  1. You can also go to the Celebrity home page and click on Sign Up in the upper right corner. It will give you the opportunity to create a login for your DH. Once you do that, he can sign in. (It may leave you at the main page, I don't remember...if so, click on his initials in the upper right corner then Manage Reservation.) There he should see a 'panel' that says Captains Club and underneath it a blue (if I remember correctly) box that says Enroll Now. Click on it and then he will have a Captain's number assigned. If your reservation doesn't show up there after creating his login, scroll down a little bit and find "Don't See Your Cruise?" and you can link it there using your reservation number. For some emails, again click on the circle with his initials in the upper right corner. Then click on "Profile"...then is a box "Offers and Communications"...click on that and select the Celebrity box. As to your carry-on, put your must have necessities in it first. Makeup/toiletries, medical supplies/meds, and the like. Anything you may think you need/want upon entering your cabin before your main luggage arrives. Perhaps even a change of clothes if they will fit. Hope I remembered things correctly! Bon Voyage!! ETA: Don't really know how long it will take for luggage to arrive...likely somewhat dependent on how full the ship is...and perhaps what class of cabin you are in...
  2. THANK YOU! One of the agents mentioned about the NRD flag staying set regardless of it being refundable and that it stays that way for the duration of the reservation. He also said that so far there was no remark in the Remarks field and that he would look into that...but the transfer failed as I mentioned. So you have given me my goal. Get a remark put in to the appropriate field on the reservation(s) and an email confirming that! Again, thanks... ETA: As I mentioned the rates on the reservations hadn't changed...the prices were the same and the agent(s) and I noticed that and therefore they said it had to be a mistake.
  3. Imagine my surprise. I had called in on two reservations to get the extra $50 OBC recently advertised. And, as usual, had the agent send me an updated customer invoice. Whilst I noticed that the $50 had been added to each reservation, I did *not* notice the addition of: "The minimum deposit for this reservation is Non-Refundable. A change fee of 100 USD per guest will apply for ship or sail date changes." I noticed it yesterday... Note that none of the amounts changed, totals were the same as in the previous invoice I had received. So, I called in and the rep told me they still saw the reservations as refundable. They said there must be a mistake and then put me on hold to 'reach out' to another team. 30 minutes later, I disconnected. Called again. Went thru the same process, rep said they were refundable...asked to put me on hold while they checked it out...I said that didn't work earlier...she apologized...kept checking back with me until she said she had a specialist on the line and would transfer me to them. Nope, right back on the queue. So, has anyone else checked and seen such a thing on their customer invoice?? I know a lot of folks here called in for that extra $50. I'll go for a third try tomorrow but wondered if anyone else had a similar experience... Any advice/observations appreciated...
  4. Please don't get me wrong! I didn't intend it to be a comment on your posts or I would have quoted it...I think it was great that you posted what you did in a clear, concise manner. It is bound to be helpful to others. I was merely making a general comment and in retrospect, I likely picked the wrong time and place to so it. I can already see Rich reminding me that I am fulfilling my job lecturing...😆
  5. On these boards, I swear I have seen every variation of where tips end up, of who gets them and who doesn't, of which pool they go in or don't go in, of which form you should or shouldn't fill out and how you should do so or not do so, on and on and on. Not to mention what tip is particular to what position in whatever venue. Or what ship in what country. So, I'll just continue to do what I always do...prepay grats, and hand my tip directly to the person(s) I want to...I tell them how happy I am with the service provided and mention them in the survey. No stress whatsoever...
  6. While I understand the many viewpoints of the surveys expressed here, I, as in all things, just answer honestly. I don't, and don't intend to, try to second-guess the underlying strategy of them. I write down the names of those who made my cruise more enjoyable...and put them in my remarks...as well as tip them individually. (Yes, I still prepay grats and if they put my tip into the general pool, that's fine by me as it's theirs to do with as they please once it leaves my hand...)
  7. Oh, we'd find something...but we still have the old chestnuts to burn over the fire 😃
  8. And you are absolutely right! I just went back and checked...gosh, math is hard...lol...
  9. Thank you for this recommendation! Looks like they start dining at 4pm now...I may have to change my current plans...
  10. It's on the app. When you check in, you will pick a time for arrival. Don't know about the parking...
  11. Simple? Whoa, whoa, whoa! This is Cruise Critic, don't 'cha know?? 🤪
  12. My goodness, don't even *think* of trusting the ship to have any of those. On one cruise, my DW forgot to bring some ibuprofen and ended up needing some...on the 2nd day of a 21 day cruise. I snagged the last bottle at a premium cost...and the pickings were slim to non-existent for most other items... Buy it and bring it...
  13. Using the app, when you check in, generally around 30 days before departure, you will chose an arrival time...
  14. Click on the icon towards the top of the page (or on one of your posts) in your case the letter K, then account settings, then Signatures...there is a slider to turn them off. Then click on Save...
  15. Probably a good guess as we all know that they *rarely* get any update right the first time... And, as usual, it will cause us pain and it will cost Celebrity revenue...
  16. What's left?? Have spa prices gone up yet? (I don't care about those anyway...) Medical services? (Hope I don't need those...)
  17. An extremely enjoyable 'live' needless to say. Thanks for bringing us along! Safe journey home and Merry Christmas to you and Iain! (Your timing is perfect...I just ran out of popcorn...)
  18. "Allows all the Celebrity Grinches out there to tell other people how they should be dressing, so they can feel superior one last time in 2022." Ever so subtle irony...lol... Oh, and Merry Christmas!
  19. Agreed. Once I give it to them, it is theirs to do with as they see fit. If it ends up going in some pool, that's fine with me...certainly can't have a problem with spreading the joy...
  20. I already pay the gratuities in advance. So I don't concern myself with pools. I leave that distribution up to Celebrity and don't give it a second thought. I directly tip those members of the staff who I think made my voyage more pleasurable (at the end of said voyage)...in cash.
  21. Agree (of course, see my previous posts here) with everything you said. Our guide was allowed to give the tour (just two of us...) in there. Perhaps because it was just us and not a group?? This was last June...and, yes, I saw no large groups at all. And it was indeed quiet and not at all congested.
