were sketchy last month. Casino folks didn't seem to know all the rules when questioned. They did seem to be inviting lots of people to "join the club" -- many more than in the past. Free cruise that was given out (4,500 points earned) had to be taken by May 1 of this year. Not good for working folks who may have limited vacation days and were sailing in February/March.

Tom,

Yes VIP area was in use 2 weeks ago Allure, Baccarat, Blackjack, Roulette and one other table, cannot remember the 4th

Limits what I witnessed were set at $300min-$2000max for Baccarat.

If they get the customers they will open up

Guy on blackjack was betting $500 min

We also snagged an RS on Jewel and an OS on Allure using Casino rate, your wife is correct:)

And the free drinks in Suite Lounge cover you on the higher decks

The sticker VIP drinks cover you on the lower decks:D

Have a lucky enjoyable cruise, enjoy that RLS, the RS,s on Allure are smaller.

Add: Tom, with sticker on card you will not pay any fee on any cash transactions at cage or at tables.

Happy Days!

I was informed the other week from 2 casino hosts, that a free cruise would be awarded for 7000 pts

So it already seems to differ depending on what ship and who you speak to:)

Business as usual for CR ;)

We sailed before 15th, had a future cruise booked before 15th, and yesterday we got our play from Allure applied to the balance on our already reduced casino rate for Liberty:D

Happy Campers!

So, the (posted) table minimum you saw at the VIP BJ table was $500, or is that just what the guy was playing? I can swing a $100 minimum table, but nothing higher. That would (potentially) blow my bankroll WAY too fast!

Since we'll have the "Unlimited Beverage Package" included with our cabin category, we'll be covered everywhere I'd assume. I'll need to do some research as to the particulars of that package (cost/drink and if there's discounts extended on bottles of wine).

Yep, it's the RS we're in on the Allure - but they're renaming it to a "Grand Loft Suite" the sailing after ours for some reason. We won't get to enjoy the RLS until next year on the Oasis... should be a blast, and I KNOW those 7 days will fly by !

Thanks,

Tom

Yes

$50 min per hand on blackjack X time, a formula only the pit bosses truly now, just make sure they swipe your card when you drop your 1st bankroll, every time you start a new table repeat this.

$25 min per spin on roulette X Time X number of spins

Again swipe card so they can see your invested bankroll

Good luck

Also if you check with just each evening, they can tell you your win/loss and average bet.

Best to check regularly and complete before leaving the ship.

I did not see the minimum posted bet in VIP area on Blackjack, the guy was just playing with Purples and Oranges.

Now if you asked for $100min and had a decent sized bankroll, would not hurt to ask one of the hosts to open up a table if you wanted to play 3rd base on your own.

There are 3 Hosts on Allure, Kaia, Alina and Bogdan, we interacted with Kaia most of the time, very helpful and personable.

Let me know if you need any more info over in the casino forums.

Enjoy the RS and RLS in the future with drink package, SL drinks and CR sticker you certainly will not go thirsty :D

Deck 17 is perfect, we spent a lot of time in SL and CK

Harley and Christopher will look after you very well in the SL

Michelle in CK

And at the casino bar Ramon

Really great staff that provided us excellent service

The high rollers area is not a separate room, but the area where the electronic poker machines used to live. In the beginning, there were 3 of those machines but at some point, they removed 1 entirely (leaving 2) and moved them to an adjacent area and now the old poker machine area is the high roller area. I never saw a single person playing nor was there ever a dealer at any of those tables the entire week I was on the Allure in Feb. Being a poker player, I would much rather have seen them get rid of the machines completely and put in a couple of dealer poker tables. I guess they forgot to ask me before they did what they did.

Ah... initially, when looking at the images of that area on the Oasis (HERE), I was thinking of it as a separate room. But that does indeed look more like a section/area, rather than a room. Can I assume it looks similar on the Allure?

Thanks,

Tom

Granted it is not a sealed off separate room, however it has low traffic so is pretty secluded from the main areas of the casino.

I was in it last week and it was used quite a bit:D and less hustle and bustle!

There will be times it is used and sailings where there are no high rollers, I agree it could be utilized better for the when no whales are feeding ;)

From CR perspective, they only need a few high rollers dropping 6 figures to make keeping that area viable:)

Happy Days!

Tom, I'll see if I have any photos from last week, just need to grab DD's laptop

I have a couple of questions for you knowledgable CR VIP's. I'm in Oz and recently spent 14 days on Legend. I was invited to join the club, signed up, and had the sticker put on my card for free drinks. On the last night I was given a free cruise certificate which needed to be used by end of April. Fortunately had some holiday time left so we have booked Legend again, leaving next week.

Ok, my questions are.....should I have received any correspondence from CR? Is the free drink sticker available to me on my cruise? I've read in the casino forum that you can earn rebates, can anyone tell me how that works?

I realise that they are changing the system but happy to know what is currently the norm.

Thanks, Diane

I'm not sure, but I think that since the cruise was a freebie through CR, that you're likely looking at comped drinks on this sailing. Seems like it to me, but you never know what they'll come up with !

However

Found these posted already credit to cruise critic

There are 3 images showing the 4 tables, look for the pics with the big oval light on the ceiling.

Howdy all,

I was wondering on the (STAR SPANGLED) Anthem of the SEA's who the Managers/Hosts are now and will they be on board when we cruise too ( A.D. 04/18-04/30/2016) now acoming?

I did call the, WATTS, Club Royale Line 888-6561-2234.. A nice woman who actually knew a lot said" they do not really update very often that" . So I wanted to ask at a much , IMHO, better sourcing.

  • 1 month later...

I am also wondering how this new program works. Having been a loyal Carnival cruiser for the past 12 years, my wife and I were comped a Royal Caribbean cruise last month based on our casino play on Carnival from an independent travel agent. Not sure how... But we were given a 7 day balcony cabin so we decided to give it a shot. On that cruise we were also given a certificate for a free cruise by the casino host on the last night. Supposed to be booked within 30 days and sail before 9/1. 31 cruises on the certificate to choose from. All were 5 day sailings or less and was valid for an inside cabin. Also may be redeemed for $500 for any cruise not listed on the certificate as long at it was before 9/1.

None of those dates worked for us so we decided to call the number listed on the certificate and see what they can do. They said don't worry about booking within the 30 days and that I may also choose any cruise up until 1/1/17 to redeem the $500 towards. We were also told to check in with the casino host to have a VIP sticker placed on our cards. We just booked and instead of the $500 discount the certificate entitled us to, they gave us a total casino discount of $2142 toward an Allure sailing not listed on the certificate. There were two discount codes listed in our email confirmation. One being "Casino Royale" for $906 and the other "Casino Slots" for $1236.

Anybody else have similar experiences?
