I found some Stiletto Heeled Flip Flops on Amazon. Is this what you meant by "heels" and "flip flops"?

If I order a prix free meal, I suspect I could leave some items off - and just get an appetizer, for example. I doubt they would force me to eat the rest of the meal. I think the real question is whether or not there is a time restriction between two prix free meals. If I want two appetizers (charged as two prix free meals), is there a minimum time I have to wait between the two meals?

LIVE - Royal Princess Sep 23 (2 Day Coastal...and more)
NavyVeteran replied to ceilidh1's topic in Princess Cruises
The menu says "If you have Princess Premier or Princess Plus, there desserts (original or with alcohol) are included in your package." Do you know if a dessert with alcohol counts against your limit of 15 alcoholic beverages? If not, could you order a premium dessert with alcohol and leave out everything but the shot?😀 -
Your problem is primarily with Delta, not with EZAir. EZAir is acting as a travel agent to book the flights, but they have no control over them after booking. You may also try calling Delta to see if they can change you to another flight. Normally if they change your flight to an unacceptable one, you should be able to change to another available one at no change in fare.

I've booked window suites on the Caribbean and Grand several times under the mini-suite option, so this is not a new change. It took me a while to find them after they made the change. Note from your extract above for Window Suite: "along with special suite-only benefits". You do get the suite perks. I can understand the change from a marketing perspective. For those of us who know what we want and where to find it, it doesn't matter where they put it. However, it may matter to others. If someone is looking for a suite, Princess doesn't want them to see the Window Suite at a lower price - they would rather sell them the more expensive suite with balcony. They want someone looking for a mini-suite to upgrade to a Window Suite instead.

A US citizen does not necessarily need an actual passport to enter Canada on the excursions from Skagway. Another WHTI compliant document would also per acceptable. Per the description for one of the Princess Yukon excursions, "Since this tour enters Canada, all guests must carry a passport or other WHTI compliant document. For U.S. citizens these documents include: U.S. Passport, U.S. Passport Card, Enhanced Driver's License, Trusted Traveler Card and Military ID Card (for U.S. armed forces members on official orders)." Although, I agree that a passport is the safest alternative.

My sister-in-law eats gluten free. After the first morning, they had a trey of several different kinds of gluten-free pastries for her to choose from every morning.

Princess Cruise Medallions....Where are they manufactured
NavyVeteran replied to stevenr597's topic in Princess Cruises
But there is personalized information printed on the outside of the medallion. -
I have normally received laundry back the next day. It could be same day if you send it out early enough in the morning. Even if you have it available early enough, it depends on when the cabin steward gets it to the laundry. However, I normally send laundry out in the evening, since we normally bathe and change after excursions or a sea day before dinner. I always tell the cabin steward to expect laundry on my bed when he services the cabin in the evening. Since suite laundry has priority over Elite laundry, it doesn't matter how many Elites are onboard. My experience is pre-pandemic, since I haven't sailed Princess in a suite since the pandemic. I've noticed that the suite amenities no longer explicitly say one-day laundry like they did pre-pandemic, so I don't know if this has changed.

Panama Canal; Coral vs Caribbean; Ft Lauderdale vs PT Canaveral
NavyVeteran replied to D1324tt's topic in Princess Cruises
Do you mean 2025 or 2056? I can't find any Panama Canal cruises available for April 2026. Looking at the itineraries for the two April 2025 cruises, the Coral cruise says "Panama Canal Full Transit Historic Locks" and the Caribbean cruise says "Panama Canal Full Transit New Locks". Although the Caribbean Princess is one of my favorite ships, I would definitely recommend the Coral Princess and the Historic Locks if you have not sailed through the canal before. I have sailed through both sets of locks, and they are both interesting, but the Historic Locks are historic. There is a lot of history there that the New Locks don't have. Sail them first, and save the New Locks for a later cruise. Also, I highly recommend you read Path Between the Seas by David McCullough. It is the definitive history of the building of the Panama Canal. Reading it before (and during) your trip will definitely help make the trip through the Canal more interesting, especially if you transit the Historic Locks. -
Terrible customer service and overcharge on bidding
NavyVeteran replied to ccheng6401's topic in Princess Cruises
You definitely have to deal through the travel agent. Even though you bid directly, Princess will not talk with you about charges if you have booked through a travel agent. I would definitely recommend against disputing the charge with your credit card company. If you dispute the charge and the charge is reversed, then Princess may cancel your cruise for nonpayment. I wouldn't take that risk for $48. -
Why no show? Why not call and cancel? I don't know of any advantage of no show over calling and cancelling. If she cancels, she will get port fees refunded. I don't know about no show. If she has Princess Vacation Protection, she will get FCC for cancellation fees.
-
First go into Cruise Personalizer and verify that the excursions are cancelled. They do not send any notification of the refund. If they refund to your credit card, you will see it by logging into your credit card. They don't actually refund the OBC, since they don't actually charge the OBC until you're onboard. They just reserve that OBC to avoid charging a credit card. You can check on the Cruise Personalizer to see if the OBC is still reserved. "MANAGE THIS BOOKING" for any current cruise booking. Start a test booking of a new excursion. Select one or more excursions for all occupants of your cabin (select enough excursions to more than use all of your OBC), and click on "ADD TO CART". Click on "PAY NOW". Below the list of excursions in your cart, click on "PAY NOW". Look at EXCURSION RESERVATIONS SUMMARY. It will show Previously Made Reservations and Previous Payments Received. You can compare the Previous Payments Received with your credit card charges to see if there are any pending credit card refunds. It will also show Onboard credits applied. This will be your current remaining balance of OBC, so you can see if all of your remaining OBC is now available. Do not "Make a Payment". When you are finished reviewing the information, click "Remove" next to every one of your test excursions. SInce you did not "Make a Payment", nothing new has been charged.

I would not expect a general Princess representative to be able to handle either of those questions. Shareholders credit response to email is generally very fast. If it's been a couple of weeks, I recommend resending the information. One potential issue: Is the person who requested the shareholder OBC a veteran who is already getting veteran OBC? If so, you cannot also get shareholder OBC. However if the other person in the cabin is not a veteran, that person can get shareholder OBC. Information on how to set up a meet & greet is in the thread How To Set Up a Meet & Greet on Board Princess Ships locked on the top of the Princess forum.

You have a choice on Princess. You can select the lower Basic fare and some nickel and diming, or you can select the Plus or Premier fare for an all-inclusive experience.

Casual Dining - Fixed Price Menus and A La Carte Charges
NavyVeteran replied to dides's topic in Princess Cruises
The specialty restaurant charge is a cover charge. If you make a reservation for two, then you pay for two. If you make a reservation for one, then they only seat one. There is no a la carte option. Everyone who eats there has to pay the cover charge. You may pay with a credit if you have one, or it can be charged to your folio. The casual restaurants are different, since you can order a la carte if you want. -
I'm tired of people saying I got the Plus package because I drink a lot of booze. I purchased the Plus package because I want milk with my cookies - and I eat a lot of cookies. 😀

Were you happy or unhappy with your bid upgrade location?
NavyVeteran replied to jennmaybe's topic in Princess Cruises
You lucked out. Just because you don't see minis under the Lido deck available doesn't mean you couldn't get one. Someone in one of those minis could have bid on a suite. -
One device per person is included in the Plus fare. However, 4 devices per person is included in the Premier fare.

Casual Dining - Fixed Price Menus and A La Carte Charges
NavyVeteran replied to dides's topic in Princess Cruises
Is that any worse than bartenders being the drink police? If I order a drink with the Plus package and give half of it to someone else, that violates the rules. How is that different than ordering a pizza with the Plus package and giving half of it to someone else? -
If you don't have Internet, how can they call you? People can call me anytime I'm on a ship since I use Wi-Fi calling. I certainly don't want to pay for cellular service on a ship, and I normally don't pay for it in ports outside of the United States either.
-
I like to have my phone available so people can contact me. If I'm traveling with non-US ports, then I don't have wi-fi cellular service in ports. I don't want to spend my time in port searching for a place with free wi-fi.

No, you are not wrong.

They usually have bloody Marys and mimosas available in the MDR.
