  1. There will be an Easter sale followed by Spring Sale, May Day Sale, Cinco de Mayo Sale, Graduation Sale, Beginning of Summer Sale . . . . See a price you like? Book it. Can get reduced till final payment. We book group space with a TA so refundable deposit. PS, if the sales above don't sound great then how about Mid Summer Sale, 4th of July, August Sale, My Birthday Sale (21st of August) or ????? Prices are a function of supply and demand. Really simple.
  2. We gave up and called Princess. Several glitches. Princess personnel in the USA entered the needed info and ticked the box for reading the contract.
  3. Getting back to what I thought was the original question. Once on board is anything different the old and new app?
  4. Just remember the rule for cruiseship apps. Give them two (not 3 tries) then either forget it or call them on a weekday morning. We have boarded when just our booking confirmation twice recently and once had Princess fill in the information and provide me with a new password. Have also given booking number to grandson who did it for me! Not worth stressing over.
  5. No difference at Canyon Ranch near home. Suggest your better half could do a massage.
  6. Unless you separate the reservations and he lists his credit card, you will get the bill for all their purchases. Credit cards with almost no exceptions cannot be used on board.
  7. Need to use Stock Perks app. Easy. A photo of the trade slip or statement with other holdings blocked out uploaded works fine. Was verified in 2 days.
  8. Agree, but the accessible areas that are a reasonable distance from the ports are less than .0001% of Alaska. To see even an overview of Alaska requires renting a car and one to two weeks. Sadly one really cannot get very far from the ports except in Skagway and a bit in Juneau.
  9. Agree. It is really neat to be able to send photos. Unlike the OP I have never had an issue sending a picture. I do send in lower resolution and do try to avoid peak use times on board when the ship's bandwidth is divided by more users. Always am amazed someone will spend a few thousand to fly to Europe, a few more for their cruise then complain about $90 to get internet fast enough to send pictures to friends. Especially when waiting till the next port will offer a high speed connection. Anyone else remember when you mailed photos using an envelope and a stamp? How about calling the operator to get a long distance line?
  10. Lots of delays in delivery. Agree Princess ships too close to cruise dates. Still amazed why people put themselves through the stressful wondering if they will arrive. A lot easier to pick them up at the pier. It added about 1 minute each time to our check-in. Just started processing us while another person walked a few feet to the boxes of Medallions and handed us ours. Crazy to create what could be a hassle.
  11. As said, get with a passport expeditor TOMORROW morning. Probably 90% change you will not be allowed to board. This is really a simple requirement. A phone rep could easily have heard you say your cruise started and ended in the US and thought it was closed loop. It is not and any cruise stopping in Colombia requires a passport with 6 months anyway. You have time to get it renewed for a few extra dollars. Better than being left at the pier. Have used a courier service that cost about $120 and had passport in 4 days! Just do a Google search.
  12. Since it is a venue at the Sebring track unlikely anyone on board would know anything about it. Has had several sponsors. Think 2025 is sold out as well.
  13. Glacier Bay is absolutely the best scenery on a cruise ship. In Skagway rent a car from Sourdough Renrals(rent early as only a dozen vehicles) and drive parallel to the train to Carcross. Then visit Dyea and all the Skagway sights.. The best! Aqua on Celebrity is nice but only because of Blu. A bit like Orange on HAL. Food good on both, but wasclots better pre covid. Entertainment better on X. Despite 30 cruises on X would go with HAL for their itinerary.
  14. Unless they read this forum. In 2019 a poster told about being able to buy CBD oil with THC in California and that she used it every night when on board. The individual was disembarked at the first port as THC violates Federal law.
  15. If there is no change and your condition is stable for 90 days then Princess insurance will cover you. At least they did with me. Otherwise anything you take meds for would be excluded. You do realize this thread is 4 YEARS old.
  16. Depending on the time of day should be no problem. Late afternoon ship's time it got a bit slower and video calls dropped often as both passengers and crew online. Starlink has limited capacity in the middle of the ocean. Lots less demand except when a packed ship moves through and area
  17. It all depends on how many people are online at the same time. X amount of bandwidth divided by 5000 means things are a bit slower. Also the ships all throttle the speeds. If 1mbps is not enough for you on a TP cruise then can only suggest flying or remain home.
  18. It is a location upgrade within a class of cabins. Not worth much. IMO
  19. OK. I love to cruise the US West Coast, but cruise to where? Mexico, always love a port where the local police carry machine guns and the US travel warning means I have no insurance coverage California, San Diego great as a port. Catalina Island is OK. SFO great. But Monterrey and Santa Barbara are shut. Whales require slow cruising speeds so the 14 day RT to Alaska doesn't work any more. And the short 4 day cruises are not our style.
  20. They just wanted you to feel like you were back home.
  21. Yes Highly suggest looking at each ship to see what venues are on each ship.
  22. With Starlink mid ocean always gas a signal but little bandwidth. To the OP, I have always been able to send photos using the basic wifi package even at North Cape Norway or Elephant Island Antarctica. Super fast, nope. Did it work? Yes. If you find the wifi not acceptable then don't purchase. Have places in Arizona where there is no signal of any type and no Starlink.
  23. Maybe. If adjacent or across the hall yes for under 18. The OP has a 20 year old who is an adult, so yes they can be in their own cabin
