  1. Yes I've seen it sell out prior to sailing. Yes anything you purchase on the Cruise Planner can be paid for with Celebrity OBC. Just make sure that you provide the amount of OBC you want to use and that it's deducted from the amount due on the checkout page.
  2. It made a big difference compared to current pricing, just not to the price I got in May.
  3. I did check for my Jan 2 Equinox sailing. With the promo AI NRD it ends up about $50 less than my current refundable price. I'll keep what I have.
  4. Anybody know any details on the promo. I don't see any information anywhere on the Celebrity site. I would like to read the T&C.
  5. I believe the only ones who can't do same day testing are those unvaccinated passengers who are required to be tested again at the port.
  6. Celebrity provides a complete "contact us" list of phone numbers and email addresses at the bottom of the main page of their website.
  7. 8162 is second off the hump so balcony is about 2x the normal size 8160 has the larger balcony. Also 8162 is bed by the bath. You can usually tell by the square sofa bed indicator on the deck plan. With the square bed by the bath, without bed by balcony. Sleeper sofa is always by the balcony as far as I know.
  8. Just spoke with friends on Equinox. They are not being tested for turnaround day tomorrow. 6/8 day sailings.
  9. They are 2 to 3 times larger than the normal balcony. Some people complain that they make the cabin dark and the balcony is a tunnel.
  10. Here is the link to the policy https://www.celebritycruises.com/content/dam/celebrity/pdf/cel-covid-19-cancellations-and-refunds-policy.pdf
  11. If you have tested positive within 10 days of the sailing Celebrity will refund you with their current policy which goes through November. If you have other non-refundable items like hotel/air then you would process those through your travel insurance.
  12. It took me until the last day on my Edge sailing to figure out the Key button was hidden and had to swipe to get to it. Very poor design.
  13. When repricing it like canceling and rebooking. So you lose whatever promo you had before and get the current prevailing rate/promo.
  14. Your cruise must have been covered by CwC. Most peoples reservations now are not covered by that policy anymore unless you are sailing in the next 45 days.
  15. Yes non-refundable deposit reservations can be repriced prior to final payment. Best price guarantee is pretty useless after final payment. I think the price drop has to be within 24-48 hrs after booking.
  16. When the website is working it is pretty clear. I like others have seen the issue where the website doesn't give you and option for Always Included on a veranda cabin. Celebrity IT. I think it usually takes them a couple days to straighten out issues after loading new sales into the system. I can and does vary sailing by sailing.
  17. Yes suites are always always included. You can't book cruise only fare for Aqua or Suites. My advice put the PH on hold, get a copy of the invoice to verify and go from there! On the invoice you should see mention of Retreat either as a line item or in the Promotions section. That means the perk line item charge/credit will be added. Also can check the OBC section, that generally has the $300/$400 pp listed immediately verifying perks are included. With the sail you would get an additional $400 OBC for the cabin as well.
  18. Their website seems to get messed up with every "sale". It can be confusing for even the most experienced Celebrity customers here. Imagine what happens to the new customer who thinks they can just go to the website and book. We will be reading about their woes in the coming months. I always tell people NEVER book and pay on the website. Either use the website and put the booking on hold, get the invoice to review, then call to review/deposit or call to book but get the invoice and review before hanging up the phone. Or use a TA you trust.
  19. Celebrity FCC's can't be used to book RCCL sailings. I'm surprised RCCL told you that theirs could be used for Celebrity. I think you will probably need to speak with them to find out how.
  20. I always us a private browser window when on Celebrity's site. They use too many tracking cookies. I've never had an issue getting to the hold screen. I also don't get any emails about completing sailings I've just been browsing.
  21. The Abbot tests provided by emed/Optum are not the same as the ones you buy over the counter. Well yes they are probably the same but the emed ones are labeled as RX and have a red band and the over the counter ones are blue band box. I believe with OnPoint if using the tests which come several to the box the internal components are all sealed and you can't open those sealed packages without the proctor observing.
  22. They have replaced the Vaccine section with a new Health Status section with 3 questions. 2 regarding vaccine status and one about pregnancy.
  23. Was it assigned to your TA already or is it still with Celebrity? If it's still with Celebrity I'd call your TA and see if they can take it as is or if you have to select a sailing with Celebrity then transfer it to them provided it's within 30 days of when you booked it onboard. Your TA should be very familiar with these and be able to help you as well. Yes they can deal with them and they get paid the regular commission on the booking.
