  1. First time - months ago, it was a learning experience. I think it is great and works well. Next time I may put a picture of a cat and see if they notice.
  2. Expert? Arnold Donald came from Boeing. When was the 737 Max program announced? 2011. I Bonds are paying 9.62%. 12.7% to refinance and push debt out would be cheap. No comment on your obsession with lipstick. 3rd quarter is looking even bester.
  3. The latest 10-Q doesn't include the summer season. Check back in the fall.
  4. I went with someone who received interline rates and it was cheap. The flights were, too. It was sort of casual, but they did strongly discourage me from entering the dining room in jeans. Back in the day, we made the current Cheers cruisers look like lightweights. Drunks know no class boundaries.
  5. I looked at two test results and no reason for the test was obvious
  6. I've always told the providers I need the test for travel. I've never look at the results beyond seeing that I was negative. I'll try to find one to check.
  7. It was probably refunded to your shipboard account.
  8. It could happen. But as Arnold Donald is still at the helm, perhaps not. Lame Duck, doncha know. While the SEC can't send anyone to jail, they can work with the DOJ if fraudulent statements are filed. It simply isn't worth it.
  9. Egos with too much money looking for Camelot and to avoid riff raff. Then the existing cruisers on those lines need to step up their game to avoid the newcomers.
  10. My bad. I got my bean counters mixed up.
  11. A 10-Q is required quarterly. Not exactly the same as 10-K, oh well. https://www.carnivalcorp.com/static-files/97d4e1f7-cee5-4668-bf73-28940ff14e83 A schedule of debt repayment is in the document, with most debt not being due until after 2026 and I expect Carnival to keep refinancing future debt to keep it manageable.
  12. and now we are in the busy summer season with higher occupancy rates, higher prices, and more ships sailing. The bean counter signing off on most (all?) of the financial information is replacing Arnold Donald when he steps down, so he should have a good idea of what is going on.
  13. https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/carnival-corporation--plc-provides-second-quarter-2022-business-update-301574609.html CARNIVAL CORPORATION & PLC PROVIDES SECOND QUARTER 2022 BUSINESS UPDATE
  14. It is recommended to unload a gun before starting to clean it, but it is not required.
  15. No, it doesn't. You highlighted a number for 6 months, not for the 2nd quarter.
  16. Depends on the cabin. Some cabins on Sunshine didn't have nightstands and the lamps are on a rail behind the bed. Some do have nightstands with lamps and I imagine are plugged in under the bed.
  17. I suspected, but don't know that security at the port would know that. I might come up with a different name/description. Or at least be prepared to answer if they ask or try to confiscate. You might contact the special needs department and ask them for advice.
  18. Yet occupancy rates on cruises are way up even with testing. 69% during the 2nd quarter of 2022. Summer is the busiest season. For now. At some point pre-cruise testing may disappear. Maybe masking will return. Who knows?
  19. Second Quarter 2022 Results and Statistical Information • Revenue increased by nearly 50% in the second quarter of 2022 compared to first quarter 2022, reflecting continued sequential improvement. For the cruise segments, revenue per PCD for the second quarter of 2022 decreased slightly compared to a strong 2019. • Onboard and other revenue per PCD for the second quarter of 2022 increased significantly compared to a strong 2019. • Occupancy in the second quarter of 2022 was 69%, an increase from 54% in the prior quarter. • Available lower berth days (“ALBD”) for the second quarter of 2022 were 16.7 million, which represents 74% of total fleet capacity, increasing from 60% in the first quarter of 2022. • Adjusted EBITDA for the second quarter of 2022 was $(0.9) billion, an improvement over the first quarter of 2022. • Total customer deposits increased $1.4 billion to $5.1 billion as of May 31, 2022 from $3.7 billion as of February 28, 2022. • Cash from operations turned positive in April and was positive for the second quarter of 2022.
  20. I'm not sure it would even be allowed. https://www.carnival.com/help?topicid=1202 Electrical and household appliances containing any kind of heating element, such as irons, clothes steamers, immersion heaters, heating blankets, water heaters, coffee machines, hot plates, toasters, heating pads, humidifier, etc. (All Carnival ships provide facilities with ironing boards and irons; fleet-wide valet laundry service is also available for a nominal fee.)
  21. I still see the "temporary" generators on deck. I seem to recall they are one of the items removed from Carnival ships before they head to the scrap yard.
  22. You used to only have 30 days to transfer bookings. Maybe that is still the rule. If you cancel, Carnival, as well as the TA, might assess penalties.
  23. It is more honest and helpful than those who pretend only Carnival is in trouble. Carnival still has more cash on hand than the others.
