  1. You could or walk around the covered market stalls opposite the port. Either way be prepared to run the gauntlet of cab drivers desperate for a fare, there and back
  2. Very safe….. Take a shared minibus taxi from the port. They usually drop people off at start of downtown, being eastern end of Front Street…… Walk west… Past the ferry shuttle dock on your left… About 30 yards down on the right is the store. You can not miss it. Could take the shuttle ferry back to the ship, or just hail a minivan taxi, as plenty ply their trade up/down Front Street…
  3. Personally, one (or family/friends) would not use anybody except LGV Limos. Haven’t used them since 2019, but do not think their standards would have dropped. Give them a call to discuss your special day, It’s good to talk. The best alcohol shop for range and styles is http://www.gulmoharsxm.com - There really is not another store to compare, especially if one is seeking rare Malts and Rum.
  4. Snorkelling from beach is very poor. For first visit, take an island tour. There are many available but Annie’s would be a good fit. https://anniescaribbeantours.com Next visit take a Catamaran sail/snorkel to Nevis with lunch and drinks included Then, on subsequent visit spend the day at the botanical Gardens. (Don’t forget the free rum tasting which is hidden away at the back of the “shop”) From then on, take a genteel cruisers day pass at the Marriott. No T’erds But, if wishing a more lively beach vibe, the Discovery Beach Bar. No T’erds.
  5. 12 meter Yacht Race……… Not to be missed
  6. Not on Cunard…… They treat guests as responsible adults……. And there.’s no limit
  7. The tourist board will give definite information Phone: 1-787-710-8280 Written Question: https://cupeles.com/contact/
  8. If one is seeking total time flexibility with the same table (for two) every breakfast, lunch and dinner, without any time or queueing angst, then book BC.
  9. The only location one could recommend is Turners, as they have the space and ability to give all your party a private section on their beach. Has the facilities required, plus Caribbean stalls and can organise coach transport to/from. Think they would offer an excellent group price and value the business. https://visitantiguabarbuda.com/destinations/turners-beach-bar-restaurant/ Photographs Link https://www.google.co.uk/maps/uv?pb=!1s0x8c12f2824336e2bf%3A0x822f0baf2ead73e2!3m1!7e115!4shttps%3A%2F%2Flh5.googleusercontent.com%2Fp%2FAF1QipPPDZb5ya5-ixbOJC9X0jeuhdmfq-WWWYTeN3c%3Dw426-h320-k-no!5sturners beach bar antigua - Google Search!15sCgIgAQ&imagekey=!1e10!2sAF1QipPPDZb5ya5-ixbOJC9X0jeuhdmfq-WWWYTeN3c&hl=en&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjZwdq4tO75AhXRTcAKHe0WDr0Qoip6BAhZEAM

  11. As previously stated, this is the go to venue for crew as they receive a discount, so can let off steam etc., also Herds, plus those who wish to only walk and not pay for a cab. Spaces limited, noisy etc., beds first come first served. One may pay Viator, but that does not guarantee a bed. Viator T&C state “subject to availability”, so if no bed, tough. Seaweed appears after a period of bad weather offshore, so it can’t be predicted. But usually happens out of season. Take a taxi to the Marriott. A much better day experience. https://www.marriott.com/en-us/hotels/skbrb-st-kitts-marriott-resort-and-the-royal-beach-casino/overview/ Typo
  12. Apart from Bajan working shops, stores, cafés, restaurants, stalls and businesses etc., what exactly is one seeking? As taxi will drop your party at a point of choice. One’s recommendation would be to take a guided tour and see the Island, which will involve a drive through downtown. Previously posted Best idea is have a bespoke tour. There is so much to see from caves to gardens. Our go to operator retired some years ago, but hear Williams is doing great work with a growing reputation. Contact Williams, discuss your would/not likes and time period. Also, a stop for nice ethnic lunch such at JuJus, just opened up again after a massive fire, where food is good and your custom is valued. Plus, to the sea/right from JuJus, about 40 yards offshore is where the cruise snorkelling tours swim. If snorkelling is of interest while there, then easy rock free entrance to the sea from beach, is to the right, passing the “Lone Star Restaurant” by about 8/10 yards. You’ll not miss it. Please - snorkelling before food and drinks/alcohol, not after.

  15. Coco Beach Bar is the best by far IMHO. Taxi $30 e/w Coco is far, far north of the nudist section. Plenty of taxis there and back. Your outward driver will be pleased to bring you back at at time required
  16. Best spot is Cades reef, which is off shore and reached by boat. At least see reef before tourists destroy it. It decays every year with morons standing on, walking over it and taking pieces away as souvenirs. There is a spot to the north of Half Moon Bay, but it’s his and miss, isolated, no services, no facilities and taxis charge a premium to take you there and difficult to get a cab back to the ship.
  17. Was $25.00 per cab three years ago, best to work on $30 plus tip
  18. Sailing out of Southampton? Cruises 14/28 days 4 X-LARGE usually close to 30 kg each plus 2 large about 25 each, all to the baggage handler with a good gratuity passed with the words “know they may be heavy, but thank you”… A “thank you” is the usual response…. Weight has never been a problem 😉 Bye the way…….. baggage handlers dislike coachers and self droppers, for the obvious reason.
  19. A tip for taking piles of Jollop on a cruise without breaking luggage weight restrictions. Order on line from Boots and make the “collect” the in airport UK store. This is after the weighing of hold and cabin luggage pull along etc. Then load the cabin pull along with the Jollop….. Simples Another tip my BIL always uses, is to take an empty plastic bottle and fill it for free from the water fountains in departure after security.
  20. Not only money talks, so does “Friends & Family”……Followed by VIP, then retirees and current employees
  21. Happy to stand corrected….
  22. Sorry, my mistake. My security review was based on the Marriott. If going to discovery, book in advance for lunch/day. Shared minibus was $8 pp e/w Also, bring your state flag to hang in the bar.
  23. A light hearted suggestion by Spike Milligan- “Sit under a tree”
  24. Think @crazycatladt82 is considering spending the day at the Marriott, not Discovery Beach Bar. Could be a potential cab share?
