  1. I read somewhere a long time ago that there was an Eco setting on the thermostat that you could disable that would not shut off the AC when the window was open. I have no personal experience but I'm sure I read that early on in Edge deployment. Edit: Maybe this is what I was remembering: "If you want the cabin at a certain temperature when you return, you may want to turn off the go green (under settings) as it will turn the thermostat up 2 degrees when you leave. It likely also turns off lights after a certain time. Good for the environment, but good to know, if it is on. " From this post:
  2. Here are the T&C from a very recent promotion which states FCC is valid for 12 months after issue. Usually this means you have that amount of time to apply it to another sailing. https://www.thecelebritycommitment.com/terms-conditions/ "Non-refundable deposit bookings (“NRDB”) cancelled prior to final payment due date will receive a future cruise credit (“FCC”) in the amount of the deposit minus a $100 per person service fee. This FCC is non-transferable and expires 12-months from the issue date."
  3. We were told you had to gamble 10% before the option is available again. This was on the ship where you could do it from the machine.
  4. prices are up about 30% if you include the 18% gratuity now added to the bill.
  5. If you see our favorite Luminae waiter Nino can you say hi from Royce & Robin. He was supposed to join Equinox during our last sailing but I believe got moved to Solstice last minute.
  6. And if it couldn't be resolved they certainly had the opportunity to operate a a capacity where they could deliver the advertised product. I also seriously question the 80% return of staff. On several sailings in the last 6 months the number of new untrained staff struggling was very noticeable. Much different than the first 9 months after the return to service.
  7. I'm glad to see that corporate is concentrating their efforts on the important things!
  8. It's considered a repositioning cruise. These sailings used to be cheap but not anymore. Every once in awhile a particular sailing is not coded right and they will give you the regular amount. But I'm sure if the sailing name has Trans...... in it you will only get the reduced amount.
  9. The link to the Celebrity marketing flyer on the program is listed in this thread. Any rep giving you an issue should be provided the link or talk to their supervisor. This program has been in place for many years.
  10. She has been on Edge class ships quite a bit since the restart. Is her daughter still singing backup for her? We were on the second sailing after the restart on Edge. She did an "Unplugged" performance in Eden along with her stage show. I think she was going to be onboard from July to Nov.
  11. Here I'll even help them out. I will let them use my proposal.😁 Not trying to confuse anyone. This is NOT real. It's the values of OBC for booking onboard. I do think the amounts are a bit more in line with what should be given for B2B.
  12. Yes. Given the fare increases of the last several years I would think they would revisit the discounts. Either make them some sort of percentage (although they would probably be embarrassed giving a 1% or less discount) or just up the amount or scale by stateroom category/cruise length.
  13. Yea just like it was the biggest Black Friday Sale ever. Oh and only xx hours left (until we extend it again!). Marketing!
  14. You can say it's additive to the cruise only rate but as @jagoffee says they are different rates. AI is built into that higher rate. The only way to change rate is at prevailing rates even before final payment. After final payment they usually let you "upgrade" to another category as long as it is at least $1 more than your current rate. I'd assume the same for going from cruise only to AI in the same category or higher as long as you're giving them more $$.
  15. I'm not sure when those schedules will be released. We are still waiting on the release of the rest of the summer 2024 Europe season.
  16. My experience on Reflection and Constellation as well. The key in the casino poster above is the term "Promotional credits". We have the same issue with any credits purchased in the cruise planner. They are promotional and only winnings can be cashed out (the entire amount, not just the extra 10%).
  17. I thought it was flagged if until you gambled 10%, not allowing you to make another withdrawal from your seapass account. I saw this with someone we were traveling with where they had taken some OBC as cash and then the Casino was offering $5 promotional play that night. That person was not able to get to the promo screen to get the $5 until speaking with an attendant. Other than that they had no problem playing the slots even when "flagged". I think the flag limits the menus available at the screen on the machine. It will still let you put your card in and turn green and gamble. My understanding.
  18. And done automatically. OBC is applied as a credit to your account (negative ledger entry) and offsets any charges. If you have both refundable and non-refundable then the non-refundable is used first, again automatically. If you still have a negative balance at the end of the cruise then that amount will be credited back to your credit card on file or can be retrieved in cash from guest relations the last day of the cruise up to the amount of refundable OBC. Any remaining non-refundable OBC is forfeited even if you are on a B2B as all accounts are closed at the end of each sailing.
  19. Looks like the bonus $50 is available today as well.
  20. My understanding is the "freeplay" that comes with the 10% bonus sold on cruise planner doesn't count toward your casino points. Not just the 10% but the entire amount is considered promotional. If casino status is important to you it may not be what you want to do.
  21. Doing a dummy booking both on Friday and this morning didn't show the bonus on my 6/27 and 7/8 2024 Apex sailings. Doing one just now it does show. Evidently they may have fixed some of the sailing they said previously didn't qualify. Unfortunately my 7/8 sailing sold out of my category this afternoon.
  22. Connecting rooms on Equinox don't have a connecting door on the interior of the room. There are 2 doors normally folded back into the doorway that when closed on the exterior of the stateroom door create a vestibule outside the 2 stateroom doors. I'm sure there are photos of this somewhere. I would not avoid connecting room on "S" class ships with the exception of Reflection which for some reason went back to connecting doors on the interior. But the cabins on the slant do have bigger balcony. The other thing to consider is bed by the bath or bed by the balcony. If the room has a square on it designating a sleeper sofa that also means it's bed by the bath.
