  1. The champagne included with the premium beverage package, which is included with your Suite, is Haslinger from Reims France. Booking a suite your dining room is Luminae and you can also dine in Blu on a space available basis. Many feel Luminae is as good or better than the specialty restaurants. A ship of 2900 passengers will have a different feel and at times it could feel crowded. But the entertainment and things to do offer more options. We enjoy the Retreat Sun Deck and during day and later in the evening the Retreat Lounge can offer a quiet place to read, relax and have a drink.
  2. We are starting a TP in less than 2 weeks. Edge and Solstice both offered TP sailings within 1 week of each other. Having done Solstice and Edge both multiple times we choose Edge. We love E class ships but we also love choices and getting a fair deal. One of the deciding factors for us was the 4 MDRs on the Edge offer more menu choices than the 1 MDR menu on the Solstice. With 18 nights the more menu choices I have the better. Similarly for breakfast and lunch on sea days where Eden Cafe for breakfast and lunch and the Rooftop Grill and Le Gran Bistro for lunch give us more options. Another consideration was entertainment where we find E class ships offer better entertainment. Price was higher for the Edge initially and bookings didn’t open until quite awhile after Solstice was taking bookings. While I didn’t do any detailed tracking of prices, over time my sporadic price checking showed price gap narrowed a lot. We ended up in a Sky Suite on the Edge for $560 per night for 2.
  3. We boarded the Edge today and no notification legionella or any other health issue. So does not appear to be fleet wide.
  4. In our experience the best person to tell about an issue with the cabin is the cabin steward. Butler & Concierge look after you, Cabin Attendant sees to cabin and cabin issues.
  5. Check the app, you will find the menu.
  6. If you don’t have a schedule slot at the dock until your original scheduled arrival then no reason to rush to get to there.
  7. We had one on deck 7 never heard a sound from Eden.
  8. The Elite internet is the Premium. How fast or slow can vary depending on where the ship is, where you are on the ship, peak usage times, weather.
  9. Dinner is about 90 minutes. The show is frequently at 9 & repeated at 9. Some sailing recently the shows have been 7:30 & 9:30. You can ask for a table by the window you will probably get one at least occasionally.
  10. Can’t get 2 drinks on 1 card, that is to stop the sharing of a package.
  11. Haven’t been in AQ in awhile but on our recent cruise I asked about the tote bag, cabin attendant had forgotten it. The cabins attendants are now handling 16 or more cabins, vs 12 previously. Ask about the tote bag and the sparkling wine if you want it.

  13. I believe they recently added an extra charge over the packages for Eden and LeVoyage. Those restaurants booked on board are $85 pp + gratuity for Eden regular menu and $125pp + for LV. Tasting menu is more.
  14. The everyday Classics are available in Blu and Luminae on all ships. Whether or not you can get other items as @Georgia_Peaches said varies by ship and by staffing. When things are busy or short staff a Maitre D may not be willing to send a waiter off to another kitchen to get an item from another menu, leaving other diners waiting to be served.
  15. Lot of confusion among new X cruisers because bar menus only list a few drinks for each bar. Those specialty drinks are being interpreted as all the drinks available. Many seem to be looking for a drink menu that includes every drink that you can possibly have with each package.
  16. There is one for an upcoming sailing we are on that has just gone over 600 members. The misinformation is rampant.
  17. The option is on the Cruise Planner, if available. They said it would be limited. It is a daily charge and everyone in the cabin pays the daily rate. Our current sailing it is $31 pp per day. If you order full room service 1-2 times a day and need to have 2 devices connected to the internet at the same time. Then it might be worth it. Priority luggage’s delivery has little value, imo, as we have always had our luggage delivered by 3:30. The reserved seating in the theater, if it is like reserved seating section for suites, is only on Evening Chic night and those seats are released about 5-10 mins before the show starts to anyone. You can’t slide in 5 minutes after the show starts. Priority tendering is only valuable if there are tender ports on your itinerary and you are not Elite or above.
  18. We have had soot on Solstice, Equinox and Eclipse. Not on every sailing in a SV but on some. Direction of the ship, wind?? irritating when it happens but still love SVs.
  19. On the E class ships the 4 MDRs are excellent, we booked Aqua on our 1st E class sailing and decided the extra cost for AQ wasn’t worth it. Equinox, I would book AQ.
  20. The way it shows as Day 1 12 noon is the way the special dinners ( Chef’s Table, Dinner on the Edge and others) show on the booking confirmation. The actual day and time isn’t known until boarding. Not idea why it would show as Fine Cut, it normally shows the name of the event.
  21. Are you past final payment? They told our TA it didn’t apply to bookings already paid in full. But post # 85 had success by escalating it. I wasn’t expecting to get it but we decided to upgrade to a Suite Guarantee and when the TA priced it the Zenith cruise only rate was available. Was it the Zenith Desk that told you you didn’t qualify?
  22. The Eclipse does not have a Retreat Sundeck.
  23. For some unknown reason the cabanas are under dining in their system so it automatically gives the dining dress code. Pool attire is fine, as are shorts.
  24. I’m happy with the discount. Would a larger one be better, of course. But we pointed out an issue and they responded. The $1,600 I got off my cruise makes me 😊.
