We were recently in a Corner SS on the Silhouette. We could not find any outlets. The cabin attendant showed us that there was one plug under the desk. There were 2 USB ports in the base of a lamp. There was also an electrical outlet in the bathroom that amazingly didn’t kick out my water pick. It was a challengetrying to charge a IPad, Apple Watch, and IPhone that both of us had. I use to participate in a Rolex Forum. Everyone always joked about their or someone else’s Invicta collection. I agree with all of the other comments. There may be better watches but at $69 if it is want you like and want go for it. You can’t expect a Patek, Omega, Rolex, Tag, Cartier, Panerai, IWC and etc quality. At $69 it isn’t an investment. It is a man’s jewelry or accessory. If you want or need accurate time use your smart phone. Unless the watch is a quartz. I doubt if you can find a mechanical TAG for that price. Not always true. Recently got off of the Silhouette. There was Woodford Double Oak in some bars. The BT said he couldn’t get it. It didn’t have anything about tipping him as I did it often. I think if you are in a Royal Suite or above they may make special accommodations. There was one couple that mentioned to the BT that they were the ones that had some special scotch on another cruise. I asked him about it and he said that when they were in a port that scotch was purchased for them. He didn’t give any further details. They must have been in a cheaper suite as he didn’t give them anything special. We spent a lot of time in the Retreat Lounge and seen them there a few times and they got the scotch off of the rack. A few cruises ago my wife ordered a Moscow Mule with Russian Standard. The server said it is a premium vodka and would be a $10 up charge over our premium beverage package. No thanks. Russian Standard is not a premium vodka. Just got off of the Silhouette and Blanton was a $4 up charge over the premium package, Basil Hayden was about a $10 up charge ???? No rhyme or reason in their pricing. Ketel One has now replaced Grey Goose in the Martini Bar for most martinis The photo must be a real premium Vodka that was being sold in a Caribbean port. Notice the price is $55 but it was duty free 😱🤗. I think it sells at Costco for $19 or $29 at the most. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

We just got off the ship. First time not booking another cruise while on board. For us the vibe seemed to be missing. The BT’s in the Martini Bar weren’t really as entertaining as we have always experienced on other ships. The Matini menu has changed. If you want something from the old menu download a menu that has been posted in the past or remember the name of the one you want. Kettle One has replaced Grey Goose in most of the martinis The WCB was also ho hum. I don’t think the BTs there are as good as they use to be when they only served the drinks that were for the WCB. They seem to be making more of the other drinks than those on the menu and didn’t have the time to make the WCB menu drinks properly. Overall the food was good, and there was a lot of variety. Naturally there were hits and misses. The adult frisky game shows were really idiotic and stupid. Attended a few and didn’t bother going to the others. Liars club was good as usual. The CD Mike had a good talk about the Titanic but it conflicted with something else. We were still able to see it on the TV in the cabin as it was shown many times rotating with other shows, or talks on the CD channel We also had a problem with luggage delivery. After many inquests we were finally told around 6 pm that it is the security room. Went down there. They searched the bag. I asked what was the problem and they wouldn’t tell me nor could they find anything. Overall the staff worked very hard, service was great but you could see that they were understaffed. Wishful thinking. Lunch has never been a part of AQ and I doubt that X would start will all of the other cuts. There have been terraces on the other Edge class ships and were never used because of the wind and eventually eliminated Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

My wife no longer lets me go alone to get drinks. The problem is I order 2 at the bar of the drinks I want because I am usually in a conversation with someone. I finish one and then order one for me and one for my wife, and leave with 2 drinks for me and one for her. One of those for me is a traveler. Drink up 🍹🍾🍸🍷🥂🧉🥃

I recently replaced the toilet in our basement lab. I bought it on line from Costco. It is a very nice toilet but not as good as the Toto that is in the main. It is a single piece Kohler for $350. Most places it sells for $500. I like the single piece toilets as it eliminated the possible leak between the bowl and tank. It also looks cleaner. It was delivered to the house and they put in the basement. Gave them a TIP for doing that even though they weren’t expecting one. You can find toilets for a little more than $100 at most major do it yourself stores. Depending on what style you want and brand. Bought this from HD. Would highly recommend. Almost fool proof and no worry about the wax ring leaking. It is a vey simple installation. The longest time was cleaning off the old caulk and sucking the water out of the toilet with a shop vac. There are many videos on UTube showing how to replace a toilet. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

Not impressed with the Thermal Suite on the E class. the loungers aren’t as comfortable. They are under a slanted window with sun shining on the loungers, naturally depending on where the sun is. Those rooms are boring. Sit in a room with a salt block or crystal? The rain showers would be like walking thru a car wash. It is a corridor with the shower heads above. Not individual stalls. The swing chair is for design and not function We like the Persian Gardens on the S class Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

Having that dedicated lounge makes it easier to get the free drinks as they are premade in large batches and you don’t have to wait as long for the BTs serving those with a drink pack at the other bars. As I said why be a snob and only mingle with those that are Elite or above? If It wasn’t about the drink and they had a dedicated lounge for elite and above from 5 to 7 without the free HH drinks how many would attend? 🤗 Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

No room service on the last day, and yes Blu is open. It opens earlier than 8 on the last day. I think at 6 or 6:30. They want you ready to leave the ship by 8. Many take their carry ons to the restaurant because of the elevator service. It isn’t easy getting an elevator down, then back to your cabin and then back down. If capable take the stairs. But it may be difficult going down with your carry on. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

The comment about having the dedicated lounge isn’t about the drinks it is for those that want to connect with others sharing their stories, really? 🤷‍♂️🙄 I don’t care if anyone is elite or above and sorry but yes it is the drinks, if not why would anyone go there there during those hours? You received a move up “offer”. It doesn’t mean that you are going to get it for the minimum or at any extra cost. If you could get the cabin upgrade to a suite from Aqua for $600 pp that would be $1200 total plus the extra in difference for gratuities. That is a little less than $100/day. You get a larger cabin, some lunches in Luminae and some other amenities. Embarkation and disembarkation priorities. You will keep the same perks you booked but not those that come with a suite. It is only up to you to decide if you are willing to pay $1200 or more than what you planned on. If it was me I would go for it and add a little to the minimum amount. Happy cruising. 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

When I redid my bathroom I installed a heated fog free mirror. It is a nice touch. It also has a built in night light Happy cruising. 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

What really ticks me off is I have booked 10 cruises in SS while on board because of the butler service and other perks that were in the suites. They are NRD bookings. I booked for those services and now they aren’t being provided. If I cancel I will lose my deposits. It is a breach of contract. It isn’t worth suing over as It would cost more legal fees but it may be something to look into for a class action lawsuit. 🤷‍♂️ Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

Could be as it isn’t even Thanksgiving, or Halloween and stores and houses are already doing Christmas decorations. Remember that Thanksgiving day is a U.S.A. celebration. Other countries don’t recognize it, same as other U.S.A holidays. And the same for Christmas. It is a Christian Holiday and there are many that cruise that have their own religious holidays. We have been on cruises during that time period and have seen Christmas decorations being set up at the end of the cruise at the end of Nov. I don’t know if you read the whole article but I think he addresses everything with the assumptions. He also mentioned that you should go to his forum for the exact math and if he would do a further review. Basically the main reason for this thread is that he mentioned about playing for the entertainment and also the link for Timeplay.com that shows how much the various games generate for the cruise lines, and he thought that the game was well done. The game is just a blind luck game unless you are drawn to be a player. We have always played on every cruise. There were 2 times that the same person was draw for both sessions and also for the bonus spin of winning a free cruise. Something fishy? on our last cruise when we purchased our cards the cashier said here is a winner. We won $500 by matching 7. Coincidence? Will never know if they know what the winning cards are.
