  1. With the wide array of casino offers (we get plenty year round) and record quarterly earnings, you'd think one would tie the two together.
  2. I'm looking at the Odyssey in December. Would one of the 2-top tables along the windows facing the main bar be the best spot for watching ALL the games? And, are the bathrooms as far from Playmakers as the deck plans indicate?
  3. It also depends on how many ships are currently sailing on different dates out of Cape Liberty. If you're sailing from June-October, the Liberty AND Symphony are alternating departures and possibly might fill the parking garage. By November, it'll just be the Odyssey for the winter, so parking should be plenty.
  4. I'd opt to watch it at the Red Frog upper lido tiki bar on deck 17 if I was going.
  5. In my experience, I've taken the Oasis from Bayonne to Bahamas 5 times over the last 3 Sept/Oct's. And I've noticed that if a game is showing at Playmakers, it's also on in the cabin TV (except for early NFL Sunday games. If 6 are on in Playmakers, you'll get 4 in the cabin). For a European sailing, I guess you'll find out before me.
  6. Would much prefer Playmakers over Sabor.
  7. They didn't replace the TVs in the sports bar. Did they get rid the casino bar?
  8. Philly's version. Xfinity Live! _ Philadelphia, PA.html
  9. SkyBox bar on all Conquest and Spirit class ships has a good 20-25 seats along the bar and TVs on both sides of the lounge so there are usually good viewpoints even on busy NFL Sundays. The Vista class SkyBox bars are much too small. Panorama DOES have the MGM sportsbook kiosks though.
  10. That's a nice view of people's backs. The only way you're watching the games are if you're one of 7 people onboard who can grab a seat at the bar.
  11. The last 2 times I was at Coco Cay, the balloon wasn't even at its location. Down for repairs. I wouldn't want to be one of the souls on it where something happened to require those repairs......and pay an extra $90 p/p for it.
  12. From the videos I've seen of the "sports" bar on Venezia, they wouldn't be able to handle an NFL Sunday afternoon crowd. 7 seats at the bar and a bunch of living room chairs with less than desirable views of the TVs. Nothing I've seen on ANY Carnival ship compares to RCL's Playmakers.
  13. I sailed last year during NFL season and RCL had the TNF game onboard despite it being on Amazon Prime.
  14. Go with the balcony cabin. The extra 100 total square footage is nowhere near worth $2,100.
  15. We had I Gede on our Legend sailing the month before yours.....unless there's another I Gede that's a doppelganger.
  16. BetMGM Sportsbook is available on some Carnival ships now. Hopefully, RCL can follow suit.
  17. The woman on TV wants your Corona. Did they have the Kentucky Derby on at the bar?
  18. Is there a live sportsbook (kiosks) on Panorama?
  19. Carnival even blocks sports gambling sites on their onboard wifi service.....at least on the ships without sports gambling permitted onboard.
  20. As an Eagles fan, you forgot to list Playmakers. 😮
  21. By the time the NJEA (Jersey Week) takes place, the Symphony will be on its way to homeport in Miami and the Odyssey won't be in Bayonne for another week. Plus, Election Day is Nov. 5, so that's a good week for the kiddos to be yanked out of school for a cheaper cruise.
  22. I'll never understand people's praises of the "pizza" onboard Carnival. I was just on the Legend (the sailing before the bridge collapse) and gave it another shot even though I swore off it about 8 years ago. Waited 20 minutes for it, because the server would always walk to the back oven room for EVERY order, took one bite and left the rest of the slice on the buffet table. BTW, the Deli went way downhill too. So, I have to concur with the posters who feel the food has suffered a big decline.
  23. Were you able to watch whatever game you wagered on?.....or were there limits to what games they showed?
  24. Carnival is also the only cruise line that doesn't allow their drinking package to be used on their private island, not to mention it's also the only line to limit the number of alcoholic beverages per day.
