  1. Sent in shareholder request forms for 2 cruises in 2024 this morning. The OBC is already posted to the accounts…as is husband’s military OBC.
  2. Hmm. I'm confused. Right now my husband and I travel together. I have shareholder credit, he has military. We have two types of OBC in one cabin. So are you saying that right now if two separate individuals, with 2 separate accounts, share a cabin and one has shareholder credit and one has military credit that only one of them can claim their credit?
  3. Frankly, I don’t see how it could be per cabin. Let’s say I want to cruise with a friend, and we decide to share a cabin. I have shareholder credit. She has military credit. Which one of us would have to give up the credit?
  4. I recently spent 28 days on the Crown. Yes, the showers are small, but they’ve been small on every other balcony cabin I’ve had on Princess. There is entertainment in the theater, Club Fusion, the Piazza, Explorers Lounge, the Wheelhouse Bar, and probably more places that I’m not thinking of right now. I don’t use the sanctuary so can’t speak to that. The crew is great, and if you live by SF you can’t beat sailing out of there. I’d go back on her anytime.
  5. My husband got sick on the Crown. Tested negative for Covid, but positive for the flu. They then tested me; I was negative. He was quarantined in our cabin, but I was not. He was quarantined until he no longer had a fever…which he just self-reported.
  6. We had one menu. Bangers and mash, fish and chips, ploughman’s lunch, curry, and a scotch egg, but that was on the Crown.
  7. We also had a scotch egg on the menu. And if you have room for dessert, and if you want bread and butter pudding…be sure to ask your server to have them warm it up. 100 times better that way😊
  8. I can deal with regular economy/one up from the bottom; I just didn’t want the lowest no frills at all booking. It’s an international flight on American. We have no status with American, but it was my only non-stop option.
  9. Thanks. I was hoping that was the case.
  10. When it says Economy does that mean it includes a checked bag, and possible seat selection, etc? It isn't the lowest/cheapest level is it?
  11. I wish I would have known before I bought the tokens!
  12. FYI. On the Crown recently you didn’t need to feed tokens into the washer/dryers. You just pushed the coin slot in, and it would start. Don’t know about other ships, but it’s worth a try before you pay for tokens!
  13. Is that round trip? When we went in January it was $29 each way to IAH (the only airport option at the time).
  14. I’m currently on the Crown. I second the use of BART from SFO to the Embarcadero. No one ever checked our boarding time when we embarked, so no matter what group you’re in, you can board as soon as the ship opens up. I don’t know if this will change on the Crown before your cruise, but as of now, this is the only ship I’ve been on that doesn’t open a main dining room for lunch.
  15. Anyone recently take Uber or Lyft to LAX after your cruise? I’m trying to compare that cost to a Princess transfer…which is $34 each. Thanks
  16. If I opt to book a different hotel, can I arrange to take the Princess shuttle from one of their hotels to the ship on embarkation day?
  17. We took the Princess transfer from IAH in January. $29 each, and the transfer worked well. We were told to be at the terminal by 10AM (we had gotten into Houston a couple of days before), we got there early and were on the bus by 10. Took it back to IAH after the cruise. Were told to book flight 6.5 hrs after the ships arrival Got back to IAH by around 10AM...had a long wait at the airport until our flight left at 2.
  18. Our first cruise after the shutdown we went to Alaska. At the time Princess said 3 days for testing , but Canada (and ArriveCan) said 72 hrs before boarding. Everyone was in a tizzy. What if you test at 11am, but then don’t actually get on the ship until noon??!! I changed my testing time twice, and in the end they barely even glanced at my test results.
  19. The Ruby only had the marginal vanilla/chocolate choices, but the Royal changed flavors daily. Thought the vanilla/orange was quite good. 😁
  20. I’m returning to San Pedro in mid April. If I look at EZ Air, the earliest flight I can book is 11:45….so that makes me think 11:30 would work.
  21. I am intrigued by this, but how does it work when you use a TA? I have to send my payment to her.
