  1. Thank you for sharing your day's visit to Guernsey. We also had a fabulous tour, and if we visit again, I think we may book the one you were on. Les Miserables is one of my very favorite books and I am so fortunate it was required reading in high school.
  2. Thank you so much, @Eglesbrech for your hanging out with us while on your journey. Is there a main dining room that you prefer, and why?
  3. @PacnGoNow LOL! I am in agreement. Actually, I think it was more than that but we lost count and finished our dinner before they did... they were still eating lobster. Oh, and I tend to eat slowly.
  4. When we were on the Grand last September, a couple next to us were on their 15th lobster when we left. It was formal night and it was on the regular menu... All you can eat.
  5. Exactly! I worked in an Italian restaurant and was taught the correct pronunciation.
  6. We have so enjoyed the many guest lecturers, nature commentators, and locals who are guests on Princess ships. Princess really does that well.
  7. @Jeter02 meant to call the Dine Line when on the ship. They can not be called until after you board.
  8. I did not say it is wrong. I suggested that some innovation on the new "Sphere" class might be considered. In today's world, it can be confusing, especially for new cruisers. to do research on a ship only to find images and information on the "old" Star and Sun.
  9. Your photos are a lovely reminder of our tour there as well last May.
  10. I think that this question would also apply to any ship. People tend to prefer different locations; forward, aft, middle, high, low, etc We prefer aft with a large balcony. We have also enjoyed a huge forward balcony on the Regal on the Lido deck.
  11. Correct. So, again, the color of lane means nothing in either scenario.
  12. Why can't Princess be more creative and come up with some more unique names?
  13. LOL! Unfortunately, it is OFTEN not pronounced correctly.
  14. As I understand it, the blue line indicates that you have not yet supplied all of the needed information to board. You want the green line. And actually, they board you according to if you are disabled, Elite/ Platinum/ Suite; and not necessarily in that order. Yes, Vancouver is nuts.
  15. Let me guess... and the third one will be called the Moon Princess.
  16. My BIL wore shorts most days for our Alaska cruise, just because that is who he is. In all fairness, it was never really that cold. Flip flops are fine for being on the ship, however as has been mentioned for off of the ship, you will be walking on uneven ground, etc.
  17. @Coral Thank you so much for sharing your journey with is. Your photos are lovely. We live "next door" to British Columbia and your suggestion to hang out first at Whistler are brilliant.
  18. @JimmyVWine I am loving your posts, especially #18 on many points! I know at least 2 wines that I will be trying. And I laughed out loud regarding the "Shipwreck Nightmare". DH and I are in total agreement! Truly, what we're they thinking? Oh, clearly they were not thinking. Please share how you pack your wine glasses, as well as how you convince staff that they are yours.
  19. We will be on the Sky which sails June 3 out of Southampton.
  20. Again, to each his own. We did not have views due to the humidity pf the Panama Canal route and lack of window cleaning schedule in this area of the buffet, therefore, no views. And the buffet on the Regal beats all, hands down.
  21. We very much enjoyed our visit to the Blarney Castle and grounds. The Blarney Woolery is very close by in the parking area and we made a visit and I fell in love with the shop. If you purchase 250.00 in their currency, they will ship it at no charge to you in the states. I complied.
