  1. We too take the approved connections and electrical adaptors on board with us that do not have surge protectors that's restricted. We got these adaptor/connections from an online source that have multiple outlets and several USB outlets that have come in handy on last several sailings. May not be where the onboard outlets are placed but these do the job charging.
  2. On one of our first sailings out of the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal in NY, I accidentally had my version of Swiss Army Knife in my camera/utility bag. I was shocked I didn't know I had it in there. The Security Camera Scanner caught it. I had to leave it at the terminal in a package and picked it us on our return. It is a restricted item to take on board even though it can be useful during the trip as you described.
  3. Just a guess. We were assigned a CWC number in the late 80's and still have the same without change. Hope the Original Poster resolves the problem. Ours is 9 digit with A & B for couple..
  4. We were on a 14 day New England/Canada and had 4 Gala's
  5. I believe from the two last sailing when the In Room Coffee Service was introduced to the rooms, Nescafe was the brand we found. My theory to which coffee would be Nescafe. They give you bottled water for the kettle to use and it fresh in from of you. The ones in Kings Court can be questionable of when it was made in which machine. Yes, one is brewed, one is instant. Drinker choice. I found no problem with Nescafe. You can also if don't mind to bring Instant of your choice along with you for the room.
  6. At the 21st day before your sailing, you will directed to My Cunard Booking Site to Printout your Booking Pass which will also state your Embarkation Time to arrive at the Terminal. Also you can record your Credit Card that you will use for purchases on board. Also if you will wish, you will be instructed how to attach your photo to be used for your On Board ID Card. They also take your photo at the terminal if you don't have one. And as you asked, you need to print the number of Luggage Tags you will need for your Luggage. It contains your Cabin/Suite Number, Date of Sailing and Deck your Luggage will be directed to be delivered. You can print it in color or black & white but preferred in color the original color of the tag online. You can still use your personal ID tags as additional ID. We also do also besides the Cunard Tag. Bon Voyage!
  7. Totally Agree! You get the total picture what you would like to show appreciate and amount.
  8. It's so interesting to see all the experiences being posted by other CC'ers (passengers) related to obtaining a table they will be comfortable at for 4-7-9-11-etc... days sailing. As possibly mentioned in the past, we give our preference on booking. Luckily we get the table and location we request practically each time. Is it restaurant, Diamond Level, decades of sailing or sheer lucky. If there is a question once on board, we cordially address on it to the M'd and within a meal our request is happily considered. So patience, courtesy and cordial approach is the prescription to approaching this subject.
  9. Casual but Presentable....All are in different states of travel - local and distance. From our point of view when we ate in Princess Grill on embarking day.... Casual Pants and Polo Shirt and maybe a light jacket in case the restaurant had A/C med-high. Just Relax on Boarding......Enjoy the View of the Queen's Interior....Find Your Way to Deck 7 Enjoy Your Lunch.....And......BON VOYAGE!
  10. Multi Cultural - Multi Ethic.....you name it - we got it !
  11. Yes, in the USA we do have many various styles of shorts and many mail order catalogs available to us as Tattycoram describes. And maybe even more in boutique, outdoors and hunting catalogs. I wouldn't do a sailing with cargo shorts for added space.
  12. We feel very comfortable in shorts on board from breakfast on for on deck activities and tour excursions. Of course they should look presentable and not like going out to wash the car or water the lawn.
  13. Ha.....I remember those QE2 days of Formal, Semi Formal, Elegant Casual and in the Caribbean on one of those Tropical Outside Deck Buffets....Resort Casual.... So Simple Phrases remembered from one sailing to the next sailing.
  14. Thank you..... One thing I don't understand and don't want to make a silly point, but those that don't even dress Smart Dress or Gala do stick out like a "SORE THUMB". Come on and join the Crowd...As I always say, Gala Evenings make feel "James Bond-ish"...lol.
  15. One Time we printed the items out on 21 day and soon to the sailing day got a Surprise Upgrade. Well out comes the printer to reprint the information with the Upgrade documents. But it's no big deal to print another set of documents.
  16. BRAVO Besides the traditions and meaning of Cunard and the (QE2) QM2, this is one of the Main Attractions for sailing with them. We look forward to joining all those After 6 on Gala Days and even spur of the moment decision to change into Tux for an evening. I even though I should thru out the year, lose weight to fit in the Tux to enjoy the feeling of Elegance. I feel bad for those on the other lines of what they are missing celebrating the true meaning of Sailing.
  17. They are located on Deck 2 Port Side next to the RC Theater. Those are Game style tables with boxes of different entertainment. And a GREAT view of the Sea both in Beautiful & Challenging Wavesssssssssss......lol
  18. I use straight laptop and color printer esp. for luggage tags...
  19. BON VOYAGE, John! We have someone on board with you and they said it was a loooong day..... Enjoy....
  20. We seen Trivia in Morning, Afternoon and Early Evening Also Snowball Bingo to mention some... There is on the QM2 in the Morning and Afternoon Bridge Games and Classes
