  1. Found a good photo of where the Cabana's are related to the Magic Carpet on Edge really block any view from the Cabana's
  2. I would agree. To purchase the same liter bottle of Premium Booze on the drink package is $120. I think the picture was the full size Cabana. I saw someone (TA have a party for his guests and had about 10-12 in a full size one. Some were standing and it was tight. From another post this is the full size one (I believe it to be an artist's concept) and this is the 1/2
  3. Agree with you. Not sure why your Butler would have given you a pooh face. Mine has always thanked me for being so generous. I usually fill out an attention to detail form and list all those that have given exemplary service. I usually get a letter back from the Hotel Director thanking me and later the people I mentioned told me they were called up at staff meeting and given a shipboard credit for the ships store for the compliment. They often say it is more important to them in their career growth than a good tip.
  4. LOL... sometime we just have to say .... it is what it is and move on. At least your Phone App works for you. I had never tried it on Ian's iPad until you asked. I wasn't expecting to work and was surprised when it did.
  5. They have a rotation of 14 menus. Each cruise stars with day 1 and moves along. Once in awhile they shift around for Chic nights. If on a 10 day cruise you will see the first 10 etc. If you are on a B2B of 2 7 day cruises you will see the same 7 menus repeated. Some of the 14 rotation are very similar.
  6. Sorry to hear. Our number was up at the end of our 4th cruise. I really believe this omicron variant is going to get everyone with just the first 4 shots. We just got the new Bivalent flu shot and hoping it will protect us on our December cruise. News from friends in Australia are warning strongly to get the Flu shot also as the outbreak of Flu this season (just ending) has been much heavier than the past 4.
  7. Now that does sound like a problem. On both my phone and iPad there is an X on the corner of the deckplans and they work. When having a major problem with the app on a cruise the IT Manager came to the Retreat and did the following. Had me log out off the app, Hard Close the app, Reboot my Phone. Open the App and select a different cruise then go back and select my current cruise. It fixed most of the problems. They next had me uninstall and reinstall - which fixed my final problem.
  8. My understanding from speaking to an HR Manager who applies the tips said that if you leave a tip to a position - e.g. Butler it goes to the Pool. If you put the person's name and position down then the tip goes to the individual. When doing it by name I have actually gotten a number of thank you's from a number of the individuals. Also the Maitre 'd told me that if I leave a tip using my SeaPass the tip goes to the entire dining room staff pool but if I leave cash it goes to the Murano pool only.
  9. I'm going to have to try the Gelato - didn't know but to be honest I've never even order the free ones with cc menu. I always mean to but never gotten around to it.
  10. No. Does not include the Chef's Table or Chef B's Dinner or Veuve Cliquot. You can dine in Murano the same evening but would have the regular menu. Sushi on Five is included with the RS no limits even though al la carte. I honestly don't know about the upcharges for the special cuts of Beef in tuscan and the Steak place on Edge Class. Generally the only bill we get is the Wine if we purchase wine by the bottle.
  11. LOL.... I have to say Celebrity isn't consistent. We had one room on that cruise that the Room Remote had a Source Button on it but the one in the bedroom didn't. I have occasionally had the Samsung work without the CC command but like I said on Summit on our last cruise in a CS it would screw up the TV every time I tried so gave up on in and use the CC - Menu xxx routine.
  12. Yikes... maybe I should read my mail. I just usually just toss all of what I thought was junk mail in the garbage before I come into the house.
  13. Curious - on the deckplans can you see the x on the upper left corner? If so are you saying nothing happens when you tap it? I use to get stuck on some screens that had a white X or Arrow on a white or light background. I finally just learned to click that area and it usually closes the screen even if I cant see it. (poor web design)
  14. While I don’t have a picture Of the Magic Carpet this if from edge. The feet you see in right are people sitting in the public seating area. Around the nex rib is the entrance to Magic Carpet that was open as a bar. I don’t think much of ocean view.
  15. It's interesting that they often refer to the Retreat on Reflection when I just looked at the floor plan for Reflection the "Retreat" is still called Michael's Cub.

  17. Thanks Den - just want to add if you choose to use your Transit Pass you will need to check in at a special deck to get your new Sea Pass. One other item. Many ports (non-Florda) the staff at the terminal have no idea what a Transit Pass is or for that matter a sea pass. We had a bit of difficulty re-boarding Summit in Boston. They kept trying to process us and telling us we have to go to a counter. The final lady when I told her we are already processed said OK if you think you can get aboard with that go ahead. She was trying to get us to show our board pass, answer the health questions etc. In Southampton we were on a B2B excursion an when we arrived back as a group the guard at the door gave us a lot of grief and then when we got to the B2B counter she checked each of us in from scratch - including credit cards, Covid VAx, pictures took hear about 10 minutes apiece.
  18. Iain has a rather old iPad - my guess is 4 years old. I went to update the Celebrity app and it said I needed at least ios 15 he was at 14.5. I updated the IOS I believe it is 15.5 and then updated Celebrity App. I opened Celebrity and played around. It performed perfectly. I was able to open up deck plans and close them, look at my shore excursion, view menus and switch between cruises with not a single problem. Possibly update the Celebrity App and IOS if required and do a HARD REBOOT
  19. You will get a B2B invite to a meeting an/or a written set of instructions. If in the same room you don't have much to do. You have two options - You can either use the enclosed Transit Pass and can leave the ship anytime prior to Final Call and tour for the day but can't come back until general boarding beings or stay aboard for processing. If staying abord they ask that you meet in a B2B area around 8:30 (often the sky lounge). After the ship is zeroed out you will either be processed by immigration and checkin or go ashore for processing. B2B processing is generally complete by about 10:00 and you have full reign of the ship until 11:30. While I have never attended I have been invited to the CC luncheon in MDR which is also open to B2B and Zenith's. Not sure if that is the case on all cruises.
  20. Our stateroom attendant was proactive and told us he changed the sheets the night before turn around day and had put new towels in the closet to stage them for the next day.
  21. Been on 7 cruises since resumption of sailing and have 2 more this year booked. I will preface with all have been in AQ and Suites. Have things changed yes. Has the sparkle dulled -- well maybe a little. Have things changed at restaurants and Hotels a big yes and sparkle has really dropped. My last hotel visit for 2 days pre-cruise - they no longer make up your rooms over night that a big luster buster to me. Celebrity is still servicing your room 2x a day. Personally I would say the staff are sparkling at 110% - Food Selection in Luminae and Blue 100% - Bar service in Retreat 110% Bar service in public bars 80%. Food selection in OVC 75%.
  22. LOL -- a woman of my own heart. A small piece of good news is they have upgraded many of their Amuse Bouche. Some of them are now pretty good. Some are the same tiered old things - e.g. the Cream Cheese Pillows. I'd hate to sleep on those pillows
  23. The other side of the coin is that Eclipse to Hawaii dropped testing and had a huge outbreak (over 3%) and required masks for all while inside the ship. I agree that Vaccination (pre new shot) may be ineffective at prevention but believe that filtering out those that are positive before joining the ship have to reduce a certain number of infections. Having said that if Airlines, Buses etc do not require testing passengers even if tested 2 days prior to cruise could still be infected and bring aboard. I honestly feel they will drop all testing but I wouldn't hold my breath that they will do it before the returning TA's.
  24. I suspect (but without any justification or knowledge) is that they may for the transition time just stamp cards with AquaClass Suite vs Sky Suite. Reality it is just a marketing shell game to increase revenue and you have the same room you purchased.
