2015 Drinks and Cocktail list & Prices

Recommended Posts

I did however have my tablet with me and referred to it a few times to order some of the more elaborate frozen drinks and such from the pool bar. One time they were out of the pomegranate mix but they did make the others ones such as : UK Elderfire, Frozen Mai-Tai, Wildberry Lava flow.

I think that's what I'll do. I have a few favorites and I'll just keep them in mind and request them and see what happens. ;)

Thanks for the info!

This is so confusing with everything changing. So I just looked online for my June Oasis cruise and it is quoting me $57.82/D for the Premium package. Since people are saying the price sometimes does and doesn't include the 18% is that price with or without the 18%? Also, now that the prices of the drinks are going up what is my cap on how much my drinks can cost with this package? I sure wish RCCL would lay all this out there on their web site before you purchase a drink package with them. :(

You can drink beer, wine and cocktails up to $12 per drink with no limits, anything above that per drink you will be charged the difference. There is no "cap" other than however expensive the most expensive drink is.

And it is all on the website.....

There's been more that a few posts as of late about the lack of Drinks menus & prices aboard RCI ships. So here is a list I found. I cannot vouch for the price accuracy but it should be pretty close. It is long so sorry for the long post. Best bet is that someone could copy & paste the drinks they possibly would want to try on their upcoming cruise and print off that sheet and bring it with them I suppose.

The problem with this list is that it lists a Bloody Mary with Absolut Vodka as $8.50 and I have a receipt from the Schooner Bar 3/22/2015 for the same drink at $11 plus 18 % gratuity.

I do not think this list is accurate!

List is not accurate. I think every ship has leeway with pricing anyway so there is no definitive website and also think there was a recent major price increase that the website doesn't reflect.

Jewel last month the menus only listed $12 and $10 cocktails. There might have been "off menu" cheaper options but most cocktails on the menu were $12 with a small selection of $10 options.

How ridiculous, they give you a drink price limit but don't tell you the prices?? There's going to be so much confusion!

It may make more sense if you consider that Royal may be shifting to an "all-inclusive" model. Everything on the menus and most drinks will be "included" if you buy a package. No need to list prices on a menu of items that are all "included". Just like the menu at the Main Dining Room - no prices on included items.

The price limit is for "super-premium" alcohol, which won't be found on a typical menu. Things like 25 year old scotch. If you order something like that, they'll tell you it isn't fully covered and quote you the price. As someone who drinks stuff like that, the additional cost is not very relevant (within reason).

I think the recent price change, while significant, actually makes evaluating the packages less confusing. Using the outdated price list that started this thread, you had to do some serious calculus to figure out if the drink package was a good idea. With $10+ cocktails and $49 per day for the Premium package, the math is pretty simple. If you drink 5 or more a day, package = good. Otherwise, not.

It's not, neither in price nor in the drinks listed. I would have loved to have tried some of the cocktails on that list, especially at those prices, but the Rhapsody cruise ex-Sydney that I went on had a very small (15 cocktails) main cocktail list available at all bars, plus the R bar had an additional list with another 8 cocktails listed on it. They were all priced at $14.

Does the Premium or Ultimate cover the after dinner coffee drinks with Kahlua and/or Bailey's?

If those drinks are plain coffee with a shot of liquor, then you can get the shot with the Premium package and add it to your free coffee.

  • 2 weeks later...
Been looking for these prices,,,, thanks!!

I think the consensus might be it's a more useful list to know drink names to order and what goes into making them but the prices aren't the "new" ones on some of the ships.............

Yes, note to all that those are NOT the current prices. Anyone who has returned from a cruise since mid-February or so can attest to this.

While representative of drinks you could still order, that list is not even remotely illustrative of the current menus available onboard, which are now extremely short, limited, and laughably dull. Gone are the great drink menu booklets full of pictures and page after page of exotic looking and sounding drinks that tempt you to try new and different things while on vacation that you might never order (or hear of) back home. The current menu is a little black and white (gray and white, actually) half-page card with about a dozen cocktails listed.

The new menu really is comically boring... until you see the prices. Then it's no laughing matter.

THIS IS A DUPLICATE POSTING FROM ANOTHER THREAD.... but I thought it might be better suited on this thread.

For anyone interested, I've attached a list of drinks (without prices) based on the menus from 2013 and 2014. I've categorized them by the drink type (as they appeared on the old menus).

I reached out to Royal recently regarding the changed menus and asked specifically whether or not the same favorite cocktails would be available even if not listed on a bar menu on the ship. Their response was a list of alcohol that will be available. I inquired again about the cocktails that are now missing from most ship menus. I was told that all "favorite" cocktails can be made as long as the alcohol is listed on the matrix they provided. I've attached the matrix for everyone's reference as well.

Of course, I can't guarantee all of these will be available, but it is a more concise list that could be printed off for reference if anyone wants it.

The YELLOW items appeared on 2013 menus. The BLUE items appeared on 2014 menus. The GREEN items appeared on 2013 and 2014 menus. Items that aren't colored were listed on other drink lists that have appeared on various blogs and websites, but I didn't actually see them on menus myself.

Perceived value: The worth that a product or service has in the mind of the consumer. The consumer's perceived value. Thats what they are doing. shifting your train of thought. It was still cheaper for you to buy by the drink then to buy a package, especially on port intensive Ships. So just raise the drink prices and their you go WOW now that drink package seams like a really good deal.

And no not being negative just plain old marketing tricks.

I'd agree.

We get the D+ drinks, and Casino free drinks from the Casino Club, so our other purchases were maybe a couple at dinner. We'll never buy a pkge..

Raising the individual drink price gets people thinking that the pkge is worth it with fewer drinks, so you buy the pkge..:D

I brought the list of drinks with me on AOS but most of the bartenders don't recognize the drink names. Have had to stick with these in the Pool Bar unless I'm in a specialty bar. ImageUploadedByForums1431027682.442519.jpg.7e370ca681fbae4f98c239776815a435.jpg
