  1. So how trusty is your source. Cause nothing like posting i know something but not going to tell you.
  2. First three I wouldn't care about. LAst ones I be sad as your only get 5 in return. I'm doing 56 days on 2025 WC and hoping that still goes ahead through canal.
  3. ummm where the revised itinerary? Is something missing from the OP post.
  4. No different in a port stop in Bali 2hours plus waiting to board Diamond Princess and that a smaller ship.
  5. Same. Ok if they ported out of Melbourne. But when you have to fly to Sydney. You got flights, accommodation, meals, taxis it all can add up to extra $1000. Or make a rookie mistake like I did a Xmas and forgot our passports got to airport and only realised. Had to turn back to Ballarat to fetch them. Missed our flights. Had to buy new flights same day with Qantas and that cost us $800. Couldn't claim on insurance.
  6. I'm not really understanding why your complaining. You got the refund. Least you didn't have to wait three weeks or more.
  7. Maybe cause I'm in my 50s and Princess passenger and did Celebrity Cruises when I was in my 40s 😄 I like the Celebrity product but I don't like the USD in Australian waters.
  8. AUD if the sailing out of AUstralia or NZ ports for casino. Tight machines. Always take my money 😄
  9. That the risk you take when you don't take insurance especially with something like first cruise on brand new ship.
  10. Anyway under 3500 passengers and I consider sailing on it.
  11. Is it because you havent actually reached the milestone yet. Maybe go back at the start of your next cruise (ie the second back to back). Though I suspect its something to do with the mediallion which lump the whole cruise together. If you log into the ap what does it say?
  12. I caught a cab. Thought is was resonable I think about 30-40 from memory.
  13. We won two seats at the Chefs Table.
  14. Light weight clothes and pack a jumper or two and jacket. Also not everywhere has AC and depending where you go the humidity levels vary. The weather is very variable at the moment in Australia. Also watch the sun. Though you might look up and think oh its cloudy no need to wear hat or apply sunscreen. Wrong. Can still get sunburn.
  15. The Royal Princess didn't have any AUD plugs. Lucky I brought converters/adaptors and also cabin steward got me one too.
  16. Port fees is the reason. I asked the Future Cruise Consultant onboard Royal Princess about the Melbourne situation.
  17. There never really a perfect time to go that region. Though some times slightly more safer than other times. I've been pretty lucky as I have managed to get through most of the middle East except for Iran/Iraq in 2005 and then I went back to Egypt/Jordan in 2012. I've never cruised through the canal though.
  18. Thanks guys for your posts. I too have been following your discussions. Everyone likes a good repo 🙂
  19. Nope they not giving them out any more. We cruised in Suite on Royal Princess and they didn't have them at all and I saw no other passengers with them either. Also pen and note pad seems to have vanished from rooms too.
  20. Nothing. They do have staff monitoring passengers in buffet area asking them to wash their hands. But I didn't eat at the buffet this cruise at all.
  21. Splendour is a weird layout. Just got to remember the Dolly PArton song and you be fine. Its not my favourite Carnival ship (mainly due to layout), but the staff were fantastic on there. We had some very good dining room staff.
  22. Nothing wrong with staying in Auckland for a week. There is heaps to see. Also Auckland does have a fairly good public bus system. Plus there is the ferries to the Islands too.
  23. Nice. I like Voyager. Any sort of inkling how its getting to Australia. Isn't it in Europe at moment?
