  1. We visited at Christmas one year with our daughters. We lived in Oregon and took the ferry. It is the low season and hotels are not expensive.
  2. "Fancy dress" is another term for formal. Tuxes take up a lot of space.
  3. We ave found that it is much easier to bring fancy dress up clothes when you do not have to fly a long distance to the ship. Luggage is limited, especially when it is a cooler itinerary.
  4. Happy and safe travels! We arrive at Heathrow on Friday for departure on the Sky on Saturday.
  5. In ou r recent experiences, the color of your lane means nothing. When you get there they will put you in groups. Those with disabilities and their party will board first. Then it is Elite/Platinum/ Suites and then everybody else else. We have boarded in Seattle about 3 times. Parking is easy and convenient. I can not believe someone told you that you would tendering! Good grief!
  6. Princess typically has an excursion to the Tattoo.Strange...
  7. The food items are no charge. The IC is a regular go to for us on port days.
  8. Is there a stop in Edinburgh? That is where the Military Tattoo takes place.
  9. Unfortunately, Princess is still requiring this AND NOT Australia or New Zealand. I really do not know why Princess continues this.
  10. So, where is our "Academy Award" for sharing a window cabin with two teenage girls? They were 17 and 14 years old. This was our first cruise and we were quite the newbies! Basically, it was a cabin with 4 twin beds, two of which came from the ceiling. And no, the other two could not become a queen. needless to say that when we treated them to another cruise, they were 27 and 24 and we booked an inside for them right a cross the hall from us in our balcony. That worked out great.
  11. My friend who loves the Golden (now sold) and the Regal, really enjoyed the Discovery on their recent Alaska cruise.
  12. @Rick&Jeannie Thank you for taking us along. We board the Sky a week from tomorrow.
  13. To never book with Princess is from people who are unable to analyze much. It was Mother Nature being herself and had nothing to do with any cruise line. Good grief!
  14. The metal railings are on the bow. They go a few back from the front on the port and starboard sides too.
  15. i used the word "hilarious" in lieu of "facetious".
  16. I had a heck of a time with the port of Grundarfjaroarbaer +spelling?!?!), however we did find am excursion I think we will enjoy.
  17. That would never appeal to me. Thanks for verifying that.
  18. Thank yo so much for taking us along with you. We really enjoyed our full transit itinerary in 2018. We were on the Coral and traveled through the old locks. Your photos are great!
  19. Haines was a short stop on our first Alaska cruise. It is a nice quaint town.
  20. We never had an issue in any of the ports for our British Isles cruise. This was in 2022.
  21. I am.looking forward to your comments. We were on the Regal in 2018 and really enjoyed that ship. The British Isles are fantastic!
  22. If it is refundable OBC, you will receive a refund. So you do not need to spend it at all. We received a check form ours just a few weeks after our cruise.
  23. Thank you. I only need where I can say vegetarian for my preferences. The word "vegan" puts everyone in a tailspin.
  24. @Familycruzer11 When did you speak with the restaurant manager?
